Man, this looks delicious-terrific! I was watching another channel on baked country style ribs and she served it up with this casserole. So, I searched RUclips for Broccoli and Cheese casserole and BAM! you were first on the returned results, here I am, your recipe looks delicious and I’m making it. I also subscribed 👍. Thank you! ✌️
Thank you so much Catherine my Mom made a recipe similar to this and used cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken and to it she added broccoli and or green beans it was delicious, some times she tossed in a bit of left over cauliflower to use it up. Brings back some wonderful memories. 💞

Hey Sweetie, I cook for my neighbor that has liver/brain cancer. I did everything you said but added some boiled chicken breast. Hope they like it, I’ll let you know. Please pray for Natty so young, so beautiful, so educated, so loving and still is dying.

@@CatherinesPlates sweetie, I’m 68 years old and my kids live 2000 miles away. I’m just an old southern lady from Sweet Home Alabama, and what do we do, we cook. Natty just breaks my heart. She/nobody should have to go through this, but it took both my parents.
I study medicine and cancer is parasites mostly. Try fasting, it heals everything in the body. Everyone has cancer cells, they come out of dormancy when we do something not natural to earth

Yes please! I'll have two helpings! Your down-home cooking never disappoints. I wouldn't change a thing except maybe to add a buttered bread crumb topping on the holidays. Perfection doesn't need tweaking.

Learned how ro do this about 50 years ago. Except we always added cut up chicken or turkey (cooked or left over).
The perfect side dish to go with any main dish. Even good for a holiday.

Oh my I couldn't open this video fast enough. That casserole is so good....lots of broccoli and cheese! A big dish for some leftovers. Going to put this on list for dinner this weekend.

I cooked this frequently for my kids when they were growing up. It is delicious. Gonna make it again, it’s been years since I’ve made. So good
I made this last night for dinner. I always add chicken or beef to the mix. I fry my rice in 2 tablespoons of butter till lightly browned then add two cups of chicken or beef broth depending on what meat I use. I put the diced onion and 1 to 2 teaspoons of minced garlic to add flavor to the rice. Bring to a boil and covered to simmer for 20 mins. I use cream of Chicken with the chicken and cream of Mushroom for the beef.
I have been wanting to make this for quite some time and finally did it today thank you so much for this recipe it turned out very delicious

I have made this, and it is very versatile. Sometimes I have added mushrooms and/or bell peppers, sauteed in the pan with onions, and sometimes used egg noodles instead of rice.

I don't like canned soup so I made a bechamel sauce instead. Plus, fresh broccoli. A good recipe on nights we don't want to cook.

Will prepare this for Thanksgiving - enjoyed your presentation -adding a can of diced water chestnuts brings a crunchy surprise to this dish.
The first time I ate this casserole, a friend's son had died, and a lot of us took a covered dish and a ham to her house. She invited me to stay and eat. I ate so much of this, I embarrassed myself. Her friend that made this, had no onion, yours sounds even tastier!
Wow! Now that's a lot of cheese! Instead of putting more on top, I think I would either use buttered breadcrumbs or those fried onions that come in a can. Sure looks amazing!!
Okay we have the same recipe that I do . I use a can of cream of mushrooms and a can of cheese soup 🍲. Also I haven't tried the mustard . Gonna try that next time . God bless . Hope your beautiful family are all doing well .

I’ve never had broccoli but I need to start eating green vegetables because right now I don’t. I make be able to stomach the broccoli this way especially if I add chicken. I’m going to give this a try.

I would use whole milk or cream instead of water and fresh broccoli parboiled and chopped in the recipe. I can't wait to try it.
