Hi! i just wanna ask what you use for wiping off the excess color on the skin so effectively is it the paper towel with a lil bit of the green soap+water solution? Thanks... Great content as always btw
Hey I have a tattoo on my wrist and the black line work is blown out in a spot. Do you think I could make enough passes on the side with blue to go over and cover the black
Same I’m tattooing myself currently doing lining and starting to working with mags and color. Every time I’m about to try something new or need a “2nd opinion” I come to the channel. With so much artists out there putting out content its nice that my dude walks you through and reminds you it comes back to having fun and putting something beautiful out there.
My mentor recommended your videos to me. I'm so glad he did! I love how you go through and explain your videos in depth, and I love how encouraging you are! Keep on rocking it out my dude! Much love 🤘🤘
No problem Martinez glad the videos help you and I believe learning to tattoo is all about the little details. Thanks again for watching appreciate support!🤘🤘
I've been learning to tattoo for a few months now. I can't practice all week long, but I do when I can. I've watched a lot of videos on RUclips and I learned a lot from it, but like you said with adjusting your needle: find something that suits you. This is your channel for me. Like I said, I learned a lot from other videos, but your videos are the best for me. Good and easy to remember, clear information, and just fun to watch. I now I'm going to learn much more now I've discovered your channel. So thanks for your vids and thanks for (hopefully 😄) making me a better artist!
I'm currently 15 atm and I decided to be a tattoo artist so I'm learning how to do it ready for when I'm 18 and get the job! These videos are amazing and very helpful ❤
Bro im 13 years in, on and off, and now im all in, still driving coaches full time and tattooing clients again at least 3 nights a week, info like this was not available back in early mid 2000s when i taught myself, im not perfect but seem to be better at blackwork. Thanks for making this its all great
You’re absolutely right this information was not around in the mid 2000s cause I was looking as well! But didn’t really find much I guess at that time if you wanted to learn you kind a need to buy books. Glad to hear you’re able to tattoo three nights a week, keep the dream alive and some money in the pocket!!🤘🤘🤘
Funny thing is that after watching the first video, I started to see a rainbow of colors with this piece and the idea about mixing the colors for the ideal tone came to mind, so when you spoke on the mixing in the tube it really shocked me. I am a rookie that only tatted myself and i did that but did not know it was actually a thing. Your videos never let me down G.O.A.T.
I'm 17 and I plan on apprenticing when I go across the country for college, since I plan to live there too, and honestly, your videos have helped me so much! I didn't even know how shading was possible until I saw your videos :) thanks man
Great to hear you have goals and ambitions!! And i'm happy the vids are helping you out along the way. I wish you the best of luck as you start/continue down this journey!! Keep Rocking!! 🤘🤘
Really nice to find someone who is actually producing helpful, useful content. I've had my kit for a while and after some initial practice felt a bit dejected because I was making progress but couldn't work out where I was going wrong sometimes. So many tatoo artists online are keen to make it a "dark art" and reluctant to answer any questions. I'm unable to work at the moment due to another lockdown in the UK, and you've inspired me to dig out my kit again and give it another go while I have the time. Thank you :)
As a beginner I have learnt something from your videos, I was struggling with shading and after watching this video and going away and practicing your technique I have completely fixed the problem I was having thankyou so much
Damn Luke that's music to my ears man!👍 Glad to hear you where able to fix the problems you where having. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. And thanks for sharing that with me I appreciate it.🤘
Out of all the tattoo how to vids. I've seen. Yours have been the most helpful. You explain what your doing any why your doing it . As soon as I watched some of your vids. My work began to transform. People around me have noticed. Quality of finished tat has and keeps getting better.. thank you. I am a beginner and got to get my gray scale up to a higher level. Love the vids Thank you
Wow that is freaking awesome to hear the quality of your work has improved and others noticed it!!!👍👍 Good work Miller keep at it!! And I appreciate you watching and support the channel 🤘🤘👊👊🤘🤘
