Kanye west was being tested by God and when it didn't go his way, instead of praising the lord through his misfortune he decided to condemn Jesus. There's a story in the bible similar to this situation, where Job has everything taken from him and instead of yelling at The Most High God, He praises the lord and says Job 1:21 "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. [22] In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." So in other words, Kanye essentially failed to see the test and pulled a reverse Job.
I know it's sad and I tried to warn people about Kanye he didn't seem to be truly grounded in Christianity. He was saying things that just didn't make sense

Remember whenever a celebrity comes to faith. They are the ones that need God, God does not need them. People say things like if Joe Rogan became a Christian just think what God could do through him. So you know God because you read the Bible? Read Joshua 24 and explain verse 19. Jesus forgives sins, the God of Moses does not. That book has multiple Gods in it, yet people keep trying to pass it off as the word of one God.

I think as fallen, selfish, sinful creatures, the honest answer is 'for ourselves'; at least in part. God has ignited a flame in me I've never had for Him; a hunger for knowledge of Him and a deeper relationship with Him, and I was brought to faith 30 years ago. But, even as He is preparing me and doing a most wonderful work in me (for which I am immensely grateful), I don't feel comfortable saying that I have conceded to my innermost self that I am 100% in it solely for the glory of God. Self-preservation still plays an instinctual role, albeit a "walk-on" one at best these days, Praise God, but it's there nonetheless. That said, I know that I am driven- or being driven- daily in growing the Kingdom, putting "pebbles in shoes", and like a racehorse before the starting gun, raring to go when He wills I'm ready to serve & do the work for which I was created. 🙏❤️☝️✝️⛓️💥📖

Biblical prayer is worship based, not request based. The worshipper can say, "Your will be done," and joyfully accept what the sovereign Lord does with his or her request. Perhaps he failed to understand that it's not just about accepting Jesus it's about surrendering to him.

The Our Father prayer Jesus taught us contains requests for forgiveness and to not be tempted away from His will. If Kanye had prayed for strength to bear the trials and crosses God was giving him to give him the humility and strength he lacks and needs, he would have got an answer.

That's not really true, because this assertion implies that Kanye was introduced to biblical Christianity. Christ's parable was about ppl who heard _the true gospel_ , and traditional Christianity has NEVER preached that gospel. It has preached various counterfeit messages about Christ and grace. As incredible as it is to believe, it is the truth. The entire world of traditional Christianity don't know what it is, even though it thinks the gospel is about Christ.

One of the best things that happened in my life was when God told me that I could go and be an animation artist for Disney and then I could try to send money to my family for my terminally ill mom and I would miss out on the time we had left. He made it clear that I'd regret it. Or ignore the dreams for me and let go of them and I could still write and draw any where and I would be happy. I decided to put my trust in God's will. If I had left I would have been distracted by my job and be drawn away from God more and more until I turned against him! I had grown up in a church from birth and was mimicking things that I was taught and I was not saved though I believed I was. With God's grace and mercy and protection I got saved 10-09-22. I just keep thanking God for his help and support and I just pray that Kanye and others like him will come to the truth before its too late
Kanye was never a Christian. It is more clear now but for anyone who has a relationship with God and is in the word, you could always see the separation from Kanye and Gods word.

I just came on here to thank you for doing these videos, please know that what you're doing is a huge benefit. Just today I had a discussion with someone about the Bible and slavery. Usually if I'm honest I wouldn't be able to approach the situation the right way but I actually asked them to show me in the Bible what they meant. And each time we did so we looked at the context of the text then the ACTUAL meaning of the text. It got to the point they stopped quoting scripture and they just tried to go for personal jabs at which point I assesed where this was coming from and I could see that he wasn't a scoffer but someone who wanted to know but just didn't know how to defend his point without the jabs. So I brought the focus back on topic and made them see the light and they conceeded. I don't just mean conceeded but they realised what they believed was wrong so please pray that the seed that has been sown God will develop into a tree for his kingdom! This is only after 2 WEEKS of watching your videos. God bless you and please know, what you are imparting in us (those of us who will really hear what you're trying to teach and what I believe God wants us to know) will be able to stand not just on but FOR the truth the right way.🙏🏾
Kanye is a visionary at heart. That said, a vision other than his own is likely a massive struggle to submit to, align with, and trust in. I have no idea how wholesome his discipleship was or wasn't, but it sounds as though he sees faith and work as seperate while believing that "godly fear" and "fear of man" are the same. I pray that he's convicted by the Spirit to dive deeper into the Word as neither music, nor intellectualism, nor the world can give what he appears to be searching for. @@SpiritDetective-jd7wx I have a brain tumor which was malignant and every neurologist I have seen if they removed the entire brain tumor, I would be a wheelchair. I did have radiation on it which was not successful nut I also had brain surgery where the neurosurgeon successfully removed some of the tumor.

