Oh my goodness, I wish that I had heard this song last year. But God has got me and has been growing me and I have to lay down my regrets at His feet and my past that I can’t edit. I found this song by chance when I was compiling the wedding song list for me and my fiancée. Immediately got goosebumps and thought "this is us". The amount of shit we've dealt with since getting together is unbelievable. Still, I was unsure about putting it on the list because it starts in a seemingly bad place and was initially a breakup song, but in the end I put it there as a later track. I was supposed to walk down the isle to one of the wedding classics. Then on the wedding day, our music player malfunctioned - at first it wasn't playing at all and I thought, great, so we have no wedding music. Then at last it started playing, but the order of the tracks was all scrambled, and this song came out as the first one. I teared up and thought, okay, I guess it was meant to be. It was meaningful, heartfelt and perfect.