Your videos are extremely helpful your the only person I’ve been able to watch online that is helpful. I plan on going to school for this and getting my tattooing license and running my own business eventually. I have no experience currently and will soon start my apprenticeship I’m super excited and nervous but watching u helps a lot.!! Thank you so much. 😁
That’s awesome Emma great to hear you have goals for yourself. Just keep working hard be patient and overtime those girls may come to Be!👍 congrats on the apprenticeship that you’re starting soon, Work hard take care of your mentor and he should take care of you!! Keep rocking Emma you got this!!🤘🤘
I’m so glad I found your channel it’s helping me get an idea of how to practice things that I’ve wanted to practice but didn’t want to develop bad habits so I’m glad I’m learning how to do it the right way before I practice and actually put ink to skin I’ve had a lot of people asking me to do color on them but I wasn’t comfortable with doing it not knowing a proper technique thank you
I agree with you on that one. I usually add a little mixing solution about a 2 drops to each cap depending on cap size that is. And I also find that it helps smooth the ink out a bit and allow it to better pack into the skin as well!! I thought it was just me so thank you for sharing my friend and Keep ROCKING brother!! 🤘🤘
I have a couple tattoo artist friends and I've decided to join them mostly for my own enjoyment. Thanks for putting well put together videos. Its a pleasure to watch
Hi.I'm from Hungary. Thanks for the help. I learn from your videos how to tattoo😊Finally I found a tattoo artist who is very down to the earth guy and humble.😊
You are a natural teacher and I get a lot from your tutorials so I will start with a thank you for what you do. That being said I would like to know about how long each session took (outline & then color). Just to compare & see if I am on point with someone of your caliber or if I am the super slow poke I think that I am... A tattoo this size would take me HOURS.
THANK YOU! I've been afraid to use colour in every medium since I was a kid but this has helped me feel like it's a thing I'm gonna be able to learn. Thank you so much for the chill/detailed explanations.
After being outta the game myself for over 8 years, things are so much easier to learn and re-pickup the hobby! Thanks for being REAL and not some looser trying to be cool by making a very bad or even harmful video about tatooing. This video was very informative and take it from me this type of easy to find education was very sparse when I was in the game. Thank you for taking the time, I apreciate the wise knowledge... Master Art-Something! LOL.
Your right this info was not out there even 5 years ago. I guess thats why im here sharing what I know cause at one time there wasnt a lot of info on the internet regarding tattooing.
Hey bro thx for answering my questions. Got another one for you. When your shading or colouring how do you know your not going over the black outlines cause the shading is kinda blobby ? Until you wipe it. What say you ? Lol
@Mark Youkhanna You will go over the black outlines with your color. Your black should be solid in the skin. Triple black or Zuper black is really good.
Fuck... I'm just starting out, bought all my shit and got my stencils on fake skin and the way you talk and move just inspires me to go slow and fast at the same time. You're a good teacher. I'm definitely subscribed to you playa
I’ve been learning color on my own with very little advice other than “same techniques as b & g.” Which is very true but this video helped confirm a lot of what I’ve been doing.
Dude u madee me save 2000$ on tattoo lessons in Quebec, Canada .. All I need is to keep practicing with all the tools I have now thanks to you ... I liked and watched all your videos ans going to do so again at least 3 times ..thanks your the best and keep doing good videos ... Oh and can you please tell me what is a&d vitamin and whats it for I kinda missed that part French is my main language :p
Wow Dominick that’s awesome to hear you save so much money and I’m happy to hear the videos have been able to help you out so much!!! 👍👍 Thank you soo much for the support man really appreciated!!🤘👍 A&E keeps the skin lubricated while working and allows the needles to glide along the skin a bit better.
Thank you so much for these videos. I recently got my own tattoo beginner's kit (from Wormhole products) and your lessons have been invaluable. I actually started today on my own skin and it wasn't nearly as hard as I'd imagined. As an artist, its exciting to explore this new medium.
