Lovely watch but the user software and use is always hampered by some lag or another ....these watches are great s/h when there true price is -50% .....I would have thought by now anyone who brings out a watch at £300 mark would realise it has to be special, quick and well made x

Chigz, appreciate the brutal honesty mate. I subbed. But aren't MOST of the things you mention as justified criticisms of this Huawei not applicable to all Huawei watches? Inc the £500 Watch 3 Pro. I think most people buy the Huawei watches because they are the best looking in the business and offer excellent battery life. Which is achieved based on the fact that the functionality is somewhat limited. But you still get HR monitoring. Step and sleep counting etc. Other fitness related tricks. See what apps are pinging your phone. And so on. Take calls too.
It depends, because for the same money there are better options. HR and sleep is not enough. Any cheap fitness tracker can do it. But when your talking about £300 for a smartwatch, you better make sure your getting your monies worth for both features, specs and design. Also the huawei watch GT3 does not have mil-std durability and no gorilla glass. So if one hard knock smashes your front screen will you still feel it’s worth the money. More bang for your buck is required.

I've got the original Huawei Watch GT. Perfect choice at the time for me, cause it had pretty accurate hr monitoring, a nice app, doesn't look too sporty and cheap to wear all the time, extremely long battery life, small and lightweight enough for a slim wrist and lots of outdoor fitness activities, costs far less than the Garmin/Suunto alternative,... But now I'm curious what's out there after all these years. Maybe wanting to upgrade to something similar with more connectability and apps (wifi? faster bluetooth? strava? reading phone mssgs?) as well as music options (spotify). Seems like the GT3 does NOT tick all those boxes, and the Samsung GW4 comes pretty damn close. Great video, cheers.
Hy i bought the Gt 3 few days ago ,and im impressed i really dont need spotify ,it has a lot of brilliant features and 14 days battery life ,i tried a few smartwatches i had the first huawei gt too ,wanted to buy the galaxy watxh 4 but the battery is very poor max 2 days in good ways ,and very inaccurate ,gt 3 is a real heartrate king. Note: dont use any device for sleeptracking ,keep away every EMF (wifi,bluetooth,4g,5g) device away from you at least when u sleep.Sooner or later u will get heart problems ,feel tired etc. This is a fact.
I guess I'll just stick with my gt2 pro, I feel like it might be better than Gt3 in the build quality area because gt2 pro has titanium body sapphire glass and ceramic back 🤷♂️
The only thing I don't like about the GT 2 Pro is color. It doesn't match any of the straps I bought for it. Hahaha. Oh, My GT3 seems to have a shorter battery life. :(
Watch faces is only your problem , but mine is instantly getting the watch face . No problem in watch face . Installing is fast and no blank watch face while we install
Tip for all Ios users. First if u can, borrow friend's android, install apps over app gallery that u want and then unpair it and pair it with your Iphone.
The same functionality is available on any android phone. It's only when you connect your Huawei GT3 to an Apple phone where you then lose certain features. I have an Samsung S21and the watch has all the same features it has when connected to an Huawei phone apart from the Huawei voice assistant.
It uses bluetooth to transfer watchfaces, that’s why the transfer is slow. Updates like firmware that are large take 30-60 min. But ALL updates and watchfaces has transfered and installed without any problem for me, got an Iphone 11 Pro.

There is a problem with Samsung Galaxy Buds live on iphone. You can't hear from buds if you connect with Galaxy buds App on IOS. Only you can use by connecting through blutooth menu. And no advantages of Buds. Only normal sound and Mic.

iPhone, no issues as mentioned Celia works (well sort off, it does not understand me 😁, and my English is not that bad) Watch faces working just fine Yes, the notifications are just that, notifications and you can’t respond to them. Not consistent, they sometimes don’t work, and sometimes they send me notifications from apps when I’m in do not disturb (which is weird) I was shaking the watch the other day, drying it after I forgot to remove it when showering. It thought I fell, and without asking me, it called my emergency contact (Apple watch asks first)
Thought the fall detection was only on Watch 4 and not GT3. But it makes sense to not ask, given it could be a medical emergency and the person not in a position to respond.

