Got some relaxation after watching this ..
Thank you 🎉
Until you'll get introduced to Devin's Cousins 😂
😅😊
Don't relax,just upgrade yourself...😅
We need you sir❤....we need people like you to motivate us
Summary : AI don't have the GUTS.
Humans != Dinosaur 🦕.
We r exceptional.
Have confidence.
Superb explanation of scenario... Thank you for your kind words ❤️❤️
Thank you Sir, for sharing insight about developers future.
Yep saw Devin on The Tech Buzz this morning. Amazing that we can now code without knowing code. Btw if you don’t read The Tech Buzz newsletter. Lots of new stuff coming.
You can vide without knowing to code🙃 interesting
Next level explanation ❤
You gave us a clear explanation 🔥. I just relaxed after watching this 😅
Loved that Sarcastic Reaction in the end.. 😊
Software engo to hell
Software engineer go to hell
The very first level of software engineering was an invention of an Assembler. And then were invented a Fortran, Turbo Pascal, C/C++, Java etc. As a result it gave us a new level in programming. I guess AI is not an exception. Software engineering and engineering overall will get further with it making a new opportunities. It's not a question of worry.
that's a great perspective buddy
Thank you Sir. Always been an admire.
Wooh! That's a relief,Thanks alot
Thank you for sharing this! I think this is something that was going to happen eventually. Some of the occupations I hadn't considered being replaced were paralegals, coaches, and some others I discussed in my video
I'm waiting for this topic ❤
AI tools give a lot of promises but under-delivers drastically. I think their promises are more like marketing gimmicks and propaganda to lure users.
very much true alike when chatgpt was released many people were like now no need to learn DSA, DSA can be skipped what's the point in learning etc. Now chatgpt is just playing the role of a virtual mentor or assistance tool if we get stuck in our job. we can say its the dynamic version of stackoverflow
@@sunilamaranth5606 People think the realeases are exponetial.
Just a matter of time
Gad damn right
Wait for 10 years.
Thank you sir for this information.
Thank you sir, for the heads up
i think government should introduce laws that would prevent advancements in ai. in that way, companies would not be firing us
If big tech no longer require your services, there'll be businesses that still do. Adoption is not as rapid and widespread as people think. It just so happens that whatever happens in big tech makes the news and so everyone thinks that's what's obtainable everywhere. Also, being in IT requires that you learn and evolve continuously. That's how you stay relevant and valuable no matter where you work.
That is just straight up stupid. Blocking advancement is not really sustainable. We humans will always crave for finding out our limits on this earth
Agreed
Cringe Luddite
I agree.something needs to be done to stop this madness.
On a simpler scale just think about self serve counters at McDonalds etc. Well since human emotions are unique,so we dont mind going to real waiters.
But nothing unique about software. So everyone wud prefer AI churned software.
I'm using copilot in my project that tool given code based on the project but we need to adjust correct format , so my opening is whatever technology comming in present and future they can't replace human. Without humans nothing will happen. So don't lose your hope keep learning and keep doing Rock. future is there in our hand's.
He is very correct, I have tested somany ai tools with same question but none of them give proper answer (working answer). Also no code solution, without a technical person it's not possible to build a complex project.
Currently, yes. But things will change, only a matter of time until you can write a few lines of code and AI will create an entire program in a short amount of time.
Jobs will exists of course. But the amount of people needed are going to be much lower. Competition is going to be enormous because of the amount of computer science students and ultimately salaries will reduce. After a few decades the amount of computer scientists will decline and we will have a normal job like all the others.
@@staying_substantially6186 That's a point that I agree with!!! "you can write a few lines of code" -> Who? Not who brought up to the table the requirements. Managers, Clients, Stakeholders, even PM/PO, rarely know or reason exactly what they want AND that it can be done AND that it's feasible, be at the technical or business logic/rules level.
IMHO Software engineers still will need to fill this hole like Business/System analysts. It wont disappear. Of course, the bonanza of making money after doing some bootcamping will probably end. From junior Programmer to Sw Eng titles, jobs will probably shrink. CS course will be the Electrical Engineering or Math of our time. Information Systems, Software Engineering focused on higher level, etc will be possibly targeted for formal education. Some people from more business areas can probably specialize and enter to job competition.
@@staying_substantially6186 I agree, it will take more than a decade ot get to the point where Ai can kind of compete with computer engineers but by that time people will adapt to it. what's the best thing humans do? even more, what is the best thing a computer scientist do? Adapting and learning new skills. Computer scientists that can't adapt will decline.
@@staying_substantially6186you have to be very very skilled to get a job in software development after AI rises up even more. Like, I’m talking being the best of the best. That’s what you need to be
@@venomizerdbl285 that is exactly what I am pointing out. There won't be any people who found a job after going to a boot camp or something like that. Especially in the beginning the competition is going to be insane, the market will be ful with people who long for an IT job, but again, eventually the market will stabilize and it will become a job like anything else, with a normal pay and such
Hi @Telusko (Navin), that's really a very good explanation. You have cleared some concerns but still, I am worried about how can we evolve over time with AI. I am an experienced software engineer and working as a backend developer. Could you please guide us and share any path that would be really very helpful for us.
Thanks and have a good day :)
Thank you , got some relief now 😊
i think devin is just a marketing .No body can not replace human.
it can replace unskilled developers in company easily..skilled and experienced will be safe for now...future cant be predicted now
They want to because they dont want to pay us, rather pay thousands to a robot but not to a human
@@ashrafkhan4097 I mean would unskilled developers would even be in a company?
@@MarcusAlexander-hu8er no as I've an exp of 3+ yrs as java developer.. freshers in company are internally getting laid off as of now.. as freshers won't have real time experience.. to use ai efficiently experienced professionals r reqd to fulfill the client reqmts.. so for freshers coming months or years will be tough for sure..
Just perrrfect.....thnk u soooo.....much.....
I am currently working in Identity & access management domain and I feel AI can make things little better but not going to replace the IAM Engineer jobs.
We are only making company ensure that their User Identity data is safe & secure and they are securely able to login into differnet types of applications.
AI IS going to replace software engineers, and soon. There is no doubt.

