The submission to the state authority is NOT unconditional. Read the book of Daniel sometime, or maybe Exodus, Esther, Jeremiah, Samuel and Saul, Joseph and Herod, John and Herod etc. If the authority goes against what God commands us to do, we are absolutely to do God's commandments first
Should we obey God or man? “But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.” Acts 4:19 NKJV You need to be very careful with messages like this and it always needs to be balanced with this.

Nate, I’d like to say this. This vid made me think of a quote that is attributed to John Calvin; “When God wants to judge a nation, He gives them wicked rulers.” I gave a hearty ‘Amen’ to that and forwarded it on. I have been among those proclaiming America is likely at least the Daughter of Babylon and deserves nothing but God’s judgment. But then God gave me insight into God’s desire to be called upon so that He can show His glory, and that the last four years have been instrumental in awakening a sleeping Church in this country. I have balanced the idea of a turning back to God in our nation against what I understand of Revelation and just where we are in God’s timeline, and I assumed we had a handle on it and knew what chess piece would be played next. But our thoughts are not God’s thoughts, and His ways are higher than our ways. He has micro-moves we cannot see bcz we are trying to see the macro. I still fall back on my Bible mantra, “Thy will be done;” but I have greater peace in resting in that will.

Jesus is Lord. Our "leaders" are His tools. No one knows His plans in full. Continue to pray. May the Lord watch over our incoming administration. Let us continue to pray for salvation for those that don't know Him and sanctification for those that do. 🙏🏽✝️🇺🇸💜😇
The Lord is controlling ALL the affairs of man. The Christian's job is to look to and trust the Lord. He has installed EVERY leader since time began! He uses these rulers to accomplish His will!
I watched this before and after the election, kind of by accident, but I wasn't afraid. I trust God. I do need the reminder to default to respect. I really do want to live as peacefully as possible without compromising the truth.
I believe that just like God has handed people over to their sinful desires... we have 2 idols on opposite ends... the love of money on one side and the having many gods and making them all equal on the other. I'm for King Jesus. And by casting a vote for either seems to be a not trusting God thing...as both sides aren't very aligned with the Bible... But I'll pray for whoever is in office as that is something I do feel IS in alignment with what Jesus would want. Either side wins is a reality that the harvest is ready and the workers are few.... God's Only Son Permits Eternal Life! 😇🙏💪
No candidate is biblically aligned. You have to pick the one who is more close to Jesus, no perfect person has existed since Jesus. An at length discussion and true thought on the issue is absolutely required, and you will be held responsible for the actions (or inaction) you take. One worships money and other many gods? That's an odd take. I don't think that this is a true thing to say, and we sinning when we are not honest. I agree wholeheartedly that Christ is King. We need to extend goodness and restrict unrighteousness where we can, and select our leaders using discernment. One political party is literally mostly Christian, and one claims that it is antithetical to their party since it inhibits other religions and worldviews, that it is ethnocentric to make such claims that one has the answers that others do not. Christ is the answer, regardless of the culture (and thank God for that, I'm Nordic and my ancestors believed and did reprehensible things before the Good News). Make your own decision, but if you do not appropriately pay mind to conceptions regarding large decisions, like 1/3 the power of a national government over >300 million people, then you will be held responsible for your hasty action or inaction. The man who tried to catch the ark to prevent its hitting the ground was struck dead, and James 4:17 says it is sin when one knows the right thing, yet doesn't do it. Think hard about your decision, and let the Holy Spirit guide you.
@Debt-tective that ark was to be carried on the shoulders of man... I think God allowed the cart for a bit...but just like God doesn't NEED humans to help Him.. I think He made a point. But yeah. What I meant with the many gods thing were equality for all and just trying to win the vote on mushy relativism... can't we all just get along and help me stick to the meanie Trump.... seems to be her routine.
@rockstarburne Trump has always been a financial guy. Maybe a stronghold. Only God knows his heart. Harris wants to just be a people pleaser and seemingly lump all the genders and all the religions and all the followers and non followers and create a big happy family with equality for all... sounds good in theory...but while depending on the context of light and dark and what relationship they have...whether the light exposes the darkness and also lights up the better path to travel..the darkness can also not want its deeds exposed. She just seems to play the victim card as well as the boss woman card at the same time....just my $.02
Massive Amen to your comment at about 29:20 min nate. This video was great and well balanced. Thankyou for your ministry. Please pray for our government in the UK 😉
But what if the person that gets elected doesn't believe in the constitution and is actively working to abolish it? If the person that won't wins, are we to still follow them even though we morally don't agree?
This was great. A lot to think about, to be sure. Let's stay focused on eternity & our mission here "while it is still day." The harvest is still ripe. To being willing to be wielded. Thanks again, Wise Disciple.
How does this not extend to, "you have to stay with that abusive husband. Submit when he beats you. God put him in authority over you"? And what about abusive controlling parents? Am I ever adult enough to get out from under their oppressive thumbs?