I was expecting the health tracking to be at least gold as their other watches, shame they haven't refined Harmony OS, Samsung did an amazing job with Tizen, Hauwei truly do have the most pretty smart watches out there followed very close with Fossil IMO then Samsung then Apple (don't like the rectangle look). Confused why they didn't make it work better on other android phones and iPhones, I thought they would care about expanding their weable market growth or something. I'm currently really enjoying my GW4 46mm 4G, can;t wait for the latest software update to reach the 4G models, the finally added the option where you can get rid of that stupid ambient display that obsucres everything before it goes back to AOD. huawei made their watches to fully work with huawei phones... you can pair them and use them on ios as well... that s a +.. everyone is thinking that if you can t 100% use huawei watches on other phones, the watch is bad.. now try to pair an apple watch to an android...no one is blaming apple for that.
You called Galaxy Watch "accurate heart and Spo2 readings" while Quantified Scientist have made in dept comparisons and the only two smart watches that are reliable on heart rate and Spo2 are Apple Watches and some Huawei like GT3. Samsung Galaxy watches are terrible on heart rate accuracy and Spo2 accuracy.

I´ve have a problem with trainings. An hour with GPS uses 18-20% battery. I sent it to warranty, they said it had a problem and replaced the board. Well it still has the same problem. As for daily use with all measures like heart, sleep the battery is just fine. Maybe turn off all the extra monitoring and test it.
why people expect to pair Huawei watch with Apple iPhone and it works well ? 😂. It is a Huawei watch and actually you can get the best performance with Huawei Ecosystem. Samsung watches don't work well with other brands phones too. Huawei is beginning of the way that Apple did it years ago, but it is doing that faster than Apple and in a few years maybe Huawei will better Ecosystem than Apple.

34.6 degrees is considered "hypothermic". Not really "perfect". Pretty happy I bought the Ticwatch Pro 3 and not the GT3 Pro (despite the awesome build quality of the GT3 Pro.)
On the watch it tells you that 32 to 34 degrees temperature at the risk is normal and if your outside of that temperature you may have something health wise going on
As beautiful as the watch is the fact that you can get a watch with the same features and less software issues for half the money or less, or a watch with a lot more features for a similar amount of money really makes it pretty hard to recommend
Interesting. I still have my original first gen Huawei watch black on black and use it most days. Once I saw this video pop up, I got a bit excited thinking they finally went back to that premium aesthetic of the first gen. They certainly stepped away from the sporty look which I like but it's a shame it's lacking compared to the competition it seems.
Depends what you want from a watch. No watch does it all. He mentions the Galaxy Watch , being able to reply to notifications, ECG, calls etc. Now what isn't mentioned is the training metrics that Huawei GT3 has in comparison to the Galaxy Watch. So like I say it really does depend on what you want from a watch. Huawei is a better Watch to train with.

I'm sure there are some people out there who's specific requirements for what they want in a smartwatch would be fulfilled more by this watch than anything else available, and for someone who is mostly looking for fitness tracking and an attractive watch, but doesn't care about more smartwatch focused features as much, this could be a great option if they iron out some of the software problems. I just can't help but feel like at this price point I would probably expect more features and less software issues, (especially ones as major as not being able to update your watch or difficulty pairing it to certain Android phones) and that there are much better value options at this price point or lower, or if money is less of a consideration for someone, just much better options overall out there. Also, the benefit that something like the Galaxy Watch or any other device running WearOS has is that having access to such a huge app store makes it pretty likely that you'd be able to download something that offers most or all of the training metrics the Huawei Watch 3 has

Anyone here that's had the Gt2 pro and moved onto the GT3 pro notice a difference in readings on blood O2 levels. Had the Gt2 pro for 2 years and through the night etc it has always showed around 98 to 100 percent, sometimes a dip here and there, I've had the GT3 pro for 2 days and it's showing drops to 91, making me want to put the 2 back on lol.

For christmas my mom wanted to buy me a huawei watch gt 3 pro and when we were about to get it we realized that the employees hadnt even done anything to get the watch, for context here are the dates the watch was supposed to be delivered in. Ordered december 22nd expected december 25th Delayed from december 25th to january 13th And the same day she asked me if I wanted to get another one, she said maybe the gt 2 but tbh I dont even know what are the specs and thing it has, for example if it has specific sports, some sensors so I said maybe a band and she told me that I had to get something that wasnt cheap cuz my dad could get mad so we ended up getting the gt 3 and now Im thinking of buying either the huawei watch 3, 3 pro or the gt 3 pro.