Well this is in its childhood phase. Imagine every ai tool in 4-5 years. Every single fu**ing job will get totally replaced. These influencers also knows but don't have guts to tell.
Influencers will be AI some day.
Thank you sir
What's intriguing is our approach to marketing Devin, despite the fact that none of us actually use Devin in our daily work. The real question is whether our children or anyone else really needs to go to college if Devin is going to handle everything. If colleges can't generate revenue because Devin is now the programmer, teacher, and lawmaker, then we have a significant problem. What does that mean for our children? I believe Devin is overhyped, as many businesses still don't use AI and there aren't enough AI developers to meet the demand. It feels like we're providing free advertising just to shut down what was already established.
It’s refreshing to find someone in the same school of thought as me.
Telusko my GOAT.
Absolutely agree
Recently we have integrated our application with DigiLocker
1 complete month went for understanding requirements, UI / UX flow and data flows
Next month went for Architectural design and
Only last month went for coding which could be replaced by AI
So Thinking, Design, Architecture can not be taken away
This is bullshit. Just because you spent that much time on it - and that current AI can not do it - does not mean that an AI 3-5 years down the line can not do it. There is zero evidence - or even attempt - in your statement. No logic. 5 years are similar to GPT-2 to GPT-4 in steps. Possibly 100 million token context. Consider, occasionally, making an argument - not arguing with your possible incompetence. - because you (+team) taking a month to understand requirements may or may not be a problem on your end, and 30 years in IT - 25 of them leading teams - indicate a 90% chance that it is you and the team that made a 1 week task take a month. Which, btw., in 5 years the AI may do in - an hour.
@ThomasTomiczek HI I have bit exgaratted a bit on time lines . It actually not the actual time we took but there many delays in meeting with customer and some bugs were found in the 3rd party apis. We had to write email or call.3rd pary to fix . During this interactiin time we would lose some time
But my point was there shoud be a human to undertake what customer needs and how the flow works and which parts to integrate and thnk about security complaiances . Since this is confufiddntial info we need to take lot of approvals from different stake holder
@@satish1012 And now imagine the moment an AI can partake in these meetings (NVidia is working on a video conferencing nurse -> same thing) and never is late, always has perfect memory etc . - it will beat the crap out of your performance.
We are years away - but that is 2-5 years, not decades. All the books of system archtiecture - will be part of the training.
After releasing the AGI, Computer take over that 80% also
Thanks
I completely agree with you sir
I think one big issue is tech companies pushing AI and the companies are going devaluing people by reducing pay

