Look at that beautiful soil you’ve got there.. By us here it’s 50% rocks and clay. It’s a great tool, I wish I could use it on our land. Thanks for sharing bro!!
That will be so helpful for y’all! I know your viewers would like to see you do a timed comparison using a shovel so we can see how much faster it really is. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for another good one.
If you had more flow and settings a lil different it may be ok. In the current config it’s a no go for me. I would have to either buy or rent a trencher or a mini skid steer. I have used the mini with a trencher many many times and I also use them to dig out under houses
So we have the same power tractor and I have learned very quickly that you want a 40 plus horsepower to be efficient using the mover or tiller or back hoe. Low range will get jobs done but you have to be very patient or you will break your tractor. You can rent a smaller trencher that works way better!!!
Does that go down more than 24"? Looks good. I actually like the chain going slower - especially if you have to work around existing lines in the ground.. Patience is not a bad thing.
Awesome little tool. Looking at the specs it says min flow is 7gpm. If in correct my tym t25 3rd function is around 9gpm so could we just use it on the front loader with the 3rd function ? I think that would be much more comfortable operation and would take away the extra cost for the 3 point attachment.
@@TonysTractorAdventure are you going to try and front mount it and run it off the 3rd function. I think having the chain run off the third function buttons and the up down be controlled with the loader would be awesome.
I have a TYM T25, also. The hydraulic flow specs in the manual show 4.17 gpm available for equipment, which will be the most you can get, whether via the 3rd function in the front or with rear remotes in the back. But I like the idea of being able to see what I'm trenching without straining my neck.
Looks like it cuts a nice trench, but slow compared to the rental units I've had to install sprinkler systems. The 2515 only has 4 gpm implement flow, but the 474 has 7.66 gpm. Would the 474 cut the ditch faster?
That's another attachment that would be a rental yard deal....definitely wouldn't want to buy one they're ridiculously expensive for the occasional use tractor owner...companies make one that goes on the front of a skid steer which to me would be a little easier to use I think, given it is in front of the machine rather than behind it....possibly a machine like a Ditch Witch would be better all around especially if you want to work in someone's yard, even a tractor is gonna tear stuff up if you aren't careful. I have dug a lot of trenches/ditches over the years but have never had a machine, its all been done with a shovel LOL.
Why? it worked fine on the little 25hp. It is an alternative, but the way it is set up, it will never keep up with a $100k skid steer. I am sure my 50hp tractor would do better, but I was happy with it on the 25hp.
It is a 25 HP Tractor. That is as fast as it will go on such a small platform. I was making a point. It works and did well. Faster damages thing faster too.
Baumalite gives you all the cool toys to play with.
Thanks again for sharing your experience with us great video mate and God bless you you all and your family mate.
Our pleasure!
Ditch Witch has some competition now. 😎 Very nice trencher, Tony! Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to see it in action again!
I will try it on our bigger tractor soon

We're blessed by our location. It makes life easier with no rocks.

I've zero experience of running chain trenchers but I always think they look like a really efficient way to run utilities. Thank you for posting.
Nice tools
That is a very nice implement, Tony, great video!👍🏻

Definitely a great tool to have. I would like to try it on a sub compact tractor with summit hydraulic remotes.
Will do!

I'd like to have one of those! 👍
What kind of mic is that so I don’t buy one
😁😁😁 I had it set up wrong.

I plan on hooking it up to the T25 sooner than later. I think it will do well.

Wouldn't a 3-point linkage PTO driven trencher be more suitable than Hydraulic driven? Much more power using the PTO driven options.
It really needs to be reversible.
@@TonysTractorAdventure Thanks for the reply! Interested to know what for?

If those numbers are true, absolutely. The specs show it needs 10+ gpm minimum. Still works just slower.
is there any pto versions with a clutch of this type digger made?
I don't think so

Thank you for your opinion
Will it cut roots?
Yep. It cuts anything any trencher will cut.
Is that the fastest the chain will turn
No. A bigger tractor will turn it faster. As I mentioned in the video, this is only a 25 horsepower traction.
🤗❤️👍
i want one but dam 5k
It is only viable if you are going to be using it on a regular bases.
You need much more flow to run that!

@@TonysTractorAdventure looked like it was putting about as much dirt back in than was taken out
Rotation speed too slow. Average tree roots will get hung up.
Run the tractor faster it is to slow