I have actually not had this watch face problem on my iPhone. But I steel feel that this watch is for sure not working perfectly with iOS. I just tried HW3pro and it can’t show temperature on face.
Do not buy the GT3 42mm version. It is not made for sports. I noticed that the watch using GPS in running, bike or walk uses an average of aproxametly 17 to 20% of the battery. And this is with all extra things off. So since I was not able to do any activity over 5h to 6h, I decided to send it to warranty. The report said an anomaly was detected, and they replaced the board. When I got it back I went on 59 minute walk, the baterry went from 82 to 65%!! It has been sent a total of 3, and their final reply is that it is the normal consumption for the watch and I quote "This topic has been escalated to Huawei's R&D (Research and Development) department for a more detailed check, which may improve the equipment's performance in similar situations." That is not at all normal. If they have the option of hiking, trail that are activities that go way on more than 5 or 6h. What happens? Easy you run out of baterry before your exercise is done. In no manner can this even be considered a sportswatch nevermind for hiking, trail or biking or any type of extreme activity. And the brand will not assume that is has made a watch incapable of long hours with GPS and barometer on. I have been totally ripped off buy the brand! And the brand says it's a nromal value fo consumption. If it is normal at least put in in the specifications "not adequate for any type of training over 6 hours with GPS usage" Have to go back to my cheap but durable battery on my amazfit.
My TicWatch Pro 3 GPS also doesn't seem to support Google Assistant Voice, so it seems to be an iOS incompatibility. Going to buy and Android phone to see if I can unlock some of the missing features.
Still no integration with music streaming services is a big turn off for me. I have the gt2 and it is by far the biggest downside. People don’t really download music anymore
samsung doesnt have what the huawei has to offer. Most important thing is the battery life. I found samsung quite a gimmicky watch. I thought the huawei was a better quality watch (gt2 pro) than the samsung4 classic. I have no want or need to use wattsapp on my watch. I prefer a watch that works efficiently where I can charge a days worth of battery in 5 mins with fast charger. Where a full charge can last for weeks. I own both samsung 4 classic and huawei gt2 pro I prefer the huawei. samsung feels cheap and gimmicky and doesnt offer me anything that i dont already have on my phone. I also prefer huawei app, sleep for example is very accurate in data and useful in the information that it gives me. If i had to lose one watch it would be the samsung samsung is also very creepy about how much information it takes from you, its up for sale. its less comfortable to wear too. my huawei is made from titanium/ceramic meaning i can wear it every day, and wear it at night as sleep data is important. with samsung it has to be off my wrist regularly to charge, and charge again, thats a basic i want. that samsung is light years behind with.
Hamony OS v2.1.0 must be the issue then as i have the GT2 pro which works instantly. i dont use watch to send messages or listen to music. yes it is limited with apps etc, although i dont use many apps on my galaxy watch 4classic (which has rubbish battery now along with apple) all functions work as much as is needed as they are not medical grade. got to remember samsung. apple etc are £50 plus more. i get 7to10 days battery from my GT2 (this one maybe different, but does advertise the same) and my GT2 connects to my android device. took some fiddling to get the full experience, but is all there now, watch faces either paid for or free, plus other options available-not tried music.
@@nicoa2467 it's already works however after 3 weeks with that watch I am not very satisfied... cons which I noticed: - when it is not connected with phone via bluetooth it will not save the heartbeat information from that time. You will have an empty space in application after reconnection. - waking up a watch... it's really so not intelligent. It works only when you are doing full move like from the hips level to the chest, when your arm is in another position, simple twisting a wrist will not wake up a watch what is terrible in my opinion
It's no secret these watches perform efficiently within their own ecosystem. Samsung and Apple are guilty of the same.

There is a problem with Samsung Galaxy Buds live on iphone. You can't hear from buds if you connect with Galaxy buds App on IOS. Only you can use by connecting through blutooth menu. And no advantages of Buds. Only normal sound and Mic.
Excellent review! Is it possible to connect multiple devices to the Huawei Health app on iPhone? Hoping to be able to connect a GT3, GT2, and a Honor band 6 but only use one at a time, hoping to be able to switch devices on the app. As Amazfit has this functionality?