Since this code is not written by human you may even need more developers to fix the issues which AI makes to debug them and make them what product managers wanted
I am 3rd year in electronics ( ECE). I am confused to choose my career area.... Either.. Vlsi or software engineer... Because... In my college placements on only software jobs... Good video. I'm so tired of doomsayers freaking out about the next AI thing every few days. I'm not worried about being replaced in the slightest. I'm working with a client who has trouble explaining the ideas, requirements of his own product to me. I'm not knocking them for that. It's just how it is. Sometimes it's difficult to convey what's on your mind to someone else. I have to pretty much pull it out of them bit by bit. And then fill in the gaps by making suggestions, considering the big picture down the line. And we have developed a strong relationship along the way and my clients trust what I say and I can decide what's best for them without even them telling me. There's no way an AI can do that job. Maybe in the future, but not anytime soon.
Well said, I think similar way. I am using ChatGPT and GPT based tools for 6 months or so, also using Github Co-pilot with IntelliJ for couple of months.
Wishing AI should kept in some limit, not take it to in that extent when you will be driven by AI instead you drive the AI tools. #sci_fi_movies
Look how much advanced AI in two years
Till Now There is no concept of "Consciousness" into AI .so Ai can't do anything with their Own we have to tell them what to do next what to improve etc.
This is gonna just assist us . ofcourse we will need to change the way we were working earlier..... Things will improve, will take new direction...we have to do a lot more in other feilds using AI so try to make them to work for us....
Exactly
"Till Now There is no concept of "Consciousness" into AI .so Ai can't do anything with their Own we have to tell them what to do next what to improve etc." This is proven bullshit. Give an AI a high level directive and tell it to work on fulfilling a positoin and then be shocked how an AI - knowing the job, the hierarchy etc. - starts working. You do not need consciousness for that - you ened a high level goal (a.k.a. job description) and a motivator (i.e. soemthing that if nothing to do tells the AI to look or contact people for a task). Try looking into proactive agentic systems. Consciousness is one thing - and we can not even define it - but what you define does not need that at all.
"..of course we love writing code.."💀

Ai can't replace developers but make their works even better. Those whom claim that Ai will replace developers they don't know programmimg or they use it as propaganda to promote their marketing. that's all
Not yet*
It is just increasing the competition among fresher
Just learn AI tools and get to know more languages and how to implement end to end and to learn domains, my dudes! We aren't getting replaced when we have creativity and knowledge! Thank you for your 2cents Telusko!
It has been 3 million years since humans originated, they all lived and went back to earth, struggling for water, shelter, freedom, food, liberation , and many other things, we don't have to deal with any of those but then we are scared of a thing which we created! Nothing is more Inteligent than our own minds, everyone has a place, if you're in top 10% you will be in A, if you are in top 50% in B and rest in C. So focus on how you can use your mind and be in the bracket you would like to be. If nothing, then we can still do the bare minimum in some thing and have our food, we don't have to struggle like our ancestors did!
Great explanation 👌
As per my knowledge if any sectors is replaced by AI then all other sector will get affected... For Example
Let's assume Flipkart replaced developer with AI and maximum software developer will lost job and same will be for other companies now think who will going to buy products from flipkart? Because a major sector losts their jobs... So is there any profit for Flipkart by using AI ??
If FK starts using AI, why would common people not buy stuff from it?
Im in my third year, should i drop out n choose a new career that is robot proof, i dont like healthcare, teaching, law, im artist, computer person, whaat else can i do
Exactly
This is the most honest and true opinion
Are there any AI tools built to replace IT Helpdesk support engineers? 😓
Amazon forced you to go to ai chat bot for any request. When there is a bug, I can’t even return or file a refund.
Sir i am first year engineering what should I do should I learn ai or web development
If you are fresher then go with AI and ML
A whole new world...
People seriously underestimate the true potential of Ai. The current version is heavily regulated and controlled. Wait until an unrestricted version of Ai comes up. It’ll replace humans. Don’t confuse Ai with machines. Ai is very humane, if not now, it will be.
i dont think people underestimate ai and its potential. remember ai and machine learning is only as good as its data. we software engineers struggle to find a decent solutions to even simple problems, leave alone a machine learned ai solutionising it for you. it has taken years of adaptation for software engineers to get efficient.
sir is java have demand in 2024 can we learn in 2024.
Devin is the Alien which you keep referring 😂

