I believe that card combat mechanic started with We the People (GMT version changed it to a die roll) and Hannibal.
Nice review gents! Good job of explaining the rules and the parts that you liked and didn’t. On balance, it sounds well thought out, playable, and fun. Timely too- I’m getting ready to put it on the table soon.
A must have for any Australian or New Zealand Wargames. Added to my list of must have games.
Gallipoli is a little-gamed subject. I applaud this game.
