    I've been learning to tattoo for a few months now. I can't practice all week long, but I do when I can. I've watched a lot of videos on RUclips and I learned a lot from it, but like you said with adjusting your needle: find something that suits you. This is your channel for me. Like I said, I learned a lot from other videos, but your videos are the best for me. Good and easy to remember, clear information, and just fun to watch. I now I'm going to learn much more now I've discovered your channel. So thanks for your vids and thanks for (hopefully 😄) making me a better artist!

    Bro im 13 years in, on and off, and now im all in, still driving coaches full time and tattooing clients again at least 3 nights a week, info like this was not available back in early mid 2000s when i taught myself, im not perfect but seem to be better at blackwork. Thanks for making this its all great

      You’re absolutely right this information was not around in the mid 2000s cause I was looking as well! But didn’t really find much I guess at that time if you wanted to learn you kind a need to buy books. Glad to hear you’re able to tattoo three nights a week, keep the dream alive and some money in the pocket!!🤘🤘🤘

    Funny thing is that after watching the first video, I started to see a rainbow of colors with this piece and the idea about mixing the colors for the ideal tone came to mind, so when you spoke on the mixing in the tube it really shocked me. I am a rookie that only tatted myself and i did that but did not know it was actually a thing.

    Really nice to find someone who is actually producing helpful, useful content. I've had my kit for a while and after some initial practice felt a bit dejected because I was making progress but couldn't work out where I was going wrong sometimes. So many tatoo artists online are keen to make it a "dark art" and reluctant to answer any questions. I'm unable to work at the moment due to another lockdown in the UK, and you've inspired me to dig out my kit again and give it another go while I have the time. Thank you :)

    I sometimes add a dab of distilled water when I am packing color. I find it easier to pack it in.

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  4 года назад +3

      I agree with you on that one. I usually add a little mixing solution about a 2 drops to each cap depending on cap size that is. Thanks for being REAL and not some looser trying to be cool by making a very bad or even harmful video about tatooing. • @tweetalig

    When he says be gentle, boy you better listen. I was working on a black out tat yesterday at a max of 3.8 volts and my arm is friggin ground beef right now. Luckily i was smart enough to stop before i did to much so id be able to fix it later.

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  4 года назад +2

      One of the hardest things to do is understand just how gentle you need to be at times and when not to be as gentle. Its a process and it can be very difficult at times. Its for this reason I always say practice as much as you can on fruit and fake skin and then your own skin before hitting someone's skin. And remember your hand speed plays just as big a roll as your voltage. I'm happy to hear you stopped before things got bad👍. Keep practicing and stay motivated! Maybe a stupid question but what about when u switch from pink to yellow? Do u use a different needle and tube? I've seen people run the machine in a cup of water before changing colors but I feel like that's not good. I have no idea

    Hey, it is so relaxing watching you at tattooing ... 😊
    You told that video is for beginners so I have some beginner questions:
    noticed
    effect ? I saw you do it like you want it 😆 but I think for thin straight lines for example 90 degree would be better or not???
    ...and yes you did an amazing tat it looks at closeup much brighter and nicer... so beautiful....

      Great question Dane👍 . I don't get to concerned about the color ink hitting the lines. I try for the most part to just stay within the lines but hitting the lines isn't going to hurt anything. I hope this make sence and I hope to address that in a bit more detail in a latter video. Thanks for watching appreciate you supporting the channel! 🤘

    it's crazy how ignorant a lot of artist are about tattooing. tattooing is an art lol do it with the safe percations and have fun. if you're an artist and looked up this video or stubbled upon if this your sign to ✨✨ JUST DO IT ✨✨

And I just want to do my best to help those who are trying to learn how to put art on skin. I’m not the greatest artist I’m just willing to share my experiences with others. Thanks again for the support and wish you the best of luck in your tattoo journey. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

    Hello! Excellent video- I’ve heard that if you were to wipe a color onto freshly worked skin you could potentially tint the area with an undesired color (for example if you wiped the green leaf color onto the pink-ish red flower you could end up with brownish petals instead) how important is it to be mindful of the order in which you apply the colors/wiping direction?

  • @berknercg7172
    @berknercg7172 3 года назад

    This was so helpful, thank you! I do have one question for you if you see this, should you go as deep into the skin when you're shading a tattoo vs. when you're lining a tattoo?

  • @hannah_artt4786
    @hannah_artt4786 4 года назад +3

    When you are wiping and that bit of ink goes over the rest of your work, do you have to worry about it staining or will it just wipe away when you are done? Great video by the way ^^

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  4 года назад +3

      No wiping it won’t stain the work. You may want to be a little careful when wiping a darker color over top of your white, cause it may not always but may mix a little with your white or really light colors. I hope this answers your question Vince. 👍 thanks for watching man! Glad your enjoying the content. 🤘

    Hi there, great videos and instructions from someone in the industry. I’m a bit of a traditionalist and have always used a foot pedal, how do you find not stopping and starting the machine as often? Is it hard to get used to? I’ve always used rotary machines and have been using a pen for a few years but am about to make the jump to wireless. Cheers, keep up the good work.

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  4 года назад

      Yeah man I love the going wireless. It is a bit weird at first since your always trying to find your peddle and even when you remember you dont have one any more you may still find your self pushing on the floor here and there lol. But once you get use to it, I must say its amazing. Now this is just my opinion im sure plenty of other artist may hate them but for me I love them. Thanks again angrybiker appreciate your support my friend and let me know how it goes when you try the wireless out. !! 🤘🤘🤘

    Can you pass any color over black lines when color packing without affecting the black? For example, you got the lining/black work done then you’re going to add color. When packing the color I see you can go over the black lines. Is that with any color over black?