Hello Pastor Nate I have a question about something you frequently say. In fact many preachers say it. I have no idea why they say it given its precise meaning. "Amen?" My question is probably more about the question mark than the actual word. "Amen" is the highest form of agreement in God's word and a statement of trust/faith in the word the Lord. It had a slightly different meeting in the Old Testament so I'm referring more to the New Testament meaning. Why do people use it (Amen) as a question? It's a statement of utmost faith in agreement so how can it ever be a question? It's like the way people use the word 'right" almost unconsciously at the end of a sentences as a filler or perhaps as a way of saying "Do you agree with me"? Since it's not a question I believe it should never be used as a question. I encourage you to do a word study on this. The one that I am familiar with talks about the Hebrew word "amen" as the utmost to trust the word of God. "Batak" to lean on as on a staff and finally "Hasa" to run for shelter. What are your thoughts?
4:12 I’m looking at the verse (3) on the screen. So, I’m asking genuinely… I’m not trying to be adversarial or antagonistic… if “rulers are not a terror to good conduct”, why then are people being arrested for praying silently outside abortion clinics? Is it because the wages of sin are death? I’m missing something, here. Definitely wrestling with it! Praying for clarity, discernment, understanding, & wisdom. 🙏✝️
This is my thoughts too. I don't see how "not a terror on good conduct" applies Given what you have said and that there are states where they'll take your kids away from you if you don't subscribe to gender ideology and allow your children to fall into that.
I was reading another comment by @Offsides09 about what we should do when our government is doing the opposite of protecting the innocent. I then read this comment. I don’t have a good answer to either one because I was asking about the Antichrist and the one world government while watching this video. I DO, however, know that God placed upon my heart Dani’el, Hananyah, Misha’el, and Azaryah (Hebrew names of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego). They were all arrested and were sentenced to death by the earthly sovereign, but God saved Dani’el from the mouths of the lions and the others from a fire lit 7x hotter. Their deaths at the hand of the earthly sovereign wasn’t part of God’s will, but their arrests were. Hopefully in their arrests and death sentences others came to know the power of the Almighty. I’m sure this didn’t help much, but would love to see what others say, too.
Thank you for sharing this. I needed this on multiple levels. I have a situation that that this spoke to. Love you brother, I've been blessed by so many of your vids
Thank you, Nate, for your wise words in this matter. So many people in my life have become high strung because of the election and I admit that I was falling into that trap too. But this has really helped put into perspective how we as Christians should approach the results of the election. I was listening to Gavin Ortland on Pints with Aquinas talk about how the persecution of Christians in today's day and age is nothing compared to the persecution the Christians faced in the past. That in tandem with this video has really helped me with my stress and anxiety over the election. Thank you, Nate. And God bless.

Nate, thank you for centering this entire video around the sovereignty of God! Jesus is on the throne and Christ is King over the heavens and the earth! May our trust in the Lord grow ever deeper. Oh great God, help our unbelief! ❤️🙏
Thank you Nate, this was excellent and an appreciated reminder that God is in control.
I’m not a theologian but I use logic and all this sermon is what I’ve been saying for the past decade. I never like Trump but I accepted God’s will. My church and husband, trump’s supporters openly talk in the church about politics and I feel uncomfortable because I think is not the spiritual way to address this as Christians. I told my husband that they cannot kick democrats out of church just because they don’t like Trump. Please vote as your civic duty but stop bigotry and don’t talk politics in churches if you have a bias heart.
Love this message! You and Vodie nailed it. We have to trust God and his choices even when he doesn't choose what we want!
This is really the best exposition of Romans 13 I have heard. Thanks for sharing,
Wonderful prayer Nate1❤❤❤ may the Lord make ready all those who are his. My we all rise to the fulfilment of his purpose.
Thank you so much Nate. This was so needed. Praying that the Lord keep you on the narrow path.
I wish I could give this video 100 thumbs up! ❤
I was just discussing Exodus 5 and 6 with my husband this morning. Our view of how things are playing out, like Moses', is not necessarily the same as God's. Good, good reminders for today and the days to come. His Will and Plans will prevail.
Yes, I voted!
Greatings from Germany Brother Nate,
this message comes at the right time for me. I need to repent for my lack of trust in god an his ways for me. Thank you for your service and may god bless you and your country no matter how this election turns out.
Come oh Jesus Come 🙌
Thank you Jesus for clarity. I too was struggling with this verse. I will put my trust in the Lord.
Thank you Nate for such a pastoral word to us.
This was a good one, Wise Disciple. Great explanation for some very confusing events in our world today.
Thank you for posting this, Nate. I wish I had seen it the day it was posted, but I'll share it a week late anyway. Great dive into Romans 13.
Thanks especially for the prayera at the end, Nate. I kneeled down in prayer for not only the US but for the rest of the world so that more sheep can be guided to our Good Shepard, Jesus Christ, for His glory. I am following Jesus all the way- for He is the only way - even to the jail with you, Nate. God bless you, and God have mercy on us. In Christ.