The one thing I feel it was lacking is how prevalent the little god theology is preached from the pulpit (more videos on this subject matter would help the body of Christ). Around 3:40 I think Kanye said "work" not word, and its just how he pronounced it is the confusion. He does go on to say next that Christians pray instead of physically doing something, and how when God didn't answer him he will do it himself, so it's most likely "work" not "word.

It's relatable... two years of praying and reading the Bible, listening seremons ever night before sleep, forgiving all those who have offended me, sharing the gospel helping those in need has gotten me absolutely no where, im just as alone and depressed, without any hope for better future, but the Christian advice is that im not bringing glory to God and i should just say Jesus saved me from this and that.. yeah he sure took away my drink and my weed so i have literally no enjoyment in life... happy life has nothing to do with the bible but some people just think its got something to do with it, its really depressing book tbh..

You mentioned using substances to "have fun", but I'm sure you have other/healthier interests. Maybe looking to join a community organized around a shared interest can help you fight off the isolation and loneliness. In Genesis, God created Eve because it wasn't good for Adam, who had all mankind in him, to be alone. So He created a creature similar to Adam, yet different from him so they could go through life together. Hopefully, finding a good tribe will help with one part of the problem. Take care.

Sometimes God not answering is the only answer we need. Looking back in my life if God would have granted my wish I would have been in a much worse place hindsight. His ways are not our way and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He does what he does for our best and benefit. Thank God that He sees the whole picture and not what I’m seeing right in front of me.
I get the desire to correct every theological error in the effort to be biblically accurate. I believe that there is a time and place for that, especially when a person sincerely believes what they are purporting. However, when I hear Kanye, as a pastor I am hearing someone that wasn't properly discipled, someone that's been disillusioned, and ultimately someone that's broken. I'm listening for the metanarrative that addressing the roots and heart issues from which the mouth speaks. I doubt that he is speaking from conviction but rather from hurt and emotions (which change with time). I condemn his speech and proclamation about being god, speaking against the biblical understanding of the fear of God, and his angst against a form of "Christianity" that isn't rooted in Jesus and his gospel. Those things are all wrong and should be corrected. I just think that what the church needs to learn is how to reach, connect (build healthy relationship with), and gently restore people that are in sin.
My thoughts of him and his understanding of a Christian. I see him as wanting to have power over his everyday choices and he sees weakness in following Christ and the teachings because then he may have to feel remorse for things he has done or wants to do.

“Father, not my will, but yours” Jesus prayed this in the garden before he was arrested and I try to remember this every time I go to the Lord in prayer. Sometimes, God answer to our request is no. It can be hard to accept at times but I know that God’s plans are bigger and better than mine.
The segment where Kanye states that people rely too much on Jesus he says that they don't put the "work in" which the Holy Bible also talks about. Basically, waiting for Jesus to do things that God has given us the ability to handle with assistance from our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Now don't get me wrong, this means that we have to be actively seeking God and building our relationship daily with him by reading his word and asking for God to give us discernment to understand what we are reading and how it applies to our own ups and downs. At the end of the day, we have to continuously pray for these individuals and do what we need to do so that we don't get drawn into this dangerous way of thinking.
Kanye’s consistency is about what you’d expect from someone with his mental illnesses. He needs less people trying to exploit him and more people who care enough to pray for him and give him guidance. Of course it’s hard to receive guidance when you have such an ego.
I'm just shy of 5 mins in. You can not pray your way out of consequences or the experience God has for you. Bottom line is he has presented to have no faith. He wants God to give him what Kanye wants, and that's not happening because you don't command God. He has to grow up and read the word more.
Kanye reminds me of the rich young ruler. “I will do whatever you tell me Jesus.” But when God says No or something unexpected, he walks away. Hopefully God changes his heart, that’s the only way any of us can boast of our salvation, thru God.

