- ► A year ago, this place was HORRIBLE!! I noticed since then, they have gone up by one star on Yelp and so now it is time to revisit to see what has changed..... IF ANYTHING AT ALL!!!

Judging by those reviews, there is no way they could pull out all the stops for Daym.
It's a small town so Daym's subscriber base is important, they had to step up. Daym's subscriber count is literally something like 60 PERCENT of CT's population

I really think that if you hadn't given them that first review they wouldn't have changed. It's a good thing you were so critical of their food. Made them reevaluate and make changes.

I just said yesterday that the worst review visits and revisits are my jam, and this is what I mean. What's crazy though, is maybe they been this good the whole time, maybe last time chef was sick and they had a fill in. You never know. Glad Daym went back and was alive with that five.

That was an excellent review Daym! It's a great for that restaurant to turn things around by making the necessary changes. Reviews such as this makes the whole staff take pride in their hard work. I'm a fan of blue cheese myself. I could already tell that burger was gonna bang when I saw the ample amount of blue cheese on it. Good job!

Bad restaurants I revisit only ever seem to get worse with the passage of time. Hope the hard work gets rewarded.
That interaction first off was amazing with her she’s was an amazing waitress..the ketchup scene had me weak I did not expect that 😂..the Rueben D had was so amazing looking that’s that prime cut..and the burger was so much better prepared everything that time was so glad this review was better much love ya

You remind me of a local radio station from years ago, the announcer would do unofficial food reviews, and if he didn't like spot or food.. he'd refer to the place as a "scarf and barf".

This is a reminder that bad things can actually be good for us. This restaurant got a very public, bad review. They were seen by a channel with nearly TWO MILLION subscribers. And it wasn’t good. Instead of giving up or staying complacent, they made a change. And now they’ve become a genuinely good restaurant. Seems to have woken them up and given them a second wind and second chance. Beautiful to see someone step it up when needed. I hope this restaurant becomes a local favorite.

Give Frankie's in West Haven a try. They have some of the best burgers and dogs I've had in CT.
I'm somewhat still let down by the amount of blue cheese crumbles that were on the burger. Seems like if that's a primary ingredient on a burger they'd add more to make sure it's remembered as a blue cheese burger. But then again, blue cheese isn't necessarily for everyone since it has a distinctly noticeable flavor, so maybe that's why more wasn't included.
