I just don’t know why anybody would lease…. Pay prime 50k a year to lease there equipment for them to skim the top off all your loads that you have no control of choosing, then at the end give them the truck you paid 200k for at the end of the lease back for them to sell it for 70 to 80k to give you a small “lease completion bonus” which is simply your own money they been putting to the side so they can take a quarter of it to make there truck perfect for resale at your expense. I know this works for you because at this point RUclips is probably paying your bills because people like watch pretty truck drivers but the theft of wealth from truck drivers is truly socking.

Hi Shania, great vlogs, thanks for making them! Glad I'm not the only one that has my head on a swivel doing highway combat, oops I mean driving. About route planing, like pilots do flight planning, In addition to maps, I like to use google maps street view/satellite view to take a look at obstacles along the way to get the lay of the land so to speak to save on suprises. Especially handy if driving in Europe, Africa or other alien places overseas.
Been with Prime inc since 2013. Started as company but been o/o since 2021. Regret taking so long to lease. I have no complaints. Left once and came back.
I'd of started it and ran it for a bit. Hope you didn't have a hard crank. I'm sure you use anti gels in the fuel. Cold of winter is brutal on a truck just sitting there. I'd get as close as I could to the house and run sone strong lead cords. Plug that girl in. Keep the engine core warm. Be safe babgirl. ❤❤❤
@@Roadrunnania Hello Nia, I also sent an email, and some things, from my RUclips channel. I really hope, the economy improves more. I'll never forget in 2022, when diesel was very high for y'all truckers dang. In my state gas was $5 a gallon! In 2022. That's the highest I seen so far.
She will and should walk away from lease been watching her before I started driving make more stuck with one company she is truly misguided and a little misguiding you tube and future referrals will help but from company to lease you are moving too much but learning slowly making many mistakes
The 12 speed freightliner is designed to go 75mph at peak torque and fuel efficiency. It sits right on 1500rpm at 75mph. In short, because there are no flat roads where no external factors such as wind resistance and friction exist, it requires less energy to propel an already moving object up a hill at a higher speed than to maintain a lower speed up the incline. Inertia… That thing trucking companies love to hate.
Your wrong, sweet spot is 1200 RPM for peak torque and fuel mileage,at 75 your burning more fuel and shorting the Life of tires and more prone major crashes with less reaction time.
As a previous prime driver and trainer you will find a trailer where the refer is low when the customer requires a full refer when you bring an empty to them especially with the meat places.
I was so nervous to watch because i literally started in September & will be transferring to my own truck (leasing) next month & really don’t know what to expect. But I did use your code! It was only right lol 💕
I had no idea they are trying to put cameras in trucks that you lease?! That’s a hard no for me frfr thanks for making this video Nia it was super informative.
Just remember the lease completion incentive is something you are paying into. They take so much per mile from you to feed it into that and your Tire Fund. So the more you sit, the less it is.
Hi👋, Nia wow what a very very informative trucking 🚛🚛🚛🚛 video 📹 this was, i would have thought it would be stressful enough just driving, then all that extra stuff to deal with mind boggling 😮, i personally think and only my opinion that 65mph is to fast all that truck bearing down on you in a god forbid accident, don't bear thinking about 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈56mph is enough, and trucks are a lot heavier in USA just because of the lengths, ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m wanting to start a new career in trucking and am interested in the straight lease option through Prime in Chicago. Can you please comment on whether I’d be able to start as a walk away lease driver being a new CDL school graduate? I plan on paying for CDL school on my own.
You have paid over $2.60 a gallon for fuel mam. The app price doesn't show state fuel tax in the price. In the app,you can see what we paid at the pump, with prepaid tax and no tax. We are slow at 65(64.6 Peterbilt) but only pay $6(LP) or $30(Lease) a week for insurance. $30,000+ end of lease is for team trucks. Must be over 300,000 miles for bigger EOL bonus as a solo. Mileage charge is part of end of lease payout as well. It also covers damage and repair should your truck need it. I also agree with you on the camera. I'm ducking the yard just like you. Statements also show what was billed to the customer. It hurts seeing how the load paid $6000 and we got $4500. Very informative video and see you around.
Im happy that they have a long training to make sure that you should know everything. 65 driving with loads make it more difficult to stop fast enough to reduce accidents, and the 30,000 can assist you with buying your own truck or home.
I switched from company to owner op bcuz they kept calling me in to watch videos on how I drive and got tired of it getting in the way of making money. I was buying a truck with no camera. 🥳 You should try quarterly taxes. I liked it. Paying $1,000-$1,500 every 3 months for taxes. Trucking has gotten to the point to where it's no longer about making money. It's about controlling individuals or you can't make money. 🤷
Also.. you never get along with DMs && Brokers bcuz after all, you can't always go straight from A to B. Eventually you're gonna start doing things along the way.
Lease ops can park their truck wherever they want for home time, but company drivers have to pay for professional storage which isn't available in allot of states. While in TNT my trainer said I could park at my local TA, but after TNT when I became a company driver I was often denied home time simply because I couldn't find professional storage in my home town more did I have the $ to rent a car to drive home from a terminal.
Wow, I can't believe you have had the truck so long. It seems like just a month ago, you got the truck. Anyway, I'm glad it's working for ya and hope nothing but the best for you.
I drove by the PRIME hub in Springfield Missouri where I live and I noticed a lot of the trucks backed in without trailers what’s that about, are they waiting for loads or just parking there rigs thank you for sharing your opinion and experience have a great day
Most of the trucks parked at the terminal is for all different reasons is either because they are in home time, they have classes they have to take, they are just parked there for the reset or etc.
^ everything she said. There’s also a lot of trucks constantly getting turned into prime that are parked waiting on the shop to get looked at and cleaned
If you haven't done it yet, do the Ace 2 class. It will explain all of those individual deductions on your statements. And they used to give you a week and a half truck payment for the class
@PersuaderboatsGoFast thanks, it's been 10 years or so since I did that. I drive local for airgas now. Cryogenics is the way to go if you want to be home, in my opinion, for anyone who may read this and wanting to know what options are out there. Home every night, 5 day work week, 100k plus a year.
keep trucking baby girl you got this , Prime is a great Company, i mean every company is gonna screw you Prime atleast puts some graese on it 😂, love your video....
Having a life equates to keeping you in debt for your prime working years and sadly it’s viewed as if there’s something wrong with you for not going out all the time, but there isn’t ,it’s better to keep your money in your pocket

