Thank you Baba my wife Jackie adores you and follows your recipes and is defiantly going to make the Vieno Maznik for Vasilica with a coin for Macedonian New Years Day on the 14th January 2023. We will see which family will have the lucky piece with the coin. Streken Bozik from the TALEVSKI family Australia. God Bless.
Dear Mile, Thank you for your comments about my Vieno and other recipes. It is a traditional Macedonian dish for new years and it will bring great joy to whoever wins the coin! I am grateful that your wife is enjoying my videos and I really value everyone’s comments. Merry Christmas and happy new year! 🎄 - Baba ❤️
My Baba from Buf would call it burek. I still miss her's. I love that you made it here for everyone to watch and find out how to make it. Thank you! 💖😊🇲🇰💖
Hello Jenny. I am delighted to find out that information about you and your Baba. I really hope you try to make it, it’s very simple and your family will love it! Love, Baba ❤️❤️
Thank you Mary. I hope you enjoy making the Vieno! Just to let u know, I will not be posting any new videos until Christmas time as the children are back in university. I look forward to posting during the holiday. Love, Baba ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you dear Baba for going through all the steps. All you prepare looks beautiful ! It always makes me smile when I see you’ve posted a new video. May God bless you and yours.
Thank you for your sweet comments Lily. I enjoyed doing this video because my grandchildren wanted explicit instructions and would you believe one of them has already made one, and it was delicious! I wish you well and I hope you try it Love, Baba
Love your videos, just recently found your channel. What a find :) thank you for the recipes and teaching me some Macedonian. Please make a musaka and a lamb roast or any roast video for us please baba. I made the chicken and rice and was amazing and my hubby almost cried lololol thank you for everything.
Thank you very much for your recent comment on my cooking channel. It began as a labour of love for my grandchildren because they didn’t want to forget their Macedonian cooking. It was much to my surprise how popular these videos became, it seems everyone else wanted to learn as well. I will try to do the roasts for you in my future videos. Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family. Love, Baba
Shopriche baba , I love your channel and am so thankful I get the opportunity to learn as I regret not taking the opportunity to when my baba was healthy . Can I ask if I can use olive oil or will this change the taste / texture .
Hello Jessica, Thank you so much for your comment!! It is better if you use a lighter oil (vegetable oil). I use Unico but you can use whichever brand you want. I have never tried using Olive Oil. I wouldn’t recommend using Olive Oil for baking. Love, Afternoons with Baba 💕💕
Hello Sophie! I am glad that you enjoyed the video. Please do try it multiple times until it’s tailored to how you like it. It is easier than you think ❤️ Love, Baba ❤️
You can also call it Banitsa like they do in Pirinska Makedonia. No problem especially since Serbs also use that word but pronounce it differently. Another awesome traditional recipe done the old way! More work but it makes an absolutely delicious Pita!
Hello, thank you for your comment. I appreciate your feedback. I speak primarily in English in these videos as my grandchildren speak mainly English. However, I will try in the future i will put on Macedonian Subtitles for you to see. ❤️