I've had a tattoo course (back in 2013), and tried 2 different apprenticeships and I've never been taught nowhere near as much as u did in 12 minutes😔❤
WOW that is Awesome to hear the video could help so much. But also very sad that 2 different apprenticeships couldnt share as much as this video did. Keep your head up and Keep Rocking! 🤘🙏
Hey man, thanks to you I learned to degrade colors. I'm still learning and I need to practice more but I know I'll make it thanks to your videos. Can you make a video of how to achieve the Brush Strokes style? Please🙏
When he says be gentle, boy you better listen. I was working on a black out tat yesterday at a max of 3.8 volts and my arm is friggin ground beef right now. Luckily i was smart enough to stop before i did to much so id be able to fix it later.
One of the hardest things to do is understand just how gentle you need to be at times and when not to be as gentle. Its a process and it can be very difficult at times. Its for this reason I always say practice as much as you can on fruit and fake skin and then your own skin before hitting someone's skin. And remember your hand speed plays just as big a roll as your voltage. I'm happy to hear you stopped before things got bad👍. Keep practicing and stay motivated! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
You've been awesome man! I've done 3 tats after learning on fake skin and watching what you've been teaching and I'm astounded by my work. I'm not great but it definitely doesnt look like an idiot done it. Lol keep the videos coming for any new info. I feel like your setting a stepping stone for newcomers trying to learn and can't get an apprentice. I've struggled getting any at all but I ain't giving up. Love your vids dude!
Thanks! I am a beginner. Could you show some more detail about loading the ink up into the different ink cartridges? How much ink, how much to put into the cartridge, or just the needle tips? how often to dip into water, when should the machine off or on, and why does my ink seem to gum up in the cartridge? Haha thanks!
Great question Jill. I do have a video about that ruclips.net/video/vFcWAdcay4M/видео.html This video should help answer some of the questions you have. I hope this helps you out and thank you for watching and supporting the channel!! 🤘🤘
Love the videos. I'm just starting out as something to pass the time and not be bored. But I really enjoy it. Hope to be doing pieces like your one day.
I sincerely appreciate and love your videos, man! I'm just starting out and your tutorials are super helpful! I hope to see you on Ink Maset some day, real talk! Much love.
Thank you so much as well and I'm happy to hear your line-work is down pretty well because that is the foundation for tattooing in my opinion. Look forward to seeing your shading progress and again I'm happy to hear the video is helping you out. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! 🤘
Thank you very much for these videos. You answered damn near every question i have up to this point. Im sure ill have more as i practice what ive learned but thank your time i cant imagine how much this has helped
Thank you so much Heather I appreciate that.👍👍 I believe this video here should help answer your question. ruclips.net/video/vFcWAdcay4M/видео.html Thanks again for watching and supporting the channel !! 🤘🤘
This is really awesome putting all of your thoughts and techniques for tattooing ol n RUclips for people who wish to learn a new skill thank you you're doing a great job
Rare that I feel the need to comment on a video, but couldn't help myself for thanking you for such a instructive video. Really well done and your entertaining while ya do it, keep em coming bud !
Thanks Mattia I really appreciate that 👍 I will be uploading more videos weekly with tattoo content explaining and answering as many topics and questions that I had when I was starting out. As time goes on I will start working on more advanced videos for those seeking more. Thanks Mattia for watching and supporting the channel 🤘
Thank you for these videos, helped me alot for me. I still strugle with lines and shadings but your videos really helped me and now i got more sense how to make lines easier. I am planning to start full sleeve project to myself as practice but i still wondering is it a good idea 😅 I started tattooing with stick and poke technique about 6 months ago.
