I just got mine two weeks ago here in NYC. I’m flying on 5th Avenue going to work and back home to queens. It’s solid the wide wheels give you great stability and good suspension. Powerful total 1000 watts. Hills and bridges are no problem. When I go to work I know I don’t have to worry about a flat tire and getting late to work. And on my days off I go for a ride just for fun it’s a trill. Mine is without the key I think that is unnecessary. The baddest bat mobile looking scooter. I’m glad I got one .

Tony Aguilar I’ll rate it at 10. I was last Thursday on the west side bike lane. I rode it from midtown to battery park and all the way the upper west side 98 street and it was a cool feeling and a smooth ride that bike lane pavement is flat with some steep hills and curves a lot of fun some other scooters couldn’t make it I just pass next to them smiling. And the view from the Hudson River was amazing while speeding and passing some bikes a trill ride . For the price it’s great the only one on the price range it’s the zero 9. The zero 9 got some led lights under the board which I can easily install on my wide wheel too with battery led so no need to open the board and solder cables. And the tires on the zero 9 can go flat and need maintenance. That’s why I’m happy with my wide wheel pro. If I want to purchase another scooter in the future it will be a Dualtron Thunder. It’s over 3.5 k and in another rage of scooters. But at this moment I’m having a trill ride with my wide wheel pro while some people say it’s a cool looking scooter.
Niceee. Yea, I know the westside bike lane be super smooth.. that a long ride and it look like that pro did good on tour journeys.. think I might have to pull the trigger on this one.. the light doesn't matter to me as much, maybe just the head and brake lights. And like you said if I want bottom lights I just buy some aftermarket ones and tape them on or something. Lol.. but thanks for the feedback..

Peter Vilhelmsson fantastic. Had it 17 days and have clocked up 447km. As soon as it’s recharged I just want to go for another blast. Serious fun and the brakes match the acceleration so weirdly it feels safer than my pretty slow poorly braking Ninebot es4.

I needed a scooter for *city use* , trusted a review of the *WideWheel* that was as so positive I bought it. Afterwards, I felt like an idiot. This thing sucks for three reasons: 1. *Rock hard tires & shocks that don't* : i.e. bumps at speed (> 10 mph) will knock your molars loose. like riding on metal with "shocks" don't. this is actually dangerous. 2. *Psychotic throttle* : i.e. press, and press, and press - nothing then, at some point the throttle leaps you forward - not at all graduated & difficult to control 3. *Slow as f@ck* : if you need to cross a street before the light turns, go uphill, pass an electric wheel chair forget. after the initial lurch, 18 mph with a good 10 mph breeze at your back. I was so frustrated I returned it and got a DualTron that is awesome. You know when you get out of a bad relationship that you didn't know was bad till you found a good one. This was like that, except I knew it was bad.
thanks jasonsadventure. I'm researching a new scooter after mine died. thought these looked interesting, but not for me after your honest feedback. Thx
The Outstorm Maxx is basically the same scooter as the Maike KK4s, which the company has improved now and the current model is the Maike MK8, which can be had direct from Maike for far less than the Outstorm Maxx, so I cannot really recommend the latter.
I just picked up the Outstorm Maxx 25Ah. The instructions were terrible and it tells you nothing about the different P modes (mine was set to max regen which almost throws you over the handle bars when it kicks in). That being said now that I have fixed the regen back to minimum and have some ride time underneath my belt I highly recommend it. It is sturdy, it is very fast to the point I haven't dared take it to the max speed. I did put the street tires on it and recommend that to anyone that doesn't plan on doing a lot of off roading. With the street tires set on 3, turbo and dual drive it will lift the front tire off the ground if you gun it. As for the Maike it looks very similar and if it can do the same as the Outstorm I would have loved to save $1k.
Is it possible to upgrade the 2019 model with the new display/controller? I have the 2019 model and the LED display/controller is a constant source of frustration. Wish I had waited 6 months and purchased this one instead.
Can you do a Nanrobot Lightning vs Mercane WW vs Hero X8 vs Apollo Ghost? Can't seem to find many Nanrobot Lightning comparisons outside of to its D6+ sibling.
Thanks for the review Micah! This scooter looks cool and fun but seems to lack a few things i like about the IMAX, namely adjustable (telescoping) handlebar. One size does not fit all. Also the folding mechanism, while not demonstrated in this video looks to be less fluid than other folders. Could you expand on that?
@@xiuxiu1108 Really depends on a scooter and terrain. Speedway 5 goes even up to 70km/h and it is super stable and gripy on the road, besides having such a top speed it does not meet you have to fly this speed all the time. Of course, full face helmet and gloves always.