It sounded to me like he said, “We depend so much on Jesus that we don’t put the WORK in, ourselves.” Sounded like he clarified it when in his next sentence he said something about how we say , “I’ll pray for you,” when we could be actually, physically DOING something. That’s how I heard it, anyway. But I agree, Kanye is a nut shy of a squirrel’s stash and he definitely needs a whole lotta prayer.
He said he is the God of his own life.. so I assume he meant he is in charge of his own life and outcomes. Which is sad not to trust in our creator whatever we go through in this world. We need to keep our eyes fixed on our eternity with him and rejoice in him because by his grace this is given

I think some of Kanye's statements show an unfortunate lack of discipleship, which we as pastors and teachers, have generally failed at over the past few decades.
Assuming he was actually discipled by a true follower of Jesus Christ, but wait, even if he was, does it mean that it was the fault of his teacher? Or, was/is Kanye a Judas all along? Just a thought.

Sadly, he only responded to one comment and it wasn't really to engage just to reiterate he thinks God is a horrible monster for old testament atrocities. I've watched enough of his videos to realize he will take the time to like nearly every comment that agrees with him but it's rare to see him respond to a challenge. @@someguywithalowbudget1320 I’m not sure if Trent Horn has directly addressed him, but I’m pretty sure that some of his points may be addressed. I honestly think that a lot of issues come from evangelicalism in particular, which can sometimes try to oversimplify things that cannot be and end up creating more problems than solutions that can easily be poked in (eg the penal substitution of the cross. IMO the Orthodox view of it is the only truly valid explanation for why Jesus had to die). Tbh i am also now sometimes wary of RUclips apologists (although they are generally okay), because sometimes the correct answer to dilemmas such as faith vs works, and gospel discrepancies are not rooted in Protestant sola scriptura, which might get some of their audience upset. The church fathers to discuss the OT and why certain things happen, but that involves an authoritative interpretation that can clash against the worldview of some RUclips apologists. And tbh, I am still Christian, I believe that history does affirm and attest to Jesus, but I am unsure what to make of this tendency they have sometimes. Do they want biblical truth no matter the implications, or do they want truth as long as it doesn’t clash with evangelical tenets?
What many Christians fail to realize is that we have to stop thinking that all we have to do is pray for things to go our way just by praying and waiting for God to do everything for us. It does not work that way. I personally know people who do absolutely nothing and are miserable (being Christian) and bad-mouthing God because life hasn't changed for the better. I'm guilty of doing the same thing. God gave us legs and arms and a brain. God always provides a way but we have to do some work. We have to discern God's way of helping us but ultimately, it is up to us and what we do or don't do that determines either a change or not. We are not supposed to sit around waiting for miracles to fall on our laps. We have to go out and believe we are going to get where we want to go and our actions will bring things to fruition. I am saddened about Kanye and everyone else who thought they put their trust in Jesus and expected Jesus to be their servant. Jesus is Lord, and we are NOT. Perhaps Kanye misunderstood the truth of Jesu as Lord or King to mean that Jesus would always come to our beckon call when we prayed. And it is EASY to fall into that false theology. And many pastors make us feel that God is there to serve our needs. No matter what we pray for, Jesus will give it to us. Wow - a quick read through James' letter will straighten us out. There are times to pray supplications asking the Lord for His help and there are times when our prayers are statements of faith in God's Word where we take authority over the wiles of the enemy and stand, trusting in God's Word and promises. And our prayers must be in alignment with God's will. Faith is characterized by TRUST in the authority of God's Word and our obedience to that Word - in our thoughts, desires and our deeds. Faith is NOT a by-word to use but an actual way of life. If Kanye really came to the Lord, he was a babe in Christ but the people around him made him believe that his talent, fame and money were things that the Lord depended on for God's plans and purpose. God doesn't NEED us but He graciously allows us to share in His plans, and depending on our level of maturity in Christ, He will share more of His Ways and purposes with us. As we grow in the Lord, then we are allowed to see more of God's spiritual truths. If we remain puffed up, He shuns us until we learn what obedience and trust is. I pray for Kanye and everyone I know that has this "false Jesus" as their God - a Jesus who is their servant and not their Loving Lord and Savior.

