Brilliant Steve reminds me of fort Nelson outside Portsmouth and just like that fort this one is a mine of information (fascinating tour mate ) 🤠👍 Best wishes Simon
Amazing for me to see the fort now because as a boy on holiday in the 60s the place was abandoned.A great place to play but the transformation is wonderful.Cheers.
@@SightsWithSteve Hurst Castle guarding the eastern approach to the Solent is worth a look. From the time it was built by Henry Tudor to WW2 it never fired in anger.
😮 I just looked on google maps, that looks impressive! I’m hoping to get to the Isle of Wight either this year or next, that’s definitely added to the list 😁
Hello Steve, i was lucky enough to live on portland between 73/75 and got to play at the sister battery at vern citadel ( it’s still impressive well worth a visit) i visit nothe and portland every year and your coverage of this is absolutely amazing especially the drone footage, if you get the chance try covering vern and the battery plus there’s a large underground tunnel complex on the seaward side but you can’t access it anymore i doubt without permission. Liked and subscribed , honestly very well done 👍 lastly are you a welsh doode?
@@thelesseroftwoweevils Thank you very much, it’s great to get compliments from people who’ve visited… that’s when you know you’ve done it right and done it justice. Absolutely I’m Welsh, from a town called Cwmbran in South Wales, I can’t hide that accent 🤣. Thank you so much for watching, commenting & subscribing. I hope there will be plenty for you to enjoy 🫡
@ lovely boy, i’m from newport right next to the transporter bridge, now i’ve seen your channel it was a daft question 😂go on mate I’m going to watch the carleon amphitheater one next 👍
there’s a fair few from the area, I’ve recently re filmed the Amphitheater, barracks, museum & baths with the GoPro too but I haven’t released that yet. Because the drone is very weather dependent I try to get a load of footage to last me over winter, I currently have videos filmed & edited up until the middle of May 💪🏻
Fantastic video Steve. Fabulous footage 👌 ground and air. Great day out. Thank you for taking me along. Brilliant 👏 👏 ❤