TheChazas On the display you can choose which mode you want . For normal cruise on Eco mode. And for fast speed up to 42km/h you select on the display mode to Power. When I ride it on power mode. I feel a speed of 45 km/h. On a good long concrete street.
i just got the cle version. although every review ive watched on this scooter has been accurate none mention some important things about this scooter. 1: its freaking huge and bulky. its like a tank or the suv of scooters. at 56lbs this beast is not commuter friendly in the sense that its just too dam big and heavy its awful to try and carry this on the train or bus you will piss someone off including yourself. 2: you can tell the people who made this had no clue what they were doing. for every good thing something contradicts it. the wide wheels are pointless and are just terrible they hinder the power of this scooter. the wheels have zero traction i mean zero. anything and everything makes the wheels lose grip and you feel like you one wrong move from falling. things like the painted street lines or uneven surfaces make the wheels skip and stutter. it functions in the rain but again slippery. i dont understand why they couldnt give the wheels deeper tread for grip and instead gave it what amounts to extremely worn out tires. its dangerous considering the speed of this thing. 3: this scooter is a rocket it simply wants to take off in a straight line. theres no middle ground its fast or slow period. the speed with those awful tires is an accident waiting to happen. the kickstand is a skinny terrible thing that can barely hold the scooter. the hand grips are terrible they hurt your hands and the handlebars are too skinny for big hands. if you forget how fast this scooter is and press the throttle without a good grip on the handlebars you will fall off real bad. the brakes on the handlebars are too big and far off its awkward and difficult to hold the bar and keep some fingers on the breaks theres basically no bell the one it comes with is pathetic and useless. i swear they made this thing so you can kill yourself. its power and speed is the only good thing. honestly consider far better options for your commute.
wow, well thought out review, if all that is true, would make me think twice about getting one now. I was hoping to get some safer than a 500W skateboard I was trying, to scary.
Do the motors have brakes in them too? If so, are they activated by brake levers or just releasing throttle? Comparing to an electric skateboard which have electronic braking from the motors when you push a lever on the remote.
Do you think I just comment for the sake of saying something! I have a health condition which made me look into getting a scooter, to save me walking. I looked into it and saw the crazy rule about scooters.
Hello I love your channel Your the reason I got a Mercane Pro last year I want to get another scooter (so my son can ride with me - he has a razor) I've tried the Mercane 2020 and I do agree it's a much better scooter than the original (fork, display and softer tires) but the Zero 9 scooter got my attention. It is much more confortable then the Mercane. Only downside the power. Price is comparable between both. Can I have your opinion Mercane Pro 2020 vs Zero 9? Thank you and keep up the great work =)
My impression is that the ZERO-9 is lighter, more confortable (inflated tires and wide deck) and more maniable (slim wheels) Mercane has more power Is it better to get a ZERO-9 or get the latest Mercane 2020? (Keep in mind I already have a Mercane 2018 dual Pro) Thx for your input =)
@@hcildwold1751 yes the Mercane has dual motor where as the ZERO-9 has one. That's why the ZERO-9 is lighter than the Mercane (it think it's a 5kg difference) 2020 Mercane is heavier than previous model I don't mind a little weight if it makes the product sturdy I am genuinely scared of my previous Mercane when I go above 20mph (not at first when it was sturdy and new, but at the end of the season it became flimsy, that's around 4 months of uses) I really hope the ZERO-9 is better build to maintain it's sturdyness =/ That's a big problem with reviews, there is no long term test..
Actually looks decent... $1200 ain't bad for a scooter with a top speed of 25 mph, and about a 20-30 mile range. Wonder what the weight limit is for something like this?
it's listed as 220 lb / 100 kg weight limit, but I've seen it move FAST with guys above that weight. I think the suspension doesn't perform as nicely above 220 lb though since its already pre-loaded.
Good review, I'm seeing a Glarewheel ES-S11Pro for a good price, it's either a rebranded one of these with a few changes or a knock off. Would anyone know which is it? If it's rebranded I'd consider it, but I don't want to buy a cheap knock off. Googling's turning up nothing for it so I'm kind of assuming it's a weird knock off.
Anyone experience an insanely low duration of brake pads, especially on the front brake, with the Widewheel Pro 2020 ? It seems like they (the "official replacement parts" on AliExpress) barely last more than 100km before you need to replace them, implying multiple re-adjustement with an Allen key every 10km.
I wish it had a seat and an aka it’s me height hand grip. Did you say top speed of 26 MPH ? Do they offer a cellphone holder and basket or bad attachment for personal items and groceries ?
