Amazing result! I never thought of combining monotype with waterclolour. I will use that as inspiration for one of my next works. I really like the way the sun shines through the mountain gap. But the texture of black print on the black watercolour gives a fantastic texture. Like the music too. Look forwart to see more of your artwork and your process. Thank you so much.
This is such an amazing painting. Not just the inspiration -- which is so moving all in itself -- but you get so MUCH mileage out of black. That and sharing so many fantastic techniques, too. Years ago, I lived in a very steep mountain valley that mostly runs east-west, and I remember seeing the sun coming up and seeing the golden rays slowly filtering into the valley as the sun rose higher, while we still remained in cold and darkness. This painting reminds me of that. A promise of hope and goodness to come. Really fitting with the "Sinus."
To answer your question - maybe because a "sinus" is a cavity... and this looks like a "cavity" between the mountain and the plateau opposite? Or the mountain looks like a nose? I hope you will tell us! I really admire your process!
Hi Janina, "Sinus" here refers to the Sinus rhythm of your heartbeat, determined by the sinus node of a heart. I have had three heart attacks myself, an one cardiac arrest... therefore I named it "Sinus". Picture: as2.ftcdn.net/v2/jpg/04/40/81/11/1000_F_440811176_uhhLTFnosLbP4r9gcoSsFykvbQgvdBs0.jpg

I admire that you are not afraid of very dark colors, and the textures that are still important, even when it’s very dark. I love this. 😊
Very nice . I like the depth created with the white contrasted against the yellow reflection and sunlight.❤
You know what you're doing, Sir. Thank God that in this world there are people like you, producing beautiful things 🌍🙏❤️
Thank you very much for your kind words 🌹

@@dag_rottereng Jaha!
