My grandfather was one of the main creators of this reserve. He was a nature guide and brought the plants, or many of them, that began the reserve. There is a tree dedicated to him. He also kept bees, caught copperheads and rattlesnakes for use in making anti venom, and helped weekend hunters from the city get their animals. Thanks for highlighting this beautiful place. Love your videos.
I had a great aunt who was involved in the creation of the reserve! Beautiful place, yet I haven’t been there in years.
Your grandfather did a great job.
What a beautiful video of all these lovely little treasures! Thanks for sharing this!
From one wildflower nerd to another ~ this was magical.
this is what Cliff heaven is like
The April full moon is named the Pink Moon because of the Pink phlox.
Showed another phlox. The colors of both were so vivid.
If someone one told me catus were native to PA, I would not have believed.
When I saw this was a 50 minute long. I thought I can only do 10 minutes at a time. I enjoyed every minute of it. Looks like I got squatter rights on that cabin.
The yellow trilliums are trillium luteum. Lucky you!!😊 There are "painted trilliums" that have beautiful red markings on the inside of the petals that also are native to PA, but I believe more in the northern part of the state. Worth going up there to look for!. That first red trillium you found is trillium sesslile, not trillium erectum, which is not sessile (has a stem on the flower) and has a flower form more like the white grandiflorums. But their colors are the same. Oh! White shooting stars! Wonderful finds!! the dutchmans britches have pointy white flowers-squirrel corn looks like them-same family but have rounded points. You often see them in the same area, but they are different. Thank you for the walk!
I would love to see more in Bucks County, ieTyler Park, Delaware River, the falls at ringing rocks park .Tinicum park, Ralph stover park.Van sant covered bridge and grass airport
WOW
I'm watching this video thinking Cliff should be the one giving guided tour.lol.
Awesome place love the flowers
B!uebells volunteered one year in my flower garden. I had no idea they were wild flowers. I'm currently benched due to health issues but I went outside and my overgrown yard was full of color from wild flowers. The best medicine in the world!
A swath of bluebells is so magical. Loved all the flowers, the plants, the bridge and the cabin. Thanks so much for sharing the beauty!
This preserve is well worth the twelve dollar entrance fee. Even for some one on a very tight budget.
❤happy to see you in your happy place cliff!!! Bingo!
A little peek of what heaven will be like!❤ 🎉 😊 thanks for videoing this for us!!!❤❤❤
I enjoyed watching the lively sounds and videos of flora and fauna. Thank you for sharing your special experience video.
Thank you Cliff you're the best! You are a treasure to us and to your students.
Spectacular! Thanks for the rare trilliums, cactus and other surprises.
One of Cliffs best!
Beautiful
See Cliff ... we all told you to go there! 😂
Thank you for taking us along on your excursions! Not all of us can travel to these places.
Thanks for bringing folks to see this. Absolutely beautiful. I enjoy your enthusiasm when you find something.
No shame in loving plants. Thank you for showing us this beautiful walk. It was such a joy to see all of the pretty flowers. It would be so peaceful to take a stroll through there.
Cliff, what annoyance video. I found watching you so passionate about your interests in flora was the most exhilarating thing. Hen you found those red trilliums, you got super excited. Thanks for the day out.
Those flowers were heartleaf foamflowers. The 2nd one was yellow trilliums.
I love going there! So close to home. Thank you for touring this beautiful place!
The white flowers with the swept back petals...I'm thinking it's something like Shooting Star...
What a gorgeous place. Some areas looked like good mushroom hunting by all the Mayapples
My new favourite video. Those flowers were gorgeous. A picnic would be nice there then to walk as much as possible. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
Awesome video Cliff, I really enjoy your videos. You take me to wonderful places through these videos. You helped me get through some rough times. There is a lot to appreciate in nature.
Bucks County is really nice!
Such a beautiful place.😊
I was as excited to see this video as you were to see the red trillium. lol I'm glad you finally made it! As I have said before, this place was made for you.
That plant you couldn't remember the name...I think its Foam Flower/ Tiarella.
That was a beautiful place!!!
Thanks for sharing the lovely flowers!
What a gorgeous area! Loved all the wildflowers. I have been wanting to get there too. I hope I can get there at the right time someday. I kept waiting for you to check if the Mayapples were blooming, but maybe it was a bit early for them to bloom.
Beautiful! We have several preserves like this in Texas. Love seeing nature in other states!!
I never saw those kinds of flowers are here.
Always beautiful videos. 😍
I've really been enjoying your relaxing videos. Few things:
You'd love the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL, in the Chgo suburbs. Have you ever thought about doing El Camino de Santiago in Spain? You're a great walker! And, do you ever forage for ramps? Thanks!
At 46:10 I believe those are Mehan's Mint
At 30:05 those are Almond Blossoms.
At 45:50 were they a form of bleeding hearts? When we went to WA many years ago, my husband showed me bleeding hearts, and those flowers reminded me of them.
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Nice water .
At 33:00 those are shooting stars.
At 31:38 that is more Star Chickweed
not too long ago it was free to get in
At 29:30 that is Star Chickweed
When you were in that hollow tree,it would have made an adorable picture. Im surprised you didn't take one. I have 1 complaint. When you were at that pavilion on the Audubon trail, there were a few signs. I know you cant stop and read all of them, but you could've shown them or say what they were about. Im guessing it was about what birds could be seen. Now that I think about it, I didn't hear any birds. Did I miss something? This was a beautiful place and wish I could've been there. Stay safe.❤❤❤
It would be nice if you would step back and show the signs so we could see!!
At 38:39 those are milk maids
The deer have eaten all my flowers and eating my apple tree too!😢😢
I thoroughly enjoyed this hike. Is this preserve a place that would have something in bloom during different seasons? Is this worth a revisit?
Yes, but this was peak season.
Are all of those different flowers indigenous to that area?
most of them.
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 Thanks Cliff. I’m not too far from there in New Jersey. I may have to go check it out. I know the area pretty well.