This is incredibly good! Worthy of sharing to a people that are hearing. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you so much. This is spot on and so timely. Praise God!
Im down with,, we all go to jail together,, because, if my rights are so infringed upon
That I can not worship my God, with a family of believers and speak of him, openly in public, that I am a child of God, a servent of my king, to my death, faithful to the end..!! Amen.! Should God be willing..?? If I should be arrested for committing any of these acts that I will continue to do,, to the glory of MY God, MY LORD, MY SAVIOR, MY MASTER,AND MY KING because of powers that be ruling over our land. That I should be arrested,, then,, SO BE IT.!! AMEN.!!AND, IF IT SHOULD COME TO THE worst-case THAT A LAW IS ENFORCED THAT I MUST BOW TO ANOTHER GOD,,,? I WILL NOT.!! WORSHIP ANY other, so-called, god, OTHER THAN THE CREATER OF OUR EARTH AND OUR ENTIRE UNIVERSE..
I WILL STAND ON IT.!
I WILL NOT BOW TO ANOTHER.! GOD HELP ME TO STAND FOR YOU ALWAYS..!! NOMATTER
WHAT... HERE'S MY OATH,,::**I PRAY, I'LL,
NEVER BACK UP..
NEVER BACK DOWN..

FAITHFUL TO THE END!
Wonderful message!! Thank you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Nate. We’ll done! We all needed to hear this message. God bless
Amen. Thank you for this amazing message. God be with us and may his will be done.❤
Yes! Thank you Nate for this video. God bless you
Jesus is Lord. Our "leaders" are His tools. No one knows His plans in full. Continue to pray. May the Lord watch over our incoming administration. Let us continue to pray for salvation for those that don't know Him and sanctification for those that do. 🙏🏽✝️🇺🇸💜😇
I listened live at work, and it was a big blessing, thanks Nate! Keep up the good work!
Also it looks like my channel had been unsubscribed somehow, so that may be related to why notifications haven't been going through.
Conservatives in California 2024
The Lord is controlling ALL the affairs of man. The Christian's job is to look to and trust the Lord. He has installed EVERY leader since time began! He uses these rulers to accomplish His will!
I watched this before and after the election, kind of by accident, but I wasn't afraid. I trust God. I do need the reminder to default to respect. I really do want to live as peacefully as possible without compromising the truth.
Excellent message my brother!
😇🙏💪
Neither candidate is biblically aligned :(
No candidate is biblically aligned.
Are you suggesting that those descriptipns describe the candidates, because im not seeing your connections in reality
She just seems to play the victim card as well as the boss woman card at the same time....just my $.02
Thank you for this!! What a great break down and Baucham is always a good listen! Blessings to you and yours from our Creator and Savior ♥️
Thank you for this message today
Thank you for this message! Voted today and praying for our country.
Great reminder from God's Word! Thank you!
Thank you for having the courage to speak the truth.
I needed this! God bless you brother Nate. You truly make a difference day in and day out.
I so needed to hear this thank you.
Great video Nate, thanks for doing what you do!!
Thank you for teaching the Truth ❤❤❤ I appreciate you.😊
This was great. A lot to think about, to be sure.
Let's stay focused on eternity & our mission here "while it is still day." The harvest is still ripe. To being willing to be wielded.
Thanks again, Wise Disciple.
Yep that’s about right. God will appoint our candidate.
That was awesome. Thank you.
Amen!!! Thank you, Brother Nate!
How does this not extend to, "you have to stay with that abusive husband. Submit when he beats you. God put him in authority over you"? And what about abusive controlling parents? Am I ever adult enough to get out from under their oppressive thumbs?
God’s got this.
Hello Pastor Nate
I have a question about something you frequently say. In fact many preachers say it. I have no idea why they say it given its precise meaning.
"Amen?"
My question is probably more about the question mark than the actual word.
Nate, you have no idea how often the idea of running for any level of office has been on my mind and heart.
Thank you, Nate!
Commenting so I can come back to this.
Amen, Nate. I needed this.
Thank you for sharing this. I needed this on multiple levels. I have a situation that that this spoke to.
Love you brother, I've been blessed by so many of your vids
Not what I wanted to hear today but what God needed me to hear today. Thank you Nate for your videos and you couldn’t have timed this better.
Great message. Thanks.
Andrew from Iowa!! Nate is so great, not of himself but by Christ! Love it. thank you for this stream
Thank you amen 🎉powerful message and learned a lot
Thank you for this.
Thank you 😅I feel like such a weight on my shoulders to do the Christian thing , all glory to God!
Great video, Nate. I was going to use these same verses in my RUclips video. Trust in Jesus!
Gracias hermano!!!!! Such a great exhortation, such a great teachings!!!
Just finished voting! Everyone pray and do your part! God Bless!
Amen - God Bless you Nate.
I'm behind you with the big amen
