This guy is one of the most versatile artist from my little country Belgium. He is a singer, a songwriter, a contemporary dancer and choreographer, he is a costumes designer, he wrote a "fantasy" novel for teenagers, his short musical named Candy shows all his talents. He is also a good guy, honest, funny and very sweet.
Loïc has made several albums in English and this song was the first in French, his native language. She came out just at the time of the first Covid confinement. He did not expect it to affect many of his fans. This performance was performed at a small "virtual" concert and it was the first time he had sung it live. we can clearly hear his emotion and he is even mistaken in the lyrics, he is so moved.
This song is so sad and so very captures the time we are living in. It's sung with such emotion- he's captivating. I'm a French teacher and the lyrics are interesting as well from a language standpoint.
I'm neither a French speaking native nor an English one. I've seen at least two English translations of the lyrics. The lyrics in French are so much powerful and poetic. There's no doubt that some of the essence of words are lost in the translation.
It's so lovely that you've discovered this particular performance and this particular artist. He has more you should hear. This is actually one of the first artists I reacted to on my channel. He's really something special.
I totally agree with you ❤ Hearing this artist is the best thing that can happen you these days, if you love music. His new album Addictocrate is truly a treasure box of beautiful and powerful songs. I hope you will react to them some day.❤❤❤. His live performance is a separate form of art. ruclips.net/video/XZx5amDy3nU/видео.html
He was very bad when he wrote this song, he wrote everything he had in his head. He continues to say this song it's him at 98%. Sometimes it's too much emotional for sing that. This guy is so amazing, thanks for your reaction.
The official video has english subtitles, check it out, it's a very powerful and touching song. Loic released 2 albums in english, Selfocracy and Sillygomania. It's important to listen track by track in order because it's like a story...
Wow, I'm so amazed about the freedom of expression in young people with a great voice. To be present like this young man Loic Nottet, in his embodiment of the song, completely merged with it, almost like a down-to-earth channeling, by letting the sounds come through.
This song blew me away. Of course, I have "Hi Ren" queued-up right after this one. I know both of these songs well and am so glad to see anglophone reactions to this artist's brilliance.
There is a French singer I recommend you to listen to, his name his Gregory Lemarchal. He passed away a few years after he finally made it to singing professionally after winning a 3 month singing show (competition). He had mucoviscidosis which took him even extra effort to sing and he was sooooooooo soooooooo good. A voice of an angel. I miss him so much.
I just love him 🥹 I think you would enjoy his chandelier rendition that he did for a radio sender I believe. He’s a little bit younger but it also shows his capabilities beautifully I think. Something that struck me was that he smiled the same smile after that song like the one he gives here. He got emotional and then looks like, to me, like he just wants to go and cry a bit. Thanks for your interesting and enlightening reaction, always nice to learn something new. I think if you would have been my music teacher at school I would have actually learned a lot. You’re great!
This song is so beautiful and even though Loic is from my (small) country, he's from the French part, I understand most but not everything so I had to watch his original video with subs and it's such a beautiful outcry from today's youth. Be sure to watch and listen to it. Anyway, can you believe he won Dancing With the Stars France (DALS) at the age of 19 and with the highest scores ever? Also his dance on said show on the song Chandelier by Sia, has got over 100 million views, no other Dancing With ... has gotten as much views . Again, speaking about the song Chandelier, it's to no surprise he can sing that perfectly, it's been one of his most 'react to Loic' video's by youtubers. But ofcourse, when reactiong to his song, a million eyes sure must be on the list. But do the video, his dancing skills and choreography is amazing, he knows how to bring it. This young man is really multi talented. And thank you for your endearing reaction.
How could I have forgotten to mention, he also performed at the Eurovision Song Contest and ended 4th place, he did everything himself, he even sew his own clothes. He just turned 19.