So my daughter is looking for a scooter to go about 2 miles to a PATH station, then taking the train into Manhattan, then about another 3 miles to work. Do you think this scooter might be to heavy for her to fold and carry on the train? She is in shape...but not sure what carrying 50 lb scooter on a moving train would be like. Other scooters seem underpowered. Thanks
In my opinion, this scooters seems too powerful for 5 mile commute, or 10 mile total commute. There are other options that would be better . I’d say stick to a scooter that weight around 30 if your daughter is gonna use public transportation
Awesome lookin scooter 🛴 👍😁❤ I have that $1200 right now, but I want something a little faster than 25 MPR, Like 40, 50 or maybe even 60 MPH would be awesome
Great the wheels or wide that’s good, but you know what is not wide the platform what’s the point of having wide wheels for stability and comfort if you don’t have a platform that follows for stability and comfort for which you can put your feet???
You really want hydraulic brakes ? There's a little something called inertia involved here and anyone who's rode one of these things daily will know stopping quickly can be painful, especially for knees and elbows...!
... THANK you for getting that info in here. 🙏 It always disappoints me when such a critical spec is left outta these reviews. Think about it: These weight capacities are a make-or-‘break’ spec, considering the +/- average adult weight; if you’re over 6’1 & carrying a little table muscle, you’re right on the LINE of whether the thing’ll even HOLD you! Because e-scoots all tend to span right between these weight margins, INCLUDING the weight capacity SHOULD be noted right behind range, speed, & PRICE. I bought the Qiewa QPower specifically because of its carry capacity, as a for-instance. ✌️
While checking it out on the sellers site, I was told it has regen braking in the chat window. But I see nothing regarding regen braking in the description or any reviews. What is the truth?
Bill Richards I don’t own the wide wheel but I do own the horizon. it is a cheaper scooter sold by the same retailer, and it has regenerative braking so I would assume that the wide wheel does also.
Michael Caz I can’t vouch for the wide wheel pro but I have heard they fixed the issues. I do own the horizon, which is also sold by the same company, and it is incredible. Very well-built. I just feel like this is twice the power of the scooter I currently own and would be a great upgrade if you’re looking for something more powerful.
@@montelinm I'm looking for: Ride Quality = Shocks, Riding Distance, Lite & Portable & "No Stem Wobble" - those are The Big 4 - for me. Doing tons of research.
Michael Caz Well then yeah if that’s what you’re looking for then the wide wheel pro probably would not be for you. I think if you’re looking for something that has a range of over 25-30 miles you should look into the Emove cruiser. I think it should be perfect for what you are looking for. Or maybe the Zero 9 or Zero 10. Apollo makes some good scooters also.
Michael Caz But if you need something under 40 to 50 pounds then those might not be great options. However Sometimes it’s a good idea to go with a bit heavier scooter like the ones I mentioned which are in the 40 to 50 pound range so that you get better performance than the lighter scooters. You’ll end up wanting more performance in the long run. Trust me. You could also consider the horizon if you are under 220 pounds and would be satisfied with a 25 to 30 mile range and a top speed of 22 to 24 miles per hour. It’s at the low-end of 42 pounds but it performs well.
Hey Electrek. Your website seems to be broken. Comments and some elements aren't loading for me whether it's Firefox or Edge. This started this week for me.
I've seen these advertised with slightly different wording, still has "Mercane" and widewheel etc but with the edition of "CLE" near the rear fender....does anyone know if theses are real or clones? Maybe just slightly different for other countries?
James Read I got mine from fluidfreeride online shop it’s legit. I got the Wide wheel Pro. Keyless version On this upgrade version they changed the logo on the board to better looking fonts. It’s almost a month since I have been using it and no problems it’s robust and solid. The breaks are spot on I speed up and never a problem. And people always said wow that’s a cool looking scooter.
This checks every box and is one of the most polished looking designs... But, those wheels are purely a gimmick and have zero real world advantages. The pneumatic tire was one of the greatest inventions for transportation. The comfort and more importantly traction is vastly improved. It just seems like a wasted opportunity. Good luck to you riding in any wet conditions. Turning in the wet would be extremely risky and rules it out for many. There's a reason why there are no 2 wheeled vehicles with that tire shape, they have to lean to turn! My cheap, no name X7 would take a turn much faster despite being gutless. Looks really cool though.

Lawrance Christopher this scooter it’s a trill to ride so much fun. I don’t ride my bike anymore it’s boring.
