These dudes really are in their own league, no other band could replicate the sound they have. Especially this track. I forgot about it and it came up in my shuffle so I had to listen to it 70x in a row haha
This song was in my head when I woke up today. I am taking notes of such songs for the past couple years that plays in my head when I wake up. If I did not forget to take a note before, this is the first SOAD song that makes into the list. When this album came out, I was at high school, we were listening SOAD everyday and everywhere and already was a big fan. We didn't have English to undertand lyrics but we were memorizing some parts and all the melodies stuck with us. It was good old days we all wanted to pass quickly but now we all wished to live again. I still don't know what is the most of lyrics, I am also bad at extracting and understanding lyrics by listening when it is sang in a music form but even if I don't understand, I understand it is a beautiful song and melody which I can't come across nowadays; it must be like one in a million to listen something good if you are lucky.
THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO THIS IS SONG IS THEIRS! 💔 THEY WENT OUT TO HOLLYWOOD WITH STARS IN THIER EYES ONLY TO FIND OUT IT'S NOTHING LIKE THEY THOUGHT IT WAS.... THEY GET USED UP ANS THROWN AWAY AND FORGOTTEN ABOUT. 💔😭
If only we knew how deep this hell hole goes. When we defy conformity, fight complacency, exercise all abilities, question and think, freedom retains meaning. Consumption causes depression, creation redeems reason.
“They look at you in disgusting ways” is the most chilling line in this song to me, simply because of all of the revelations that have come out of Hollywood in the past few years. It’s disturbing that SOAD were putting the sickness and depravity of Hollywood on blast all of the way back in the mid-2000’s, but it still took the better part of two decades for any of the rot and truth to come out.
Most humans look at you now in disgusting ways. Hollywood is the earth and the beast system in place right now. We’re not meant to live like a Venn diagram. We’re meant to have ego boundaries. They are necessary for the preservation of the unique character of all relationships on this earth - romantic, filial, between parents and children, friends, cousins, acquaintances, colleagues, your boss at work/employer - employee. If you have that evil eye in your head you’re who they’re talking about. Please start calling spades spades earth if you would want to be the Ace of Spades. I prefer Alpha to Omega personally. And Alpha is returning who is Jesus Christ and His government which will be established on the New Earth and no unclean thing will make it there. The worlds idea of what Alpha is is a pale imitation and on borrowed time, on quicksand and built on vanity and effeminate values. Omega is lawlessness and lunacy and it’s deplorable beyond measure..
When u discovered that SOAD its not just explosions songs and anti ideologic lyrics, this song is a punch over the stomach, poetic and sad at same time.

Got a vet appointment tomorrow to make sure she's ok but my anxiety is high. Thank you for asking. 🙂
Hope ur doing good Catherine.
@@TheChoker117 I am actually. Thanks for the mention. I hope you have an awesome day.
I've been on a thought depression some years ago, for 4 years, that was devastating for me for my parents and for those few friends Who remained, but now i'm stronger and i understand better other people and their struggling, so now i thanks depression for that.. Strange 🤣
Hope you're good Catherine, better times will come.
As someone who recently just had to leave Los Angeles after things not going right this song leaves a lump in my throat. Really haunts me.
4:37 the harmonizing and serj’s vocals are so damn good
I actually never really paid attention to his harmonies I noticed how awesome they are on this last listen. So good the entire song.
@@brianhannonis the best part of the song
@@thekn0wing Yeah man I think he hits a harmony that’s a minor 2nd during the verses and somehow that’s like the most beautiful moment. It’s actually so amazing. I was trying to work out doing a cover of this song but so much is missing without a harmony.
Underrated as hell.
Today i realised... This song will be one of those wich i will listen to the end of my life. It's special.
It makes me think about my life, how fst time flies, and that i need to focus on what is really important to not waste a single day on this planet.
Holliwood is the world, always trying to make us believe in false gods and false beauty, killing our freedom with socials and media.
Katt Williams blew the lid off of alot of big names. This song is so relevant these days
Reminiscences of a childhood built for a man to live. Growing up fast is hard, but the negatives are outweighed by the knowledge you gain.
This is how you end an album
With a heartfelt message and beautiful melody to reflect on
This song will have a massive revival soon.
The fuck with all the shit I am thinking about it already. As I am. Drummer and a vocalist ...looking for back voice and guitar... This will never die in the 2000 s

Miss you everday Sawyer West. This album describes your life and loss of sanity all too well.
You were always one of the best of us. I know you are still shining bright in the afterlife.

18 years later and this song still hits... Im so glad viscious ppl r being taken down
It is insane how this song tells us so many things we didn't really understand back then and now with all the things that are coming make more sense than they ever did...
You are so right 👍

hear me out i think that they’re gonna keep uploading all of their old songs (maybe just their last 2 albums mezmerize and hypnotize) and then boom they’re gonna drop the hammer with a new song on one day and then a week later another song and another and so on until it’s a full album
@@bigpenisparker9930 I doubt that
I’ll never forget the days.. Rock Band was a smash game. I walked into Best Buy to have a chance to play it... a kid already their challenged me to play ‘Chop Suey.’ I listened to every SOAD album that night. My all time favorite band/artist ever.
Serj is the singer for System. The second that sentence becomes challenged or open to interpretation is the answer as to why there is no more System...
It's been almost 20 years, I first time heard this song, and now I know they were right about passing the message about filthy Hollywood. This song will stay with me forever
Still
Serj's voice is honestly hypnotic!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Daron is the lead singer in this song
This song is perfect for the Hollywood Strike
I still don't know what is the most of lyrics, I am also bad at extracting and understanding lyrics by listening when it is sang in a music form but even if I don't understand, I understand it is a beautiful song and melody which I can't come across nowadays; it must be like one in a million to listen something good if you are lucky.
there’s already 1 dislike this classic is the best imo

This song and Spiders are something special to me...can't explain.
everything about this song is so painfully good
THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO THIS IS SONG IS THEIRS!
🎵🔥🎸"You should've never trusted Hollywood"🎸🔥🎶
Daron is underrated , would be vocalist in several bands no lies
This song needs way more views than it has. So much truth in 5 minutes.
@@MarianMurphy-rz8ej What the actual f*ck are you talking about?

I watched Quiet on Set and this was literally the only thing I could think of
One of their best songs they've written. Glad I'm listening to it again
Work of absolute genius
Anyone else love the background vocals at 4:36?

YES
Like a closing track, this song is perfect
When u discovered that SOAD its not just explosions songs and anti ideologic lyrics, this song is a punch over the stomach, poetic and sad at same time.