Maybe a stupid question but what about when u switch from pink to yellow? Do u use a different needle and tube? I've seen people run the machine in a cup of water before changing colors but I feel like that's not good. I have no idea
Ended up catching the Rona so now I have some free time to learn which I’ve been wanting for a while now and while watching your videos I think I’m ready to practice on my mom, she volunteered so it’s ok lol. Thanks man keep em coming!
Great to hear your taking something bad like getting Rona and turning it into an opportunity to learn tattooing. Always great when a parent or family member lets you practice on them, cause it makes it a little less stressful lol. Best of luck to you man and keep Rocking!! 🤘🤘
Dude you're hella chill thank you for you're time and patience much appreciated brother 🙏 I have a question Wich is better rotary machine or coils or magnetic machine or coil hybrids ? Lol
Well thank you for that 👍! It’s a journey that’s for sure just keep practicing and keep learning, I’m always trying to improve and that comes with time.
Hey, it is so relaxing watching you at tattooing ... 😊 You told that video is for beginners so I have some beginner questions: noticed effect ? I saw you do it like you want it 😆 but I think for thin straight lines for example 90 degree would be better or not??? ...and yes you did an amazing tat it looks at closeup much brighter and nicer... so beautiful....
Hi, I really like your videos’ could you please do a tutorial for keeping colours from bleeding into each other during tattooing. I struggle sometimes with colour contamination .
No I didn’t change the needles I just clean them in between colors. if you need some help, I have a video on my channel about how to clean your needles in between colors.🤘🤘🤘
No problem George happy the vids could help you out. And I will be getting into highlights in the next few weeks! 👍👍 And thanks for watching, appreciate the support!! 🤘🤘🤘
Great question Dane👍 . I don't get to concerned about the color ink hitting the lines. I try for the most part to just stay within the lines but hitting the lines isn't going to hurt anything. I hope this make sence and I hope to address that in a bit more detail in a latter video. Thanks for watching appreciate you supporting the channel! 🤘
your videos are so awesome !! thank you for being here and thank you for these awesome videos their well thought out and straight to the point I actually learned a lot .,, also the color you use is a MAZING I love bright colors I always see artist use dull colors it looks like the tattoos were already older. but it's crazy how ignorant a lot of artist are about tattooing. tattooing is an art lol do it with the safe percations and have fun. if you're an artist and looked up this video or stubbled upon if this your sign to ✨✨ JUST DO IT ✨✨
Thank you sooo much Paola! I’m really happy to hear your learning a lot from the videos. And yeah I agree tattooing is an art and as long as your clean and safe about things then it should be treated as an art form. And I just want to do my best to help those who are trying to learn how to put art on skin. I’m not the greatest artist I’m just willing to share my experiences with others. Thanks again for the support and wish you the best of luck in your tattoo journey. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Oh thats AWESOME to hear your 1st tattoo turned out solid!!! 👍👍👍 Congrats my friend!! Now keep at it cause you can only go up from here!! Rock on brother!! 🤘🤘
I should have a vid on the channel about that. I think its called everything you need to know about tattoo needles. Hopefully that video will answer more of your questions. 🤘
This is beautiful! Thanks for the vids! Excellent information. I do PMU and would like to get into body art so I’m practicing and learning for tiny tattoos. To start. Learned so much from you
Its good and easy to remember every advice that u give and i wana know what kind of cordless machine that u r using..pls let me know.looks cool and easy to use tnx in advance
Dude just wanted to say I love your videos and keep up the good work. Also I was going to ask were your shop is for future reference might go to you for a big piece in the future .
Is your voltage on your machine different for when you use color compared to black and grey? I absolutely love the colors of this tattoo and how simple, delicate but also a good looking piece it is
Hello! Excellent video- I’ve heard that if you were to wipe a color onto freshly worked skin you could potentially tint the area with an undesired color (for example if you wiped the green leaf color onto the pink-ish red flower you could end up with brownish petals instead) how important is it to be mindful of the order in which you apply the colors/wiping direction?