I needed a scooter for *city use* , trusted a review of the *WideWheel* that was as so positive I bought it. Afterwards, I felt like an idiot. This thing sucks for three reasons:
1. *Rock hard tires & shocks that don't* : i.e. bumps at speed (> 10 mph) will knock your molars loose. like riding on metal with "shocks" don't. this is actually dangerous.
2. *Psychotic throttle* : i.e. press, and press, and press - nothing then, at some point the throttle leaps you forward - not at all graduated & difficult to control
WOW ... scathing review BUT (probably) "truth bee told"
jasonsadventure Thanks. Useful
@@kamalakrsna Yeah, I felt a little scathed after buying that wide-wheel. LOL.
Thank you. Better review than this fool's biased video.
thanks jasonsadventure. I'm researching a new scooter after mine died. thought these looked interesting, but not for me after your honest feedback. Thx
Pls review the Outstorm Maxx. I really want one but i cant afford to buy and then be dissapointed
Pls like so he'll see this
The Outstorm Maxx is basically the same scooter as the Maike KK4s, which the company has improved now and the current model is the Maike MK8, which can be had direct from Maike for far less than the Outstorm Maxx, so I cannot really recommend the latter.
Great useful review, thanks for posting.
When I use my manual bike to get around town, my knees at the end of the day get so sore. This maybe the next step for me for my knees.
Your seat is too low on your bike
I love bikes, but scooters are a game changer. All of them are great just get one. I have a few in all price range and they are all a blast.
Damn to heavy for it
Telescopic handlebars? Hmmm 😳 For a 55 lb machine, that will weaken it!
Is does not seem to go more than 40km/h even though it packs enough power for at least 50km/h.
Do you really want to go 50 km/h on something this small? I'd be comfortable going 50 on an e-bike but on a scooter?
Electric scooters can only be used on private land in the uk! What’s the point in that?
Erdishzane says who?? They are classed the same as bicycles
Rodrigo- Its the law in the UK the UK says so.
BUT - they are currently looking at the law to consider legalisation.
Do you think I just comment for the sake of saying something! I have a health condition which made me look into getting a scooter, to save me walking. I looked into it and saw the crazy rule about scooters.
By the looks of it, you do comment just for the sake of it. Get your facts right before making yourself look like a fool 🙄
Hello
I love your channel
Your the reason I got a Mercane Pro last year
I want to get another scooter (so my son can ride with me - he has a razor)
I've tried the Mercane 2020 and I do agree it's a much better scooter than the original (fork, display and softer tires) but the Zero 9 scooter got my attention.
It is much more confortable then the Mercane. Only downside the power. Price is comparable between both.
Can I have your opinion Mercane Pro 2020 vs Zero 9?
Thank you and keep up the great work =)
Zero 9? More speed and more range lol
My impression is that the ZERO-9 is lighter, more confortable (inflated tires and wide deck) and more maniable (slim wheels)
Mercane has more power
Is it better to get a ZERO-9 or get the latest Mercane 2020? (Keep in mind I already have a Mercane 2018 dual Pro)
Thx for your input =)
@@bacbaohuy Are you sure it has more power? If I look at the specs, looks like the zero 9 has it all.
@@hcildwold1751 yes the Mercane has dual motor where as the ZERO-9 has one.
That's why the ZERO-9 is lighter than the Mercane (it think it's a 5kg difference)
2020 Mercane is heavier than previous model
I don't mind a little weight if it makes the product sturdy
I am genuinely scared of my previous Mercane when I go above 20mph (not at first when it was sturdy and new, but at the end of the season it became flimsy, that's around 4 months of uses)
I really hope the ZERO-9 is better build to maintain it's sturdyness =/
That's a big problem with reviews, there is no long term test..
test drove.. pretty good except the wide wheels make it not agile, hard to lean.. difficult nipping around people etc.. bit of a shame
I just wish the cables were more hidden/out of the way
Hope I can buy this awesome scooter.
Ffs...its 1300.
@@robspear03 actually it's 1299.00
Good and honest review. Drive safe
Put some snow chains on it and ride it in the snow 😂
Good review. How do you hold this when folded? ...say going up flights of stairs
Im most definitely getting one!!
Have to say the 2019 version was amazing so the pro only gets better.
I opted for the Apollo explore. 31mph 😈
28km maximum range
Good review, I'm seeing a Glarewheel ES-S11Pro for a good price, it's either a rebranded one of these with a few changes or a knock off. Would anyone know which is it? If it's rebranded I'd consider it, but I don't want to buy a cheap knock off. Googling's turning up nothing for it so I'm kind of assuming it's a weird knock off.
