    Thinking about doing this to my DRZ but will have to check the clearance with my aftermarket tank to be sure they'll work. The stock mirrors for now don't bother me and are doing a good job.

      What tank is it? I have the biggest Safari tank and it is no problems at all. Even with the tank bag on.

    If you still reply, what is the diameter of your clamp? i bought a bar end mirror and tried putting it on but my bar is to thick to fit it arount. But idk if i'm doing something wrong!

      my diameter is 25mm but i can't find how thick my bar is, if you can find out how thick the steering wheel of a Rieju MRT Pro SM 50 2021 is that would help out a lot!

    the controls of my wr450f are in the way, it seems like theres no way to get the mirrors nicely placed, am i doing something wrong ?

    • @JoeJoeMoto
      @JoeJoeMoto  11 месяцев назад

      Hmmm. Not sure. Sometimes the handlebars are very packed with gear, especially something with lots of controls on the bars. You may just have to go further inward with them. Would that work?

  • @tommyrs96
    @tommyrs96 10 лет назад

    Great vid, very useful, just a question: how do you "fill" the base of the previous mirrors? As you know, they were screwed on the "base". It's a bit ugly to see that "empty space", any suggestion?

  • @Veloxzr
    @Veloxzr 9 лет назад +7

    Has anyone ever tried these type of mirrors and found that they just don't fit your handlebars? I'm trying on my '13 drz400 and even after grinding the inner edge down to make them loser, they still won't fit no matter what I do. Ideas?

    • @JoeJoeMoto
      @JoeJoeMoto  9 лет назад

      +Veloxzr That's a real bummer mate! You might have really thick bars or something. Not sure what you could really try apart from different bars.

      These are simply from e-bay. You just search for Bar End mirrors and they are always there. They are generic so they should fit most bikes the way I have mounted them.

    Are these mirrors durable and good quality? cause i really want to get a pair for my wr125x but it seems like 10 dollars or so is a little cheap

    • @JoeJoeMoto
      @JoeJoeMoto  10 лет назад +1

      Durable and good quality? Nope, not at all. But they will last you a very long time having said that. I ride on the dirt and stack it all the time as you know if you have watched my videos. They only snap if I land down hard on them. They have never just broken or fallen off on their own. So I guess they are pretty durable and decent quality after all. And if you are not riding offroad much on your x, they should last you a very long time.

      Hey mate. These fit 22mm bars only. Unfortunately they won't fit that size bar unless you can get them super close to where the grip sits as it they all taper down to 22mm as far as I know.

    Another question, I just bought www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007KPXDK2 them, but I have a ktm 690 smc r. The mirrors are too loose, I was looking for strengthening them, but don't know how. Any tips? I think maybe a longer screw would fix it, doesn't it? Thanks for the help

    • @JoeJoeMoto
      @JoeJoeMoto  10 лет назад

      Hey mate. They look similar to mine. The trick with mine is to tighten the bolt that is closest to the mirror first, all the way, till it is super tight, then do the other one on the other side of the bar. If this is still not working. You could possibly pack out around the ball on the end of the mirror arm to give the clamp more to clamp onto.

    • @tommyrs96
      @tommyrs96 10 лет назад

      JoeJoe Moto how can I "pack out around the ball"?

    • @JoeJoeMoto
      @JoeJoeMoto  10 лет назад

      Tommaso Timpano I would first try it out with something simple like some little squares of cardboard or fabric to see if it works.

    • @tommyrs96
      @tommyrs96 10 лет назад

      JoeJoe Moto do you think it would work with some insulation tape around the ball? to make it thicker

    • @JoeJoeMoto
      @JoeJoeMoto  10 лет назад

      Tommaso Timpano Yeah, electrical tape should work. Just keep wrapping some on and trying it until it gets tight enough.