This was so helpful, thank you! I do have one question for you if you see this, should you go as deep into the skin when you're shading a tattoo vs. when you're lining a tattoo?
When you are wiping and that bit of ink goes over the rest of your work, do you have to worry about it staining or will it just wipe away when you are done? Great video by the way ^^
No wiping it won’t stain the work. You may want to be a little careful when wiping a darker color over top of your white, cause it may not always but may mix a little with your white or really light colors. I hope this answers your question Vince. 👍 thanks for watching man! Glad your enjoying the content. 🤘
Thank you Melanie I really appreciate that!! 👍👍 And thanks for watching and commenting hope you have a great day and thanks for supporting the channel Melanie!!🤘🤘
Hi there, great videos and instructions from someone in the industry. I’m a bit of a traditionalist and have always used a foot pedal, how do you find not stopping and starting the machine as often? Is it hard to get used to? I’ve always used rotary machines and have been using a pen for a few years but am about to make the jump to wireless. Cheers, keep up the good work.
Yeah man I love the going wireless. It is a bit weird at first since your always trying to find your peddle and even when you remember you dont have one any more you may still find your self pushing on the floor here and there lol. But once you get use to it, I must say its amazing. Now this is just my opinion im sure plenty of other artist may hate them but for me I love them. Thanks again angrybiker appreciate your support my friend and let me know how it goes when you try the wireless out. !! 🤘🤘🤘
Awesome video! Can you pass any color over black lines when color packing without affecting the black? For example, you got the lining/black work done then you’re going to add color. When packing the color I see you can go over the black lines. Is that with any color over black?
If you havent already I would say check out my video play list: how to tattoo tutorials. It may help answer your questions a bit better. THanks Ariana for watching and supporting the channel!!! 🤘🤘

Thanks you very much for giving me the opportunity to learn! ! You are a very good teacher! Real master !!!
My pleasure! And Keep Rocking!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@ArtSomething thank you so much!

Art-Something You have inspired me to get back into tattooing😁😁😁.
Keep teaching your videos are alot of help I learned so much from you
Thank you...
I do have a video about that ruclips.net/video/vFcWAdcay4M/видео.html
This video should help answer some of the questions you have. I hope this helps you out and thank you for watching and supporting the channel!! 🤘🤘
awesome insights for a beginner... when putting in the pink, looks like you went over the the outline.. does that effect it much?
No the color going over the black lines really doesnt show through much at all, so I wouldnt worry to much about that.
@@ArtSomething awesome... thanks for the reply it is so appreciated
Much love.
Thank you for this!!! I think I've gotten my linework down pretty well, but my shading was a little iffy, this helps soooo much!
Thank you so much as well and I'm happy to hear your line-work is down pretty well because that is the foundation for tattooing in my opinion. Look forward to seeing your shading progress and again I'm happy to hear the video is helping you out. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! 🤘
The beard is your tattoo power.
HAHAHA Sounds good to me lol!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Your videos are so awesome! I was wondering if you could show your technique on how you clean/rinse the color off your needles.
Thank you so much Heather I appreciate that.👍👍 I believe this video here should help answer your question. ruclips.net/video/vFcWAdcay4M/видео.html Thanks again for watching and supporting the channel !! 🤘🤘

You deserve that support 👍🏻🤘🏻
Great video. Not really into tattoos but I appreciate the art. You're pretty good.
Thank you I appreciate that. 🤘
Thank you for these videos, helped me alot for me. I still strugle with lines and shadings but your videos really helped me and now i got more sense how to make lines easier.
I am planning to start full sleeve project to myself as practice but i still wondering is it a good idea 😅
I started tattooing with stick and poke technique about 6 months ago.
Maybe a stupid question but what about when u switch from pink to yellow? Do u use a different needle and tube? I've seen people run the machine in a cup of water before changing colors but I feel like that's not good. I have no idea
Dude your shading is awesome would love to have you do my tat.