Is it possible to disable a motor on the dual version?
Nope
would appreciate a review on the Splach Turbo now...thanks
Great price for what you get
I was so ready to buy this scooter but I learned the IP rating is only IP54, I really don't understand why they don't make outdoor vehicles waterproof
Unfortunately the deck is too narrow, not comfortable for long rides
Right
I would like to use this technology in wheelchair users.
You mean a scootmobile
Hopefully you're not dead by now. 60mph on a scooter is insane lol you don't need any more than 40
It's very nice looking especially the wheels!!!!!
I smashed that like button so hard I almost broke my phones screen 👍
SLAYER GAMING cap
Stop the cap
Will you ever do electric unicycle reviews?
Alliexpress this. Will be a lot cheaper for most regions /below 1000$ with shipping. Its still a chineese brand
I love to see in personal this widewheel pro and im short guy if could fit me that because i think thats tall... im 5’4 ft... any advice? T.y
kelly paet I’m 5 3 you’re fine
i'm 5'10 and the bars go up to the bottom of my ribs. My gf is 5'4 and she can ride it perfectly fine
Micah, please review the Swagtron Swagger 5 scooter !!!
For 1.2K, ithink this scooter is a steal. No other dual motor scooter is within this price range.
Its 1.3k.
Not a steal, regardless.
How do you lock it securely to anything?
Your cable lock can pass through and under the right rear suspension arm and then lock to anything.
Great the wheels or wide that’s good, but you know what is not wide the platform what’s the point of having wide wheels for stability and comfort if you don’t have a platform that follows for stability and comfort for which you can put your feet???
That twisting knob folding mechanism was a pain in the butt to use before. It's looks like it has not been improved or updated. Disappointing.
You really want hydraulic brakes ? There's a little something called inertia involved here and anyone who's rode one of these things daily will know stopping quickly can be painful, especially for knees and elbows...!
I have an older EcoRico. Is distance based on a flat run?
Wide platform also please
Is it like riding a bike? Do you need balance like you need to ride a bike?
hey im in need of a board the area where you stand on o had it rated over by a car and can't get that necessary part
can you help me
were you riding in KPH? Cause that would be a hell of a deal if you were cruising at 37 MPH
Haha oh yes, the speedo was in km/h. You'll need a different scooter to hit 37 mph!
You forgot to mention the scooter's capacity? OK, I see it down below. 220lbs/100 kg.
I feel bad for the people with the 2019 model. Major ReCall on 2 Serious issues??? - I like this ( thinking about buying ) but Can I Trust them?
@@montelinm Thanks for the great information & input. Appreciate it.
Mine is arriving tomorrow!!!
@Electrek.co
This or the EVOLV Tour 2.0?
How can motor be 750 watts when you later say 1000, is battery only 750 watts?
Im a wolf king kinda ryder, but this is a beautiful sleek scooter.
I like it. Wonder if it's water proof
Ip54...
Wonder if I can get this in Ireland?
Illegal
Craig Roberts electric scooters London have them for £899 not bad price for the pro
Yes, try Alibaba or AliExpress. I got mine from there
Hey Electrek. Your website seems to be broken. Comments and some elements aren't loading for me whether it's Firefox or Edge. This started this week for me.
Just buy my first scooter (caroma brand) now I want this one already.
How long would those ''tyres'' last ?
Hey Micah, how about a review of the new Mercane MX60. It looks like a quality built scooter and should be a real comfortable ride.
Nice review..
Where did you shoot this video?
How can i unlock to 42 kmph? Come it with that power or do i need to unlock it?
I love my WWP🛴 its definitely fast!!!
Just ordered. Do you still love yours?
Is it fast charging?
I'm having trouble finding this company's headquarters? Does anyone know if this is Chinese, American, Canadian, etc.?
4:32 can. they dont do charity.usually its frame that cost 1000. motors wheels and controller can get china
Tires are too wide, how do you lean?
The tires are rounded.
@@AvocadoAtrocity still, can't lean as it is squared.
Personally I'm a big fan of cruise control.
Nice but I clicked out at 50 plus pounds. Sigh. Lightweight is the key for me. Just saying. Otherwise very nice. Like the puncture proof tires!
I have a 2021 Emove Cruiser
Is it available in UK and legal!??
Is it water resistant?
Amazing built
Hi , it’s a wonderful review of a wonderful scooter, I bought one almond three months back but ridden only once, and then I needed to buy one xiomi as well, the reason is that I live in flat on third floor, and it was too heavy,
Thanks for your videos