I'm also a ethical hacker, I understand that AI in Cybersecurity is real, someday AI will properly get implemented into tools of Penetration Testing, I'll give you an example of my friend, he's doing job in pune mh, for just 15k/m as a SOC analyst fresher, he's a complete beginner with 6 Month of experience, his company is planning to replace the freshers and junior employees from AI. there are tools that performs SOC duties like Analysing log, reporting and all.
From my prospective Companies are building AI For Cybersecurity but only for Businesses not for general people and they are not in public domain and they don't get attention as Coding AI do.
My prospective on AI in Cybersecurity is AI will replace the people who are not good at their job, it'll completely replace repetitive and analytical task, but I think AI might not be able to do threat hunting and Core PenTesting on real networks as its hard and complex task.
Currently what people can do is make use of AI to identify vulnerability in the codebase as AI is good in analysis and can recommend or make changes and eliminate basic vulns like SQLi and all
My suggestion Be the top 1% in your domain, no AI technology will replace you and its a fact
My opinion because of these tools and all.people who just started just their coding they wont understand core logic but for experience developers its very useful but at the same time their willl be upskilling needed for them
There is no replacement for human curiosity
It'll be more software ,that's true. But it also means that more companies /startups will be able to afford this software /development. So it'll bring more ,exponentially more conflicts and thus more demand for expertise. This will definitely raise bar for an developer ,as basically developer will need to be an engineer ,that will decrease a demand on not educated bootcampers and front end code monkeys ,what is a good thing. Software will at last become an area of experts, but not "I want in it ,what language should I learn " golddiggers.
So ,yes,it is where less is actually more. Less coders ,more engineers and eventually higher salary's but only for those who are really capable. As it is in other areas. Don't want to spend years on learning ,hardcore math etc - we'll go to McDonald's. And I only salute to this way of things.

undestand archs to convert problem to software arch design
use ai tools
upgrade ur skills.
keep urself onestep above AI
Though at this point, should I still pursue a CS degree
Ofc not switch to engineering
plumber is a good choice
It will reduce manpower in Coding field
Look at the demos of Devin Ai , its coding, testing, deploying applications itself and Its just beginning
Just a person is required to guide the AI model that’s it will provide required output , fun part is this Devin learning itself and adopting the technologies itself .
It’s achieved 13% results in the beginning itself whereas ChatGPT 2%
Within 3-5 yrs the growth of AI models will go exceptionally
It will create some jobs I agree but it will decrease the manpower for sure in most of the IT fields
Switch to other careers where AI hasnt come
When theres gold buy shovels guess who creates these AI its developer. You are correct it will replace entire position especially inside tech.
Will ai replaces qa professional jobs
Human connecting goes a long way
Treat AI as your assistant 😂
You can't fully relly on AI . Remember all developers that with great power comes great responsibility and the loss from one AI can cost a million damage to the Industry . Keep learning , ai doesn't have that good creativity like us humans 💪🏻💪🏻
Maybe A.I. will finally make us the ONE TRUE JAVASCRIPT FRAMEWORK🤞

The rise of AI, exemplified by platforms like Devin AI, is reshaping the software industry, potentially reducing the demand for certain routine programming tasks, but still humans are needed to bring creativity and innovative thinking for coding tasks, in my opinion....
3:30 u mean senior developer will have to do that work.. meaning junior dev will mostly be laid off
... Becoz AI's doing most of the work so even senior developer will be laid off say 20senior dev were working so now 12-15 will be laid off
6:20 u mean Devin of similar AI in near future will eat up 80% of developer job
9:20 convincing that we still need to learn coding..
10:40 what to learn to be job ready , u didn't say
see its simple no matter what how much ever the technology evolves , everything needs man power, because human beings are driven through sensibity and emotions not by specific commands, this ai tools can reduce man power but definitely cant replace humans, so be focused continue ur work, be updated on latest technologies, never stop learning , never loose hopes on such news.
Thats true, but for most of us concern is not if its replaces completely or not, everyone concerned about their job, and AI gonna shrink the need of human devs as it can do a lot of work faster and smoother than human
@@ordinary.human123 I understand your point its just like phone booth replaced by landline and landline replaced by mobiles, people have to get adapted and compete thats the ultimate thing, so if someone loose a job he or she works better and adapt new skills and get a job that is how a world is that is how a technology is , survival of the fittest simple.
The problem is with advanced AI you don't need 20 developers anymore!
This is just a start. AI will get to a point when design, development, testing, uat, deployment and maintenance will be automated. My guess will be 5 to 10 years. Human workers will be replaced 1000 to 1 or worse ratio. Only the smartest human workers will survive in the job market.
Who is gonna gather the information from the client for the app? Who is gonna plan the app and the technologies used for the App? Who is gonna have the skills to know how to interact with the AI and guide it to build the app as per requirements, now that every programming languages comes with pros/cons and its own libraries, programming patterns, pluses and minuses, you actually have to have the skills in order to guide the AI. Who is gonna check the code of the AI? Who is gonna test the application? Who is gonna set up the infrastructure for app? You literally seem to have no idea how things work in the IT industry. At best AI will assist programmers and automate easy tasks or small apps but real life scenarios are complex.

Humans never replace 100 %
Thousands of years ago humans operated with sticks and rocks only. So yes, AI will not replace developers now, but in a couple of years it will. The more people use llms and chatgpt like systems now (helping to train them), the faster it will become.
