I have the same one on order. You don't have to unscrew anything to change the blade. Just push in the "top frame" of the blade holder and pull out the blade, insert a new one. Done! easy.

Someone else online mentioned it was possible to quickly change blades without unscrewing the sideplate. Can you please explain it in slightly more detail? I still don't quite understand how I'm supposed to do this.

Dude! I picked one of these up a few months back. For the $, I love it. Definitely not a great flipper, but it's now my EDC pocket knife. Just a super cool piece for opening bags/boxes. 👍

You still use this? How's it holding up?

@@luismacotela-garcia6665 I haven't been carrying it much lately. Just enjoying some nicer live balis at the moment. Overall though, it has held up well. No major issues. Only problem I have run into is that the latch is starting to get loose. It's very easy to accidentally pop it open now. Probably a combination of the brass wearing and the cheap zen pins compressing.

Saw the Arena "brand" on another video, which appears to be the same exact piece rebranded and for $120.
So glad I stumbled onto your vid!

I've been EDCing one of these for 3.5 months now. It doesn't carry inertia very well for rollover type tricks because it's VERY lightweight (titanium). However, it is definitely TOUGH as nails. I've easily dropped it from chest level on hard floors, including concrete, at least 30 times. It still works great, locks up solid, and only has a tiny bit more play than it did brand-new (like maybe an extra couple of milimeters between both handles when open). Lastly, as for being "like a scalpel", I've found that it's actually pretty difficult to draw blood from mistakes/bites with this specific bali. The blade and knife are so light that it usually just bounces back off my skin. It does cut a tiny bit when this happens, but usually not deep enough to bleed. I'm sure that might be different if I were to put a heavier blade in the head/holder, like the custom damascus ones or something. However, with the standard stainless or carbon steel razor blades, I find that bites actually bleed less often than not. Even when they do bleed, they're still VERY light and shallow knicks, similar to a paper cut, so they don't bleed for long and heal pretty fast. Overall, I'm VERY impressed, especially for $35-40. This thing is significantly better than most $100 knives, it blows a Kimura out of the water.

The blade can still be replaced without unscrewing. Towards the top side of these blade holder you can pry it open to remove and insert. It's designed to work this way and take a little bit to get use to

Is this the arena accessories Butterfly Utility Knife?

  • @ryanjohnson1814

I worry the set screws will not hold, under heavy pressure. I cut 1/4, thick cardboard pallets down, even with a brand new plate, I got to use heavy pressure to cut a strip of cardboard on the 1/4 thick, I've hD my blade yank out, come out a few times. So, if u got some 1/4, thick card board, maybe u can do a video of quickly cutting strip over 3 foot long, not up and down buy, as a card board vat would be , side cut, not top and button cutting. Any chance?