You can tell she’s very independent and hard worker 💪 Obviously has her priorities Strate. A lot of us women don’t realy worry about having a man around when we have these traits and personality . Nia is Gorgeous and Smart 😊 🔥 💪
Modern women are different. They prefer being alone. Until they are old and not wanted by men anymore. Then all of a sudden they want someone. 🙄

I’m glad you learning how leasing works
Im liking the microphone 🎤 much better audio.. You inspired me to get my CDL this year. Passed with no restrictions in California
Time flies! I remember when she was with KLLM
Yes ,these bad companies invest in commercials, i betya she is not leaving prime yard .
@@VujoIgwhy wouldn’t she be leaving prime yard? People say anything now days

Near I always thought you were a knockout until this day. I still feel that way you’re such a beautiful woman. I love your eyes. I love your hair. I just love everything about you and you’re good at what you do very good at what you do I wouldn’t mind taking you out to dinner sometime or lunch or since your truck driver breakfast have a good day
Ive passed her on the road multiple times since she jumped into this peterbilt. Stop being a clown@@VujoIg
I run a dedicated route, hauling McDonald’s fries, out of Canada. Dedicated routes exist, but are limited. We still need Canada drivers, for this winter, because some of our guys don’t want on it, during wind n snow
You did a most thorough, detailed and excellent presentation. You might give some thought to training people someday. Great job ! Happy Thanksgiving. 🦃
Most of the stresses of being an O/O while still being a company driver
Yep
Only plus to it is not having to keep the truck
Google maps will tell you to go down tiny side streets through neighborhoods with a 53' trailer😂😂😂
Can’t cheap, gotta get that garmin dezl
@@mike88wt I don't use Google Maps, I was saying what will happen if you do.
Yeah Google maps is for cars
Former driver. Yeah best get a truckers map book. Their expensive but worth it. Map out your route the night before. 😉
Only idiots will use Google maps driving a semi
Setup is 99.9% of the fight in backing
As a previous prime driver and trainer you will find a trailer where the refer is low when the customer requires a full refer when you bring an empty to them especially with the meat places.
Very, very informational and a mentor. Luv the vid it had a lot of info. Awesome awesome awesome 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽, Nia B Nia👍🏽
Already got my CDL class A no restrictions here in Atlanta Georgia. What company should I start ?
I left Prime and is now at Crete. Love it! Let me know if you want more info
I was so nervous to watch because i literally started in September & will be transferring to my own truck (leasing) next month & really don’t know what to expect. But I did use your code! It was only right lol 💕
Great video, very inspirational as well as informative
I had no idea they are trying to put cameras in trucks that you lease?!
That’s a hard no for me frfr thanks for making this video Nia it was super informative.
The cons overshadow the pros.
Just remember the lease completion incentive is something you are paying into. They take so much per mile from you to feed it into that and your Tire Fund. So the more you sit, the less it is.
Your hair makes you look even more gorgeous.
Fucking ridiculous
FIRST ! I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ! KEEP IT UP :) YOU MOTIVATE ME TO GET MY AZ LICENSES IN JANUARY !
I been thru so many companies, you learn different systems and ways companies do things which gives you the experience you need to know how.
Also.. you never get along with DMs && Brokers bcuz after all, you can't always go straight from A to B. Eventually you're gonna start doing things along the way.
As a matter of fact, I don't call anyone at all. They call and bother me. 😂
Love the hair gurl. Happy Thanksgiving
When you got there did you give your recruiter a CLP or CDL license?
I like the mic tho fr fr . Can't stop lookin at that dope ahh Mic
I'm curious on how you got a fridge on the side there, and if it's legal to take off the seat
They defer the payment, and then you get an extra $20 or so to pay each week until its paid off.
Nice video! I have been at Prime 6 years as a company driver! Be safe diamond!
That boujee ass fridge 😂 but thanks for all the info , I’m a new driver so tryna learn as much as I can for future moves
Glad you tried the mic. 🎤 I told you about it 😊
keep trucking baby girl you got this , Prime is a great Company, i mean every company is gonna screw you Prime atleast puts some graese on it 😂, love your video....
Hi Shania hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving and I bet your K-9 child enjoyed treats too !
How do u run all those appliances without overloading the inverter? Do you unplug certain ones before using another????
Having a life equates to keeping you in debt for your prime working years and sadly it’s viewed as if there’s something wrong with you for not going out all the time, but there isn’t ,it’s better to keep your money in your pocket
You been on my smash list for like 2 years 🎉
This is exactly what I needed info on leading thanks nia 🎉🎉
I drive for prime they purposely feed yuteube with good loads you will not make what she makes not even close
Love the content Nia, keep trucking.
When my company put a camera in my truck, I got my own MC & DOT #'s.
Goodmorning have a great day god bless
I’ve been watching your videos I want to say that you’re a great motivator I will always be a fan.
