- Here are some fragrances that in my opinion, have similar scent profiles as the very popular Kilian Love Don't Be Shy. I'll reveal which I think is the closest to the original Kilian Love at the end of the video. Enjoy!

Extra note: None of these are an exact dupe of Kilian Love Don't Be Shy. They just remind me of Kilian Love in one way or another and have some similarities, which I explain in the video, but aren't exact dupes of it. So...when I said a scent smells like LDBS in the video, I really meant that in my opinion, they're in the same family or have similar vibes going on. Just wanted to make it clear 😁
Also, I forgot to add that Dear Rose Song for a Queen also reminds me of Kilian Love Don't Be Shy. I have a travel size of it but forgot to include it in the video. Cheers! :D
The Zara rose marshmallow smells nothing and I mean NOTHING like Love don’t be shy. Zero! If you want something in the same range in Zara use the fleur De Orange 🍊 and the layer it with rich warm addictive. You get the orange blossom and the vanilla elements. Thank me later
An almost exact clone for love don't be shy is belayered caramel overdose. I tested them side by side yesterday, and not only is CO an almost exact clone for LDBS, it also outperformed LDBS.

I have Dossier Floral marshmallow along with a travel size LDBS. The Dossier is so good and so close to LDBS that I can’t justify a full bottle of the Kilian (on my budget lol). Dolce & Gabbana pour femme is like a subdued, boring version of LDBS. I never thought of them as similar till I was sniffing around and realized they have similarities. Also, I think Bath & Body works inadvertently duped LDBS in their PinkBerry Clouds line (now discontinued). I only realized it recently and can’t get more, lol. It smells so good layered with my LDBS travel spray and/or Dossier.
After sampling this when it was getting so much hype, all I could think of is that Love Don't Be Shy is a more delicate, balanced version of Mancera's Velvet Vanilla. Somebody mentioned Sundazed which is a citrusy version and also, Rouge Smoking from BDK. This is quite a popular mix of notes, apparently. Thanks for sharing!
Your profile picture makes me happy everytime I see it! So adorable! I've never smelled this fragrance but I've heard that Princess by Kilian is in the same family as far as the sweetness. I had a sample and I loved it, but would have only bought a full bottle if the price was under $50. I don't like the price tag that comes with Princess haha. Interesting bottle though! I have LDBS as well as Dragee and Oriana. I would like to have Sintra too but not for its similarity to LDBS. If I compare what I have, LBDS is also my favourite. In addition to the scent differences, i find that LBDS is much smoother as it dries down. Many thanks for the comparison video, Arlene!

I don’t love Love Don’t Be Shy because it’s a bit too overwhelming for me but appreciate the composition. Thank you for suggesting other similar brands with a similar scent profile 😊. Want to try out the Pin Up one from JPG.
I would love a comparison of the old and new. I have the old black bottle as well as the new and I definitely notice a difference
I only have Sintra and Love and i agree they smell very similar. I can still tell them apart, but the orange blossom and mashmallow is dominant in both. I think I'm a bit of a weirdo because I'm not a big fan of orange blossom. Perfumes with it as a domiant note are ones i tend to dislike. Love is the exception, i think because theres so much prominent marshmallow and vanilla to tone the orange blossom down. I do like Sintra too, but i find the orange blossom to be a little too prominent for my liking. I wish i liked it! Its such a popular note right now. Thanks for the comparison break down! 😊
Hello DD. I’ve recently been exposed to marshmallow scents, Kilian’s LDBS in particular, and I think I’ve fallen into a deep fragrance rabbit hole. I guess there’s a controversy w the new vs original/dark juice version of LDBS, so your thoughts about them would be interesting. Thanks Arlene.

I own Mancera Velvet Vanilla and when I sprayed LDBS it reminded me of Mancera. The difference is that Velvet Vanilla sweetness is clean, and LDBS is super powdery. I'm not good with powder bombs, had to scrub it off 😥
Pls do comparison of both formulations of Love. How do they compare one on each hand?
I like love don’t be shy and recently I have been getting a lot of perfumes that smell like it. I’d like to add Roja Reckless essence de parfums to the list it’s smell quite similar to love and oriana.

I think I would love the JPG fragrance. They seem to be one of my favorite Designer brands for fragrances. I even enjoy Le Male too. Of course I already own La Belle, but I would like to get the flankers too.
I have never tried LDBS, but i have both Oriana and Sintra. Sintra is a beast, Oriana is more smooth and close to the skin.
Ah yes, you hit on it, my favorite quality of the original LDBS is that rich caramel dry down that I think might be missing in the later clear pink bottles?? I say that because no one who reviews the newer bottles mentions anything about the caramel (or the civet) - just the orange blossom/marshmallow aspect. Anyway, the original LDBS was my favorite and I have tried so many dupe house oils trying to find an approximate fragrance with that gooey caramel and have failed. You are right though, these that you mention here are similar but not true dupes. One day when I win the lottery I would hope to find one remaining bottle of the og LDBS - wish me luck :)

yes the juice in the new bottle is lighter in color & scent. Its been reformulated. Same for black phantom as well
This is one of my favorite scent profiles I have pretty much all of the ones u mentioned🤦♀️🤪🤣 I would add that the pink one “guimauve” from Reminiscence is more similar to this fragrance vibe - also perdizone

