Knew you had great music taste since finding your work via your Berlin Souls video + Men I Trust in your NY video - awesome to hear Burial on this one. Fantastic shots and colours as always, love the shadow shot at 1:21 especially 👌 A few of your cut/time remixes remind me of Bonobo - Kerala too What lenses do you typically carry when traveling about like this? I'm still hopping between minimal kit ideas so it's not too annoying to carry, but versatile enough at the same time. (Kinda craving that 10mm now 😂)
Hey Matt! Thanks a ton for the kind words, really means a lot! The music is a huge part of my video work, and I'm glad you appreciate it! And hey, the Bonobo comparison is a huge compliment - love Kerala's groove. So at the moment, when I shoot for this kind of project I carry the Sigma 24-70 and the 7artisans 10mm F2.8. The Sigma is definitely not a compact lens but is basically glued to my S5 nowadays, such a workhorse. The 7artisan is surprisingly good, such a fun lens.
@@RobOliveri (I replied to this one but I guess it didn't save) You're welcome! Agreed, music is such a huge part of my projects too. Really would love to make something around Burial - Gutted at some point, the samples in it are so good. Nice choices! I think we both went along the same lines then, I went for a 28-70 2.8 which is a bit more compact/lighter as an option, also lives on my camera! Then I just picked up the Sigma 45 2.8 for £190 on ebay, not tested yet but it's a really tiny lens that should be a nice option for more "sketchy" locations. That's the main reason I like smaller options I think, even if it's just in my head, it makes me more comfortable wandering around with it vs a huge expensive looking lens 😅
Really great ambiance you’ve created here 👌🏻

absolutely stunning, what lens are you using for those wide/fish eye shots?
Thank you! I've used the 7artisans 10mm F2.8.
Could i ask what lenses were used? Have an S5 arriving nxt week. Thanks.
This was filmed on the Sigma 24-70 and the 7artisan 10mm
@@RobOliveri oh wow 7artisan, surprising results. Amazing what can be done with a cheap lens. Thank you!
Great video! what lens did you use?
Thank you so much. This was filmed with the Sigma 24-70 👊🏻
looks amazing. what film emulation? also what is the wide angle lens at 1:15mn? thanks
Thank you so much! I used Film Unlimited as a base and tweaked a couple of nodes. The lens is the 7artisans 10mm F2.8.
@@RobOliveri thank you . just saw the movie "the favorite 2018" where he uses fisheye lenses a lot. i am starting to like the look
Amazing work - what are you using for the film transitions?
Thank you! I don't really use pre-made transitions, these are made by stacking up different assets and elements that I've collected over the years :)
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Roshan!
beautiful - any chance you could send me a link to the camera click sfx in the first 4 seconds
Thank you! Can't remember where I downloaded it from, to be honest.
great stuff man. do you shoot 4k FF or apsc? if so, how do you deal with the usual rolling shutter on the S5?
Thanks man! I always shoot in 4K. The rolling shutter is pretty bad, you just have to shoot steady scenes or embrace it (like i did in past videos)
Woo first! How are you liking your lumix coming from a sony! How do you like it!
Loving it man. Amazing colour science and overall a really solid camera.
