I watch a lot of tutorials and I have seen some good ones, but this is BY FAR the best tutorial I have seen for photoshop. The only way it could have been better was to include keyboard shortcuts along with instructions (you can still click them for more casual users to follow). Love the editing and the outcome of the tutorial. Will be recommending.
I have a tiny text file on my desktop where I keep a few select curated RUclips links to tutorials that I reference on the regular. You made the list. (So slick, thanks).
I love the way you explain it by putting key word to the screen so we don’t make mistakes. I hope you will show how to create an entire tshirt with a distorted logo on it .
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I don't know how to say "Thank you" You gave such a thing that is really precious. Please keep uploading such Amazing! videos.
Awesome! It works perfectly for a black logo BUT with a white logo, the distressed effect applies to the background (which I add in black). How do I distress white text?
The best tutorial music ever!!! Juega niño, el poder nuestro es, Hoy seremos Dragon Ball Z, Procura llegar al final y luchar con valor, En los campos, deja las flores crecer, Feliz!!
Thanks for the great tutorial Joel! Exactly what I needed to finish a project. Got to the transparent background tip though and my color logo, went monochrome on me. Any tips for keeping the original color when applying the transparent background trick?
I don't know how's your logo, but for something outlined in black, try grayscaling the logo and use curves just to get the solid black and the rest in white. Then recolor manually in other layers.
no, there's nothing wrong here. Masks only contain grayscale levels info. And these levels are applyed to the layer. First of all you should separate each color in a different layer.
It is not only applied to the logo. It is applied to the whole document! When setting the layer to "lighten" blacks become transparent and white keeps visible, but white on white makes it look as it there was nothing :)
Love this, but I'm Sooooo sad because the whole transparency thing in the end doesn't work! I cannot paste the logo into the merge layer no matter what I do - it creates a completely new layer instead. Waaaaah :(((
Hello! If you found this video useful, please tip me with the $uper Thanks button. This will be much appreciated!

Concise, entertaining, and not the least bit confusing. Bravo on making the perfect tutorial.

Love the "be nice to your mommy" message, right on man! Great tutorial as well, finishes off strong with the transparent background tip at the end.
Hahaha it's always funny to give a random advice! :) Yes, that transparent trick is dope!!!
GREAT Music~ Thank you so much for doing this.

Great video!
Thanks for the lesson!
For some reason my colored logo loses its color at the time I I copy the logo in the layer mask ... does someone know what I im doing wrong ?
no, there's nothing wrong here. Masks only contain grayscale levels info. And these levels are applyed to the layer. First of all you should separate each color in a different layer.
Thanks for the nice tutorial mate but it works only for black and white logo
Thank you for including sub-titles!
Gotta like the vídeo after bringing good memories with the sound track.
You are so awesome!
This is amazing, thanks!
you are welcome! :)
but how do you go from this to vector? You can only use this logo in 1 size, you can't scale it
awesome!
Muy bueno!
COOL DBZ MUSIC!
Namek forever.
hi! why when i merged al the layers the results is the texture in dark? ... doesn´t get to the final results you get ... thanks!
I'm trying to figure out how to do this in Elements. How did you magically make it only apply to the logo at 2:02 ?
It is not only applied to the logo. It is applied to the whole document! When setting the layer to "lighten" blacks become transparent and white keeps visible, but white on white makes it look as it there was nothing :)
What font you used for the word logo
Love this, but I'm Sooooo sad because the whole transparency thing in the end doesn't work! I cannot paste the logo into the merge layer no matter what I do - it creates a completely new layer instead. Waaaaah :(((
Looks like you are not getting inside the mask. You should Alt+click this to get inside.
Finally, thanks!!!
You're welcome! :)
Thank you
This is clutch!!!! Thanks so much!!! Your instagram is dope too!!
Thank you!!! :)))))
عالی

wickeeeeed, thanks bro
Been dancing instead of following! Now I have to go back all over 🤦🏾♀️😂
Ooooor you could just use *eraser tool with grunge effect.*
A lot easier. 🤞🏻
may i know what title of the album of the songs
It's from dragon ball, but I've got no clue about the album. I believe it is played during the first tournaments...
That is some seriously hokey music.
I am lost. I can;t paint white to new layer
The Dragon Ball music omg.
Great tutorial, great music. I approve.
“I’m the hope of the universe”
I'm here for the music
dragon ball always.
DB music?... thanks
yep! :)
my one gets f**ed up when i merge the layers, using CS3
Same here, it turns black and white and when I make it transparent, the whole logo gets transparent.
sounds like a tokusatsu theme
What is this bangin music
Me harías un logo?
buenas! escríbeme a joel(a)grafficants.com gracias!
ii lose the color
each color should be in a different layer.
better on mute
So in other words, don't do anything and then use a stock photo....
that's it!
Amazing tutorial. Thank you!
Great video!
thanks! :)
