Fun fact to those newer balisong buyers You can always buy a cheap one then buy some cheap parts which are used in the expensive stuff and or use oil or other tool enhancing liquids and take off certain parts of the balisong to make it balanced and light
I have the five dollar one, and it does wear pretty fast (At least if you are new, trying out new tricks, and constantly using it), but it does stay pretty consistent with how the tricks end up, once you know it, until you forget, you'll never mess it up, so at least for a beginner like me, who doesn't want to spend a few hundred on a knife, then its a good buy (especially if you think you can break something made of steel)
With the price of Legos these days that should be right down the middle of this comparison at about $50 setting it at 1/10 the price of the expensive one and 10 times the price of the cheaper

My first one i got was a bear and sons one with wood grips, and its alright but i spent the 120 and upgraded to a Kershaw Lucha and i love it. I carry it everywhere. Someday i want to get one in the $500 range though

i have one of the $5 ones, it’s ok if you want to fool around with the balisong and maybe do a few tricks. but after a few weeks it falls apart and the play is insane. spend the extra money to get something higher quality. a good trainer to start with and just play around with is a squid industries squiddy. it’s plastic, super smooth, and light so it’s perfect for a beginner. it’s $41 plus shipping but it’s the cheapest trainer that won’t fall apart in a few months

No, he had his finger on the balance point on both. The balance point is different on them, the cheap has it way further back on the handles.
