      Every single time.. it's the best choice by far and still hits emotionally. Clementine and Lee's close surrogate relationship just about demands it. In my opinion, anyway. Once selected, they both get to tell each other that they'll miss one another and they both get to HEAR it said to one another. Idk, it's just the perfect choice.

Then end of season 1 or 2 i think we have to put Lee down that was really tough for me. And even they made game better in final didn't do a rush job. Truly a masterpiece.

      I agree. I just prefer Clem's overall story arc over Elly's. It's less pessimistic, and I love how her story comes full circle. I also liked that some cultural tensions were still leftover from before the zombie takeover. It's brought up very rarely and doesn't have a huge impact, but it's a nice touch.

      @Charbonsteam Год назад +17

      @@azoniarnl3362 What do you mean? That might be one reason, but that's not all of it. At that point it was a mercy kill. Having Lee turn would be the absolute worst and Clem was already mature enough to realize that she had to do it. Both had already spent so much time together and got to know each other, like they were family. Personally, I would not want to watch my family turn into walkers, I'd rather end it right then and there. Leaving Lee alive would just be cruel, even though it is equally as cruel that a child would have to pull the trigger, I get that. Maybe I just didn't quite understand your post, if you'd like you could elaborate. This isn't an angry comment btw, just to be clear.

    The Telltale series is actually set in the Comic continuity. Glenn and Hershel's backstories were actually a bit vague in the comics, with this game simply showing why Hershel's son Shawn is Undead when Rick and Co show up at the farm, and where Glenn came from before making his way to Atlanta, where he eventually meets Rick. And in Season 3/A New Frontier, a Main character of the comics from later in the series, Paul "Jesus" Monroe shows up and accompanies the group of characters in that season, Clementine included, and Final Season has a character named James who's a former member of The Whisperers, a villain group in the comics, and he says he left because they were going to attack a community of survivors, which is either Hilltop or Alexandria, both settlements managed by Rick and the gang. Lilly was actually Retconned to Not be the character from the Comics though. In fact, Lilly Caul, the comic character, is also the protag of a Novel series that's also canon to the comic continuity, while Telltale Lilly would return in Telltale's Final Season and... Changed a lot, to not spoil stuff for anyone out of the loop. Pretty neat honestly. And there's nothing in the Telltale series that's said about the wider world that would contradict the comics in any way.

      @@quinnmarchese6313 Exactly. In contrast to Fear The Walking Dead, the first spinoff from the TV show. See, before there was the dumb stuff like nukes and Philosophy Degree dialogue from every character and all that crap from season 4 onwards, the first 3 seasons were actually pretty good. Just another story in the Walking Dead universe, but set on the west coast. Fear's 4th season onwards have pretty ridiculous things like unseen, unmentioned relatives of characters showing up after they died, but apparently, the current season, season 8, brought back Troy Otto, one of the main villains from season 3, the last good season, after his last appearance showed him getting conked on the head hard enough to bleed by series protagonist Madison, and then seen afterwards washing up on the shore that Madison also washes up on following a flood resulting from a Dam being blown up later in the episode. Apparently Troy showed up in season 8, having miraculously survived being conked with a hammer and likely drowning in the flood from the dam. Ridiculous.

      But funny enough, the devs confirmed that originally, Lilly was supposed to return with the RV in the last episode to be the main antagonist, having followed the group to Savannah. But the devs switched to The Stranger because they figured that Lilly being the main villain of the season would be dumb and not make sense, just like how Last of Us' originally had its story focus on Tess hunting Joel and Ellie across the country, before Naughty Dog changed that in the final game to where Joel is escorting Ellie across the country because she's immune... Before they had Ellie and Abby hunt each other for vengeance bullshit in Last of Us 2 like 4 times over the crouse of the game.

    This series fundamentally changed me as a person and how I viewed people and the world as I grew up, and to this day it’s probably the most emotional game I’ve ever played. Lee’s journey as a person and his relationship with Clem makes him my favorite video game protagonist. What stands out to me is that you can tailor how Lee reacts to certain situations and his relationships with others, but there are core things about his character that doesn’t change. Some people might chalk this up to your “choices not mattering”, and while I understand that for some story beats, I don’t agree with it for Lee. You can make Lee an angel straight from heaven or the biggest asshole on Earth, but it doesn’t change the fact that Lee at his core always does what he believes is right. It’s that kind of nuance that makes him feel like a real person rather than a character.

    im here because i was just thinking about replaying this full series again and watching this made me really want to. i really loved the Original Series of the show and that made me learn about and like maybe even more so the comic, then i found out about telltales game and then i fell in love with this story as well. when the og show was ending i even "created" an idea that they were going to do the best idea for a spinoff by taking Daryl (maybe even Morgan), Judith, and Rj and incorporating telltales story into live action using Daryl or Morgan as a Lee type character (if he would have came back like i had hoped) and obviously Judith and Rj as Clem and Aj. i could see that story play out perfectly. it makes soo much sense to me to have Daryl, Judith and Rj go searching for Rick and Michonne and have a very similar story arc to the game and it would all still work for the show. they probably could have "milked" several seasons out of that spinoff and it be way better than all these other ones. i did like Fear but they needed to completely end the OG story without spinoffs. kill off everyone off but Daryl, Judith, and Rj in order to have this story arc. i just dont know why they didnt do it, it was set up so perfectly. lol

    One tip when creating videos: if you can skip the intro to a video and still understand what it's about, then the intro doesn't need to be there.
    Intros are for complicated subjects that need a preface to understand it, it's good to put things in laymans terms when needed but the subject matter is something people who'd watch this video would understand.

But apparently she was fine if you let a teacher and two students die because they didn't have enough supplies... Make it make sense lily

    One of my favorite things about replaying this game was finding out which QTEs you can fail yet still keep the story going.
    My personal favorites are in the final chapter.
    In Lee's final trek to save Clem by going through the horde, you're able to fail a few QTEs that honestly feels more dramatic. Lee gets bitten even more but since he's already turning, he just shrugs off the damage and keeps on going.
    And in the struggle against the stranger, if you fail the QTE to strangle him, he'll turn around and strangle Lee to near death, but before Lee passes out, Clem will shoot the stranger in the head to save Lee. Definitely more dramatic to me.
    I loved the missable things, though few they are.

    Dave Fennoy and Melissa Hutchison did such an amazing job voicing the characters of Lee Everret and Clementine. In my humble opinion i think it is the best voice acting in any video game ever. The death of Lee was the only occasion I've ever had to call in sick to work to deal with emotions evoked by a video game. I rarely call out sick for any reason, but I did for Lee.

      I wish he had fessed up to Lee right after the first wave of accusations, confiding in him that he made the deal in the interest of the group and being embarrassed about getting caught alone. It would have really shown the other adults the kid just isnt mature enough for the stuff their putting on him and just maybe the group coulda worked with him on improving.