I think as fallen, selfish, sinful creatures, the honest answer is 'for ourselves'; at least in part. God has ignited a flame in me I've never had for Him; a hunger for knowledge of Him and a deeper relationship with Him, and I was brought to faith 30 years ago. But, even as He is preparing me and doing a most wonderful work in me (for which I am immensely grateful), I don't feel comfortable saying that I have conceded to my innermost self that I am 100% in it solely for the glory of God. Biblical prayer is worship based, not request based. The worshipper can say, "Your will be done," and joyfully accept what the sovereign Lord does with his or her request. Perhaps he failed to understand that it's not just about accepting Jesus it's about surrendering to him.
❤ sort of. The word prayer literally meant request so that is what the writers of the Bible meant. The Psalms are words of worship. The Our Father prayer Jesus taught us contains requests for forgiveness and to not be tempted away from His will.

That's not really true, because this assertion implies that Kanye was introduced to biblical Christianity. Christ's parable was about ppl who heard _the true gospel_ , and traditional Christianity has NEVER preached that gospel. It has preached various counterfeit messages about Christ and grace. As incredible as it is to believe, it is the truth. The entire world of traditional Christianity don't know what it is, even though it thinks the gospel is about Christ.

One of the best things that happened in my life was when God told me that I could go and be an animation artist for Disney and then I could try to send money to my family for my terminally ill mom and I would miss out on the time we had left.
He made it clear that I'd regret it. Or ignore the dreams for me and let go of them and I could still write and draw any where and I would be happy. I decided to put my trust in God's will.
If I had left I would have been distracted by my job and be drawn away from God more and more until I turned against him! I had grown up in a church from birth and was mimicking things that I was taught and I was not saved though I believed I was. With God's grace and mercy and protection I got saved 10-09-22.

I just came on here to thank you for doing these videos, please know that what you're doing is a huge benefit. Just today I had a discussion with someone about the Bible and slavery. Usually if I'm honest I wouldn't be able to approach the situation the right way but I actually asked them to show me in the Bible what they meant. And each time we did so we looked at the context of the text then the ACTUAL meaning of the text. It got to the point they stopped quoting scripture and they just tried to go for personal jabs at which point I assesed where this was coming from and I could see that he wasn't a scoffer but someone who wanted to know but just didn't know how to defend his point without the jabs. So I brought the focus back on topic and made them see the light and they conceeded. I don't just mean conceeded but they realised what they believed was wrong so please pray that the seed that has been sown God will develop into a tree for his kingdom!

Kanye is a visionary at heart. That said, a vision other than his own is likely a massive struggle to submit to, align with, and trust in. I have no idea how wholesome his discipleship was or wasn't, but it sounds as though he sees faith and work as seperate while believing that "godly fear" and "fear of man" are the same. I did have radiation on it which was not successful nut I also had brain surgery where the neurosurgeon successfully removed some of the tumor.

Kanye is speaking of the “other” Jesus people are worshipping - the same one the True Jesus our Savior warned us about in Matthew 24. It seems Kanye is toting some serious demons. We all need to pray for Kanye to find a true fear of the Lord so He can come to true salvation.

Around 3:40 I think Kanye said "work" not word, and its just how he pronounced it is the confusion. He does go on to say next that Christians pray instead of physically doing something, and how when God didn't answer him he will do it himself, so it's most likely "work" not "word.