More than any other perfume, I've had massive disappointments when it comes to "dupes", "similar/in the same vein...", "reminders", etc.,. with LDBS. People really need to learn to differentiate these very specific terms, as they are not interchangeable, and shouldn't jump the gun to conclude it's a dupe. I got Guimauve (by Reminiscence), Guimauve de Noel, Sintra, Oriana, and Neroli Blanc Intense just because somebody said it's a dupe and/or similar to LDBS and guess what? A hard NOPE! They just zeroed in on one single note - usually the orange blossom or the marshmallow (which is always weak) and called it a day. And to me, LDBS is not exactly an orange blossom perfume nor just a marshmallow perfume; LDBS is heavily sugared, buttery caramel and marshmallow and that's what I'm looking for, not just a singular note.
Nobile 1942 Perdizione is similar, Another good option is House of silage Benevolence. They come Close but not the same I prefer LDBS.
Great comparisons video! Maybe my nose isn’t as developed but LDBS just was to much of syrupy sweet flower to me. But Ironically, I absolutely LOVE Sintra. It’s a beast and I’m addicted to it LOL. I really want to sample the Reminiscence perfumes next. Oh and I thought that Princess is another lovely marshmallow. I never even noticed the Matcha Green tea in it, until one day I made a Matcha Latte while wearing it. What a lovely surprise. I love my Matcha Lattes really sweet, milky, with plenty of Vanilla 🍵🍵🍵

To me, Love don’t be shy is a decadent yet airy marshmallow and sexy bourbon vanilla scent, I LOVE it so much, it’s just so gorgeous. I also recently acquired JPG pin up and that to me is much more about the orange and the ginger. I sampled PDM oriana and having Pin Up, I think oriana would be redundant in my collection. I don’t think having love don’t be shy and either pin up OR oriana would be too redundant. Haven’t tried the others, they all sound lovely 🥰

Love don’t be shy dosen’t last on my skin😢 also i feel that dosen’t projets, i think its a little bit to expensive for that on me last around 4 h with a tiny projection.. do you think sintra will be better for me?
I find Rouge Smoking by BDK to be similar. Obviously it has cherry and not marshmallows, but I find that it has that same fluffy vanilla.
That is so interesting! For me, the cherry really dominates so I hadn't made that connection. I'll have to have another sniff :)
I haven’t smelled love don’t be shy but I think it sounds appealing. I do like the marshmallow sweetness of sintra on the dry down. But of all the choices I’m most intrigued by classified pinup. I’m just so confused by the naming of the jpg products. Are all the classiques the same with different bottles?
I think they're all versions of Classique except for the La Belle collection 😊

I really enjoy wearing LDBS, but I smell a lot of civet in it! I always feel very dirty when I wear it. Perfect clubbing scent.
In my opinion Reminiscence Dragee and LDBS are very, very, very similar, so not Guimauve but Dragee would be the perfect dupe.
I think dragee is excellent; &; the price & lasting power, is excellent, I thk - doesn't last as long as LDBS but it's good in it's own right🙏💜

I recently bought PHLUR Not Your Baby and that is an Orris Marshmallow fragrance. It is BEAUTIFUL!
And I also have a travel-size decant of BROWN GIRL JANE Casablanca and that is another beautiful marshmallow fragrance. I will for sure get the full-size hopefully on a good sale!

@@DeliciousDelights have you ever tried Orientica Melodie? It's supposed to be a dupe to Memo Paris Sintra. I haven't tried Sintra yet but it sounds lovely, plan on getting a decant soon. But I just bought Melodie! Hoping it is as beautiful and green+marshmallowy as everyone says lol
Are Oriana and Zara alike?
IMO Oriana is not worth the price. I have a decant and I just don't think it smells that expensive. I feel dupe house could probably easily clone it pretty well.

That zara kid perfumes smells like kiddy perfume. Waterdown marshmallow. My kids use it. Extremely light.

I don't understand the hype around love don't be shy. I was so excited to get it, but when I put it on, I gagged because it smells like sunblock. I don't smell anything like orange blossom, vanilla, or marshmallow. It literally smells like coppertone sunblock. It's nasty.
Every marshmallow perfume cant be love dont be shy. Princess should be in the video that is a good marshmallow note.
The Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 40, the scent of the Bom Dia body cream, smells a lot like Love don't be Shy! No marshmallow note, but has a very similar gourmand feel.
I blew through that Zara one so fast, I scared myself. 😅

Forbidden Pink by Zara ... currently available is extremely close to Rose candy marshmallow, only it lasts longer and is stronger!

They belong in the same fluffy, Marie Antoinette-esque gourmand category. Not a dupe. She explicitly stated this.

@@Emuletipsi96 I think both Guimauve & Dragee are similar; dragee is a little soapier, but the drydowns are similar. The new btls of LDBS are not great - even after you let them macerate for months; I can see why ppl go for Be Layered or others; haven't tried it, but the new LDBS is so diluted, it's a bit cheeky🤭💜🙏💜
They now use synthetic musk instead of derived from whale musk so that's why it's lighter. Yay for cruelty free!!
