I thought Academy Guide would be the budget version of Dungeon Guide. Thanks to that not happening though, I still get to keep my Peaceful Reunion and now even Plea for Peace and Vanish From Sight.
I opened 6 cases and didn't pull a single Temporal Spectrometer. Did consistantly pull 1 Academy Guide per case. The Astrolobe by far seems to be the most common UR.
Sounds like a cash grab to sell boxes instead of a game to play. I’ll stay with MtG, Dragon Ball Masters, One Piece, and Digimon where its more affordable with optional collectibility....
Personally. If you think MTG is not a cash grab… brother I got some play boosters to sell to you. Put this in perspective. Grand Archive booster boxes are around 80-90. MTG $130-150. What does affordability even mean?
@@SolarGamesllc i think hasbro is out for a cash grab but its more optional and easier to play at a budget. pauper, casual commander. i have friends who spent less than $50 and have 3 commander decks and 2 competitive standard decks and we have an awesome game sessions. tell me, what does $50 get you in grand archive?
@@tcgmetaslayer4202 GA is fully playable on TTS (For Free). TTS costs $20 if you don't have it (sometimes on sale for less). Many players requests TTS games on the discord all the time. Regarding your comment on competitive standard deck for less than $50. What do you mean by "Competitive"? You don't have to believe me that GA is a much better and more affordable game than MTG, just ask the players that play both (like me) why we switched over.
I play both GA and Sorcery, and will politely disagree that Sorcery is not a game. The current league has record number of players, pure gameplay focused discords are thriving, and dozens of grassroots tournaments are being run all over the world. This all points towards organic, player-based growth independent of the collectors' side. Finally (this is subjective), but having played dozens of cards games over the years (Netrunner is probably my favourite), I can say Sorcery is in my top 3 mechanically - it's definitely more than just a pretty face!
even many people in the Sorcery community call it more collectible than game, they just want their tendies, not everyone there wants this game to actually be playable, those are the TCG investors that unironically scoff at "game pieces"
Respectfully disagree on the grounds that people care about the game and go above and beyond to support it. About 30 people volunteered their whole weekend to staff Ascent Ontario. One judge flew across the country on his dime because the game is that valued to him. Metazoom was never like that. People only cared about the money.
Pretty lame attitude. If a turd like MetaZoo with no gameplay can survive for a few years I'm pretty sure GA will be okay for a while. Maybe it will die, I hope not, it's actually a good game unlike a lot of the TCG turds that get shat out.
That's cool idea to have exclusive cards in the theme decks. So many games just load them with the same cards you can get in the booster boxes

For me it was magebang lash haha. We have so many of them in NorCal.
Mark the machine. Streams all day yesterday, then drops a video first thing in the morning.

I opened 9 boxes and got 1 Academy Guide. 😢
I did open an event pack today and got an academy guide. So I’m at 3 now still not a play set.
My bad I never got to join the Patreon on time Mark, if there ends up being a second wave I’ll for sure join up for ALC
Never too late. I’m working on getting some more boxes for a patron sale. But rough times.
Patron after your awesome casting
Thanks!!!!
Omg is that Mark from Solar Games?!?!
I like your channel WAY better than affinity for mtg that channel was very rude and doesn't tell the truth. Rock on 🤟
ALC to the moon!
Let’s gooooo. But seriously ALC is just a great set, with so many options.

Is the game still a combo fuckfest? I really hated the meta from the first set.
Which combo did you not like?
Another dead game in 2-3 years.
Then when it dies everyone will blame anyone who sold it to them and call them scammers and thieves.

People are into GA for the gameplay.
Unlike Metapoo whose sale relies on "hitting the moon"
No game out there does both high quality Collector cards and amazing game play like grand archive does.
