This is a much needed lesson, Frannie. I have to say, your website is the best when it comes to fiber color photos. I just ordered my first Rachel Welch wig, “Winner” in creamy blonde for Spring & Summer. I do like Ellen Willa wigs too.
Yes, this is a complex color chart. This video will be a great guide when shopping for Ellen Wille. Thanks for getting their colour chart up at Frannie's Hair, and thanks for doing this video for us!
Yes! The color chart has helped me out a lot. So appreciate the website, the FB page, and these informative videos, Frannie. Thanks to you and your staff!🌸
Thank you Frannie you are the best. Understanding and choosing a color is the biggest challenge when deciding on purchasing a wig. Your explanation and site are so helpful. Your sincerity and kindness is also very much appreciated. Take care! Bye of now.
Wow, I wish I had started my wig journey with people like yourself, although it is never too late, especially considering I stick to the same few wigs that I know work. I would like to branch out with some education in my pocket and now I have it! Thank you.
Thank you! Your videos are beyond helpful, thank you for the encouragement and educated advice and wisdom regarding all the different options and colors that cause so much confusion! Love you and Bless you and your channel ❤️🙏😊
Thank you, Frannie! What a powerful tool! Especially regarding Ellen Willa who appears to cater to warmer tones. I have tossed in the towel on her trying to find a good cool brunette. Maybe this deeper dive chart will clarify more in searching her colors for a good match.
I have pearl blonde rooted in the Eclat as it is consistently described as a “cool” blonde. Ordered a second one as I wanted a backup in the same color (same wig) and it was yellow toned vs platinum and VERY warm. Jon renau 12fs8 is described as warm but I’m wearing it now as it has a mix with some neutral/ cool. This didn’t. Yellow, warm brown/ yellow rooting. So - googled this and saw Taz demonstrate the exact same thing with the same exact wig in pearl blonde rooted (I believe it was Eclat or delight) and she pointed out how one was warm and the other cool. This is frustrating as a consumer because it’s a “best guess, hope it’s what they say it is” mentality. I’ve never returned anything online as I detest the hassle but I also do a lot of research before purchasing online. Unfortunately, despite multiple videos, reviews, etc, there isn’t the consistency on the brands part to ensure they are providing what they claim. Honestly just venting. Have an Eclat that was $500+ on sale that still has the zig zag parting and sits in the closet. Did plan to return but again, didn’t make it to the post office and get it back in time. I 100% do not mind if the variation of color is different (for example, same wig may be darker/ lighter) but when it’s the wrong color tone, I look washed out and sallow/ sorta like I’m sick. Same thing with makeup only I am able to depend on makeup brands to provide the same color/ shade consistently. I’d pay quite a bit more if I was able to actually view the actual wig purchased first to ensure description matches product
I think going by the color numbers is a better way to decide if a color is cool or warm. I agree, there is no consistency with the color names...which makes it more difficult. That's the reason I did this video. If you ever need help, please feel free to reach out, Thank you for watching!💕
Great great great idea for a video Frannie. Choosing a color is the worst! Too bad I can't wear Ellen Wille. Love them. I have tried them 3 times and they just don't fit my noggin. They seem to be too short from ear to ear. I am 11". I am hope that you do the same color thing withBelle Tress or other companies. Xo
That's interesting. They fit me, and I'm 11.5" ear to ear. Yes, I plan on doing the colors for other companies as well. I think Belle Tress is much needed! Thank you for watching!💕
@@FranniesHair yes Belle Tress please. Been wearing butter beer blond and have gotten many compliment’s although it looks way different outside than inside. I sat next to a hairdresser on a plane and he complimented me on my highlights. Then finally after 2 hours asked me if it was a wig. Said the front by the part was a giveaway!
I'm a bit confused. When I bought Risk in light champagne rooted the root was so much darker than in Tab champagne rooted. And it was totally a cool color. What you have shown today is light champagne rooted which looks so much different. My purchase was 3 years ago so have they changed the colours? Ellen Wille does not include root numbers in their colour description which allows for much variation, not fair for customers. I wasted hundreds of dollars because of colour not being right and in Australia we have limited options for refunds. Love Ellen Wille styles as I have petite circumference and love short wigs but I wish they included root numbers. So frustrating, but thank you for explaining. I will still buy with lack of confidence of what I am getting
I agree. They should include root numbers. I will talk with them about it. It does make it difficult. We have a great return policy, btw. And we sell to Austrailia. As long.as you keep the wig in the condition described in our return policy, you can return it. There are no restocking fees or fees of any kind. The only cost to you is to ship it back to us. I realize this will be more for you in Australia, but at least you wouldn't be out the whole cost of the wig. Also, if you'd like to see a wig before you buy it, let me know. I can usually get you pictures...or I can review it.💕
@@FranniesHair thank you so much. It would be great if you could talk to them about this issue. And thank you for the options of sending me pictures, that would help tremendously:) have a great day
If you are talking about how they’re listed on the website, it’s usually from darkest to lightest for Ellen Wille. On other brands, it may be by color number in ascending order. I hope this helps.💕
@@FranniesHair Actually, I meant for example if you look at a wig from EW with the color code 830.27.6 would this theoretically be different from one listed as 830.6.27?
@@elanagerson878 It depends on the color distribution type. For some, like 'mixed', the colors are evenly distributed, so the order doesn't matter. I used to think the order always mattered...this was a learning experience for me too!💕
Their colors are limited not choice Someone wants dark route with brown mixed with lots of blonde highlights. You can't buy their wigs. They just don't have the right variety
Excellent. If all reviewers added "Warm, Cool or Neutral" to color descriptions, I could have saved SO much money.
I have to remember to make sure I mention that. Thank you!💕
How did you know I needed this? For me, color is way more important than the style. It can be a deal breaker. Thank you so much!!!
