    I smiled the video. I truly enjoy watching Chuck's skill, self-analysis and his results. Bravo to Weaver for sponsoring this video. It makes me want to go out of my way to buy my supplies and tools from Weaver more. THANK YOU, ALL!

    Chuck, I remember the first time you made that design and you said you would really need to find a place to use it. Congratulations, you finally found the perfect place for it. It was beautiful then and beautiful now. Yes the silver spot really made it pop. Great project. I think it should have been larger. Best regards, Richard

    Very nice video Chuck, always a great energy. One question, why flat chisels, and not diamond? I though flats where for lacing. Thanks

    Back in 1992 i looked at a regular sized motorcycle saddle bag pattern and de sized it to make saddle bag key ring. I had i beam shaped base for motorcycke type n the c shape base for horse type keyrings.

    Hello! I always see your videos on RUclips! I have a question for you. I am making a wet molded leather sheath for mi knife, and I am following the tutorial in your videos. But I also want to add a pattern design. Should I make the pattern before the wet molding? I am afraid that the molding will ruin the pattern. Thank you!

    The only fault in this design, is I'd use brass or copper rivets and burrs, for a permanent mounting of bag to yoke...Chicago screws seem too modern for a piece like this. They also can get loose, even when glued....

    i love you chuck, but saying "going up to the 3rd punch" on the rotary tool doesnt help those of us without a rotary and having single punches. ❤

    • @donlapham1265
      @donlapham1265 Месяц назад

      That’s about 3/16 since the second punch on a rotary is 1/8.

      lol my cheap 5$ lifetime warranty revolving hole punch from menards has its third punch shatter on me.. broken again😩😅 i keep getting new ones for free but sometimes you cant use one of the punches because they are so bad from the factory.. its probably time i upgrade at weaver

    We need placement holes for the Chicago screws on the shoulder piece in the digital pics, also the gussets come up about an inch short. And I counted holes. 22 inches isn't right. Messed up my last bits of 4/5 ounce leather. Normally your patterns are fairly spot on, but dang.

    • @WeaverLeatherSupply
      @WeaverLeatherSupply  Месяц назад +1

      We checked with Chuck and both the practice piece and the bags made in the video are 22" long on the gusset so we apologize that this did not work out for you. You can always cut the gusset a little bit longer and then adjust once you've marked your stich holes. This will ensure the perfect fit.

      @@WeaverLeatherSupply y new ones cut at 22.75 inches worked out perfectly. Could be the difference between herma oak and the crap I have to use, lol.

      @bobm8128 15 дней назад +1

      My 22” gusset came up short as well, guess I’ll have to cut a couple of new ones a bit longer. I just took a soft tape measure around the front pocket and came up with 22.75 as well. I may go with 23 then cut off what I don’t need. Thanks for posting, now I know I’m not totally crazy…..

    This deep dyeing is waste of dye, don't understand why the inside have to be dyed.