Thanks man and I’d love to do your Tattoo!🤘
Lol
You make this look so easy, hopefully when I start it’s the same for me!
Well thank you for that 👍! It’s a journey that’s for sure just keep practicing and keep learning, I’m always trying to improve and that comes with time.
Hey, it is so relaxing watching you at tattooing ... 😊
You told that video is for beginners so I have some beginner questions:
noticed
effect ? I saw you do it like you want it 😆 but I think for thin straight lines for example 90 degree would be better or not???
...and yes you did an amazing tat it looks at closeup much brighter and nicer... so beautiful....
Hi, I really like your videos’ could you please do a tutorial for keeping colours from bleeding into each other during tattooing. I struggle sometimes with colour contamination .
Great video!
Did you have to change the needles when u went from the pink and red shades to the yellow?
No I didn’t change the needles I just clean them in between colors. if you need some help, I have a video on my channel about how to clean your needles in between colors.🤘🤘🤘
Thanks your videos really explain alot and helps me out alot. I want to know more about adding white for highta more?
No problem George happy the vids could help you out. And I will be getting into highlights in the next few weeks!
👍👍 And thanks for watching, appreciate the support!! 🤘🤘🤘
Awesome video man! When you’re packing the color in, are you blasting right over the inside outlines? Or do you just get real tight to it? Cheers!
Best channel! keep up the good work
youre my hero lol. youre videos are on point, I use my own skin as practice lol
Thanks man I appreciate that!! 👍👍 your own skin is the best skin to practice on!!🤘🤘
your videos are so awesome !! thank you for being here and thank you for these awesome videos their well thought out and straight to the point I actually learned a lot .,, also the color you use is a MAZING I love bright colors I always see artist use dull colors it looks like the tattoos were already older. but
it's crazy how ignorant a lot of artist are about tattooing. tattooing is an art lol do it with the safe percations and have fun. if you're an artist and looked up this video or stubbled upon if this your sign to ✨✨ JUST DO IT ✨✨
Thank you sooo much Paola! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for your vids learned lot just did my 1st tattoo smooth thank again for explained full details awsome videos man
Oh thats AWESOME to hear your 1st tattoo turned out solid!!! 👍👍👍 Congrats my friend!! Now keep at it cause you can only go up from here!! Rock on brother!! 🤘🤘
Sir your videos have taught me so much. Could you explain to me long taper and soft edge if you don't mind

No problem Gerry I'm glad you enjoyed the video!! Thanks for watching brother appreciate the support!! 🤘🤘🤘
What's a good tattoo gun for beginners
❤💓💗newbie here..practice skin only🙂 hoping someday..i know how to handle it properly..tnx to your video
Awesome tips, also do you have a preference of color ink and black and white ink brands and do they make a difference?
I use eternal and fantasia for color and mainly dynamic for black and for gray wash. Hope this helps Mark and thanks for watching!! 🤘🤘🤘
Your videos are really good. Thankyou x
Thank you Melanie I really appreciate that!! 👍👍 And thanks for watching and commenting hope you have a great day and thanks for supporting the channel Melanie!!🤘🤘
Thank you so much for your invaluable informative teachings. Can you show us how to tattoo a word on the face?!
you are so good! so fun to watch
Great video! Semper Fi brother.
Awesome video!
Can you pass any color over black lines when color packing without affecting the black? For example, you got the lining/black work done then you’re going to add color. When packing the color I see you can go over the black lines. Is that with any color over black?
YEs you can pass color over the black lines.
Cool! Thanks for the help.
When you were shading the first flower. Did you go over the outline lines with the pedal?
do you have a video on how shading needles differ? i was also wondering how the color doesnt go over the black line work. thank you so much!!
If you havent already I would say check out my video play list: how to tattoo tutorials. It may help answer your questions a bit better. THanks Ariana for watching and supporting the channel!!! 🤘🤘
@@ArtSomething thank you!!!
