Everyone in the show seems to downplay Soldier Boy's combat skill and experience. But he threw that knife specifically at his eye with near perfect accuracy.
People who can't fight or won't fight, often try to downplay the accomplishments of fighters or soldiers that they dislike or are jealous of. So I never really gave the "Nah, he's not really a soldier" jabber any thought. Soldier Boy's skills and attitude are just a bit too good and too veterany (speaking as a veteran myself) to dismiss.

As we saw with the flashback with Soldier Boy V Payback, Mindstorm can only seem to temporarily stun or weaken the more powerful superheroes, like how Neuman can't just instantly make Homelander's head go pop. And if mindstorm had trouble brainfucking SB to the point where he could only temporarily stun him for a few short seconds, what do think what will happen when he does it to Homelander who is a far stronger supe than SB?

@@buddybrickit’s for aesthetic. But not the shield. At first I wondered why he’d need a shield if he’s bulletproof, but it’s almost as durable as he is. Was able to withstand heat vision for a good long while. Which doesn’t really make sense, nothing should be that durable. It has to be made from some kind of fictional in-universe material.
Funny thing is the actor who played Negan played John Winchester who was the father of dean winchester (soldier boy actor) so you can say soldier boy has a little bit of negan

I'm not just talking about being an asshole, he was legit horrible to them. And Mindstorm only uses his powers when he feels the need to, he could have easily just killed Hughie and Butcher but he didn't, he's a sympathetic very intelligent man suffering with psychosis. He isn't a psychopath or evil person who hurts innocents

if the right supe's really would team up, it would be no problem to defeat Homelander or Soldier Boy. Of course this would make the show far to easy and uninteresting.

A normal person can't even move it. Hughie tried to lift it without having the temp v active and he couldn't even with all of his strength. Only people with super strength can, and soldier boy can with 1 hand effortlessly, so it's very heavy

I don’t understand how everyone thinks that Soldier Boy is a fraud who never actually fought. He looks pretty badass and capable to me, especially with that near-perfect knife throw from a distance. And Hughie f*cking deserved that hit. He’s lucky Soldier Boy just did that and didn’t kill him. Butcher, doll, you don’t intimidate him either. The sound design in this show is AMAZING. You can hear slowly hear the shield go from hitting and breaking down solid bone, until it eventually just becomes mush into the ground.
