Star was promoted as a nice small City, it's not it has turned into bad traffic, increased crime, trash, rude people, and schools that are way overcrowded
The Hwy 16 extension is a good thing. It’s better to have high traffic capacity on a roadway designed for it rather than high traffic clogging up city streets.
There have been talks, but it most likely won't be for years down the road. Owyhee HS is pretty much the Star HS. Lots of Star students and Star pride down there.
Hey Greg…Is there direct trail access for SxS from Star? Like can you get there if you have a street legal configuration or do you need a truck and trailer? Are the trails there width restricted? Thanks
So doing some research and found this out. Trumpet Rd off Highway 16, just south of Firebird Raceway has BLM access. Also, right up Hwy 16 is Little Gem Dirt Park. Lastly, there is a trail from Star all the way to Idaho City. Pretty cool
It's like an offroad paradise. Great research. If they care that much about a random comment on this site, imagine how much they'll help researching your new home for you.
I appreciate the research. I don’t know if I’ll actually get a SxS, but they are part of the appeal to relocating. Star is definitely on our list of places to tour, and I anticipate reaching out when we get closer to moving. IIRC, you’ve done a video on Twin Falls; I was also wondering does your team also have a contact for Lewiston? Thanks again.
All thst new development.....lol you showed the new stores and then the SAME NEW STORES without the signs just being built.....lol on top of it the dog park has no trees no shade is way smaller than in the picture and two people have already told me their dogs have gotten kennel cough from going there but you do hit some great angles to make it look how much bigger and so much newer it's crazy😂
Takes 30 mins to drive 2 miles through star on the weekdays, it's a joke. Idaho is not smart. Population increasing by the tens of thousands and y'all can't add another lane for traffic you just keep putting in more subdivisions to cause more congestion and problems. People there are also very aggressive/angry drivers with road rage incidents involving guns occurring constantly. You have the super rich Californians coming to a rural Idaho farm town and turning it into New L.A. Stay far away from Star, ID if you can
Not exactly. There is no public transportation in the city & the city is so small that everything in the city is 5 minutes away but bigger stores are a 15 minute drive.
Those fast food restaurants are just terrible. You need a Trader Joe’s? Something you can get fruits and vegetables cause I have a juicer and I like organic eggs and steak I don’t think you have a place like that. here in Los Angeles Vons has pretty good produce and fruit but that fast foods Terrible dude stay away from processed meats and chicken sandwiches. We have Chick-fil-A. Chicken, fast food, too much hormones
Calm down karen? You sound like one of the new rude people that moved here to star! And you really don't want to move here anyways because the Ridley's the people are so redneck that work there they smell of cigarettes and keep you waiting in line for 25 minutes if you forget to punch in your phone number and want to change that and that is a personal experience my friend😂 and they are both crazy overpriced but not worth it at all

Great, more new homes painted 3 shades of grey that locals can't afford.
Get two jobs and quit whining Karen
Any word regarding a new high school in Star?

I was told there was a St Luke’s in Eagle?
Yes. It's on the east side of Eagle off of State Street.

Star USED to be a good town. Too many cockroaches moved in and ruined it.
Amen
Did you move in ?
Let me guess Californian’s.
Expensive. Another Mountain West scam.

Star has an Albertson's and a Ridley's Family Market, so clam down Karen.
I agree with you 100%. You should stay in LA.

The traffic in the treasure valley because of the increase and hardly any new infrastructure being added, is on par with California unfortunately.