It's relatable... two years of praying and reading the Bible, listening seremons ever night before sleep, forgiving all those who have offended me, sharing the gospel helping those in need has gotten me absolutely no where, im just as alone and depressed, without any hope for better future, but the Christian advice is that im not bringing glory to God and i should just say Jesus saved me from this and that.. yeah he sure took away my drink and my weed so i have literally no enjoyment in life... happy life has nothing to do with the bible but some people just think its got something to do with it, its really depressing book tbh..

If I may ask, what passions and talents do you have in life ? You mentioned using substances to "have fun", but I'm sure you have other/healthier interests. Maybe looking to join a community organized around a shared interest can help you fight off the isolation and loneliness. In Genesis, God created Eve because it wasn't good for Adam, who had all mankind in him, to be alone. So He created a creature similar to Adam, yet different from him so they could go through life together. Hopefully, finding a good tribe will help with one part of the problem. Take care.

Sometimes God not answering is the only answer we need. Looking back in my life if God would have granted my wish I would have been in a much worse place hindsight.
His ways are not our way and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He does what he does for our best and benefit. Thank God that He sees the whole picture and not what I’m seeing right in front of me.
I get the desire to correct every theological error in the effort to be biblically accurate. I believe that there is a time and place for that, especially when a person sincerely believes what they are purporting. However, when I hear Kanye, as a pastor I am hearing someone that wasn't properly discipled, someone that's been disillusioned, and ultimately someone that's broken. I'm listening for the metanarrative that addressing the roots and heart issues from which the mouth speaks. I doubt that he is speaking from conviction but rather from hurt and emotions (which change with time). I condemn his speech and proclamation about being god, speaking against the biblical understanding of the fear of God, and his angst against a form of "Christianity" that isn't rooted in Jesus and his gospel. Those things are all wrong and should be corrected. I just think that what the church needs to learn is how to reach, connect (build healthy relationship with), and gently restore people that are in sin.

Talking about the fear of the Lord you read Proverbs 14:26, but 27 is also really spectacular.
“Father, not my will, but yours” Jesus prayed this in the garden before he was arrested and I try to remember this every time I go to the Lord in prayer. Sometimes, God answer to our request is no. It can be hard to accept at times but I know that God’s plans are bigger and better than mine.
The segment where Kanye states that people rely too much on Jesus he says that they don't put the "work in" which the Holy Bible also talks about. Basically, waiting for Jesus to do things that God has given us the ability to handle with assistance from our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Now don't get me wrong, this means that we have to be actively seeking God and building our relationship daily with him by reading his word and asking for God to give us discernment to understand what we are reading and how it applies to our own ups and downs. At the end of the day, we have to continuously pray for these individuals and do what we need to do so that we don't get drawn into this dangerous way of thinking.

Kanye’s consistency is about what you’d expect from someone with his mental illnesses. He needs less people trying to exploit him and more people who care enough to pray for him and give him guidance. Of course it’s hard to receive guidance when you have such an ego.
I'm just shy of 5 mins in. You can not pray your way out of consequences or the experience God has for you. Bottom line is he has presented to have no faith. He wants God to give him what Kanye wants, and that's not happening because you don't command God. He has to grow up and read the word more.
Kanye reminds me of the rich young ruler. “I will do whatever you tell me Jesus.” But when God says No or something unexpected, he walks away. Hopefully God changes his heart, that’s the only way any of us can boast of our salvation, thru God.

It sounded to me like he said, “We depend so much on Jesus that we don’t put the WORK in, ourselves.” Sounded like he clarified it when in his next sentence he said something about how we say , “I’ll pray for you,” when we could be actually, physically DOING something. That’s how I heard it, anyway. But I agree, Kanye is a nut shy of a squirrel’s stash and he definitely needs a whole lotta prayer.

Question is why do we care at all what Kanye has to say or what he thinks. Should we consider what he thinks and what he says just because he is famous? I don't think so. He is just like the rest of us. I do agree with you on the point that we should pray for each other.
I think some of Kanye's statements show an unfortunate lack of discipleship, which we as pastors and teachers, have generally failed at over the past few decades.
Assuming he was actually discipled by a true follower of Jesus Christ, but wait, even if he was, does it mean that it was the fault of his teacher? Or, was/is Kanye a Judas all along? Just a thought.