Damn, I had heard other recordings of this song but it's interesting, he definitely had to take more pauses in this one because the emotions were too intense. What an amazing song.
it's time for you DIRTY LOOPS rabbit hole, the beautiful voice of JONAH NILSSON singing BREAKDOWN and the unbelievable version of Michael Jackson's THRILLER a collaboration with guitar player CORY WONG and his horn section. just a couple of tune to get you started. dirty loops are classically trained Swedish musicians. JONAH NILSSON vocals and keyboards, HENRIK LINDER one of today's great bass players and AARON MELLERGARD an amazing underrated drummer. one of the most popular tunes is the unbelievable WORK SHIT OUT (the studio video not the live) great drumming and bass performances. best wishes from the north east coast of England.
Damn!! what he does is so unique and extremely hard to sing. For a male singing on that key throught the whole song is ridicilously hard. I would bleed my nose and eyes out. WOW!!
This song can already be considered as a classic, in french songs. You should also listen to Mélodram and also Danser, his two last songs. In english : Millions eyes, Heartbreaker (veyr different), Mus Blood, or is cover of Sya's Chandelier/
Wow.....what a fantastic, knowledgeable reaction. I'm quite new to your channel and was wondering if you've reacted to "I'll never fall in love again" by Tom Jones. His 1967 recording moves me almost to tears every time I see it. Soulful stuff.
You have to listen to the cover of "Marie Clauzel" she puts so much emotion into the music she manages to sublimate the text I get chills every time I listen to it
I'm sorry my comment is not apropos of the video above but I don't know how else to do this. I would like to see three singers compared: Patsy Cline, Mandy Barnett, and LeAnn Rimes. They can be similar and I think it would be interesting to learn what differences there have been in their performances of various songs. They have each performed "Crazy", written by Willy Nelson. Patsy Cline and LeAnn Rimes have both performed "Blue", written by Bill Mack. Mandy Barnett has performed "The Whispering Wind (Blows On By)", written by Lawrence Russell Brown & Pat McLaughlin. Thank you!
You need to meet Ginette Reno, dear, a Québec power house that bring tears to Céline Dion's eyes and humbles her. Their duet is simply gut wrenching: Céline Dion & Ginette Reno - Un peu plus haut, Un peu plus loin (2008). Last song of an openair Céline show in Quebec City. It all begins with Jean-Pierre Ferland who's the song writer. Ginette appears after a little while (1:57), it all stops while the crowd gives her a standing ovation... and then. Then. :)
While you're checking out Belgian artists: I'd higly recommend Tamino with Habibi. (Not sure if it has been suggested yet, but it'd be a shame if nobody has.)
Wtf are you blathering about? I’ve felt EXACTLY this song ALL MY LIFE…..I’m 51….so I felt EXACTLY this through the 80s 90s and on and ON. What does the pandemic have to do with this? You cannot be suggesting that somehow humans haven’t felt this deep gut wrenching screams from the soul before? Christ learn some history….ya might be a bit shocked. There’s been WAY WAY WAY worse than covid. 🙄🤡😵💫
Don't know how you choose songs, but I'll send you my favorite male voice of all time. It's hard to choose one song but I think this one represents Paddy Reilly pretty well. If you don't have a lot of time just tune in at 41 seconds to hear a little of what I consider perfection. I've seen him live and I'll never forget it. ruclips.net/video/ILlAelAwQ5U/видео.html

WTAF??? he is the best!! I don't understand a single word and yet every time I hear it I get goosebumps and cry ❤❤
if you want to look up the translation of this song it’s really worth it !! the lyrics are so deep and it’s beautifully written

The text is really well written. Even more moving when you understand it.

Thank you for showing so many artists I would never see or hear. This is why I love your channel.
This makes me so happy. ❤
Loïc is a great guy... not only a singer. He is a very good guy.
C’est d’autant plus émouvant de partager ces émotions avec votre très belle analyse!
This guy is completely crazy and what he does with hir performance to me...
Please react more to Loic. Such an amazing voice! He has so many great perfomances and music videos!

You should watch him sing his song 29 live, it's beautiful
I have enjoyed seeing Loic since he first appeared on my radar at the Eurovision song contest in 2015!
This guy is BOMB 💥 💯 in a great way☺️😌

Also: you won't regret it. It's a hauntingly beautiful song.
