    Wow, some truly wild romances!
Great to see how different courtship rituals are taking place in the natural world. Our crew recently also filmed birds which are working as wingmen for each other: The alpha male is supported by two junior dancers; they practice together and at the end, the boyband sings and "dance" to attract the blue manakin female. The beauty of nature never fails to amaze!

I can't get enough of anything to do with the animal kingdom. I love being a spectator to the most interesting and beautiful creations. As humans we are always preaching coexisting with other humans but we haven't even learned how to coexist with animals without exploiting them for profit. We need to do better.

I was disappointed because of the anthropomorphic descriptions in the monarch butterfly story. Objective observation and description is more scientific. This one reeked of sexism and misogyny more than most.

The male orchid bees he is handling do not sting. They don't even have a stinger. While the females do have stingers, they seldom sting--they are solitary, so there is no hive to defend.

It is actually going a lot better with almost all bee species aside from the domesticated honey bee. It is actually a good thing it is threatened with extinction in the Americas. Where it is reducing and out competing other native bee species.
Social media always likes to turn things into some drama-show even tho it is actually very good for biodiversity.
Not saying that the honey bee should go extinct ofc, but in some places it wouldn't be bad if it would just be gone (But ofc we humans like to bring in invasive spiecies.)

No closed captions options. Not even a youtube auto-generated version. That makes me sad. It's the only way for me to know what's being said sometimes, even if auto CC is crazy flawed. At least the animals are pretty to look at.

Please explain to me how the horrible way monkeys treat each other because of "status" is "wildly entertaining" to you or the fact that you " assumed" that anyone with a heart would think so? Plus, monkeys stuffing their face pouches w yummy fruit, while one sad female eats grass has nothing to even do with mating

Can’t really endure hearing that woman’s voice narrating in the beginning.. or the one right after, as I’m listening as I type.. but haha , nature.. got to love all the hilarious stuff these animals do.. If they leave out the Bactrian camel, they’re just missing out. NEVER have I laughed as hard as I did watching those camels. ( David Attenborough narrated an episode showing their behaviors when trying to get the attention of the females ha ha!
So many animals have the strangest and most elaborate mating rituals ! Between birds, even a lot of fish , reptiles and uhh pretty much anything, there’s some really elaborate stuff going into it.

    • @Tinyvalkyrie410

It didn’t. Nature doesn’t purposely do anything. Traits arise through random mutation and if it’s not useful it doesn’t stick around. “Survival of the fittest” is actually inaccurate. “Survival of the fit enough” is closer to the true. For mammals, who cannot produce many pigments in their skin and don’t need ultraviolet to distinguish food sources, the mutation doesn’t have an advantage. But we can see the color blue because it helps to determine fruit ripeness.

Why don't you not add the clip of the monkeys, especially the same sad one, over and over again, we get it, we all feel bad for the pregnant monkey that gets none. That clip has NOTHING to do with "animal mating rituals. Come out with something new already