I've made some replies on his videos although I'm not a "RUclipsr" because I thought he was genuinely interested in getting answers to his questions. Sadly, he only responded to one comment and it wasn't really to engage just to reiterate he thinks God is a horrible monster for old testament atrocities. I've watched enough of his videos to realize he will take the time to like nearly every comment that agrees with him but it's rare to see him respond to a challenge. His followers occasionally will though.

I honestly think that a lot of issues come from evangelicalism in particular, which can sometimes try to oversimplify things that cannot be and end up creating more problems than solutions that can easily be poked in (eg the penal substitution of the cross. IMO the Orthodox view of it is the only truly valid explanation for why Jesus had to die).
Tbh i am also now sometimes wary of RUclips apologists (although they are generally okay), because sometimes the correct answer to dilemmas such as faith vs works, and gospel discrepancies are not rooted in Protestant sola scriptura, which might get some of their audience upset. The church fathers to discuss the OT and why certain things happen, but that involves an authoritative interpretation that can clash against the worldview of some RUclips apologists. And tbh, I am still Christian, I believe that history does affirm and attest to Jesus, but I am unsure what to make of this tendency they have sometimes. Do they want biblical truth no matter the implications, or do they want truth as long as it doesn’t clash with evangelical tenets?

What many Christians fail to realize is that we have to stop thinking that all we have to do is pray for things to go our way just by praying and waiting for God to do everything for us. It does not work that way. I personally know people who do absolutely nothing and are miserable (being Christian) and bad-mouthing God because life hasn't changed for the better. I'm guilty of doing the same thing. God gave us legs and arms and a brain. God always provides a way but we have to do some work. We have to discern God's way of helping us but ultimately, it is up to us and what we do or don't do that determines either a change or not. We are not supposed to sit around waiting for miracles to fall on our laps. We have to go out and believe we are going to get where we want to go and our actions will bring things to fruition. I am saddened about Kanye and everyone else who thought they put their trust in Jesus and expected Jesus to be their servant. Jesus is Lord, and we are NOT. Perhaps Kanye misunderstood the truth of Jesu as Lord or King to mean that Jesus would always come to our beckon call when we prayed. And it is EASY to fall into that false theology. And many pastors make us feel that God is there to serve our needs. No matter what we pray for, Jesus will give it to us. Wow - a quick read through James' letter will straighten us out. There are times to pray supplications asking the Lord for His help and there are times when our prayers are statements of faith in God's Word where we take authority over the wiles of the enemy and stand, trusting in God's Word and promises. And our prayers must be in alignment with God's will.
Faith is characterized by TRUST in the authority of God's Word and our obedience to that Word - in our thoughts, desires and our deeds. Faith is NOT a by-word to use but an actual way of life. If Kanye really came to the Lord, he was a babe in Christ but the people around him made him believe that his talent, fame and money were things that the Lord depended on for God's plans and purpose. God doesn't NEED us but He graciously allows us to share in His plans, and depending on our level of maturity in Christ, He will share more of His Ways and purposes with us. As we grow in the Lord, then we are allowed to see more of God's spiritual truths. If we remain puffed up, He shuns us until we learn what obedience and trust is. I pray for Kanye and everyone I know that has this "false Jesus" as their God - a Jesus who is their servant and not their Loving Lord and Savior.

So many people think when God answers their prayers with a No, or a Wait, it means He "Didn't answer my prayers. " So, God doesn't exist.
"I had to get up and do it myself. " Um, Gos almost always makes us DO something. He opens the doors, creates the contacts, and makes the possibilities possible. Kayne makes the same mistakes most of the world makes. He takes God, and ALL of his blessings, for granted. Hopefully, he will open his eyes before it's too late.

It’s kinda like saying I don’t eat food and I don’t drink any beverages especially water and I’m gonna live to be 100 without nourishing my body… I’m pretty sure that’s not gonna workout very well for him and if Heaven is the throne of The God of Israel and the Bible is true (and I’m convinced that it is) then preferring his own ways and not seeking the ways that the God of the Bible has set for humanity will end up with him in hot water…pun intended. We should pray for him as it’s what the saved are called to do.