Yes, the notifications are just that, notifications and you can’t respond to them.
Not consistent, they sometimes don’t work, and sometimes they send me notifications from apps when I’m in do not disturb (which is weird)
I was shaking the watch the other day, drying it after I forgot to remove it when showering.
It thought I fell, and without asking me, it called my emergency contact (Apple watch asks first)
Thought the fall detection was only on Watch 4 and not GT3. But it makes sense to not ask, given it could be a medical emergency and the person not in a position to respond.

Wow, that is a shame... I was expecting the health tracking to be at least gold as their other watches, shame they haven't refined Harmony OS, Samsung did an amazing job with Tizen, Hauwei truly do have the most pretty smart watches out there followed very close with Fossil IMO then Samsung then Apple (don't like the rectangle look).
Confused why they didn't make it work better on other android phones and iPhones, I thought they would care about expanding their weable market growth or something. I'm currently really enjoying my GW4 46mm 4G, can;t wait for the latest software update to reach the 4G models, the finally added the option where you can get rid of that stupid ambient display that obsucres everything before it goes back to AOD.

huawei made their watches to fully work with huawei phones... you can pair them and use them on ios as well... that s a +..

This watch is beautiful not gonna lie but it's lacking some key features.
You called Galaxy Watch "accurate heart and Spo2 readings" while Quantified Scientist have made in dept comparisons and the only two smart watches that are reliable on heart rate and Spo2 are Apple Watches and some Huawei like GT3. Samsung Galaxy watches are terrible on heart rate accuracy and Spo2 accuracy.
If u add kontakts i think u can call them from the watch. I tried on my old Huawei watch and it worked. Nothing i use, but it worked....

I´ve have a problem with trainings. An hour with GPS uses 18-20% battery. I sent it to warranty, they said it had a problem and replaced the board. Well it still has the same problem. As for daily use with all measures like heart, sleep the battery is just fine. Maybe turn off all the extra monitoring and test it.
why people expect to pair Huawei watch with Apple iPhone and it works well ? 😂. It is a Huawei watch and actually you can get the best performance with Huawei Ecosystem. Samsung watches don't work well with other brands phones too. Huawei is beginning of the way that Apple did it years ago, but it is doing that faster than Apple and in a few years maybe Huawei will better Ecosystem than Apple.

34.6 degrees is considered "hypothermic". Not really "perfect". Pretty happy I bought the Ticwatch Pro 3 and not the GT3 Pro (despite the awesome build quality of the GT3 Pro.)
on covid tests of temperature, i get a lot of 34, i even got 33,7 in different machines, so idk... if it is normal or not. xD
On the watch it tells you that 32 to 34 degrees temperature at the risk is normal and if your outside of that temperature you may have something health wise going on
Does the AOD feature disables rise to wake function, like it does on Gt2/gt2 pro?
mine right now, only wakes if there a notification, but if not, if you rise it, it still show the AOD Watch face
As beautiful as the watch is the fact that you can get a watch with the same features and less software issues for half the money or less, or a watch with a lot more features for a similar amount of money really makes it pretty hard to recommend
Interesting. I still have my original first gen Huawei watch black on black and use it most days.
Once I saw this video pop up, I got a bit excited thinking they finally went back to that premium aesthetic of the first gen. They certainly stepped away from the sporty look which I like but it's a shame it's lacking compared to the competition it seems.
Depends what you want from a watch. No watch does it all.
He mentions the Galaxy Watch , being able to reply to notifications, ECG, calls etc. Now what isn't mentioned is the training metrics that Huawei GT3 has in comparison to the Galaxy Watch. So like I say it really does depend on what you want from a watch. Huawei is a better Watch to train with.

I'm sure there are some people out there who's specific requirements for what they want in a smartwatch would be fulfilled more by this watch than anything else available, and for someone who is mostly looking for fitness tracking and an attractive watch, but doesn't care about more smartwatch focused features as much, this could be a great option if they iron out some of the software problems.
I just can't help but feel like at this price point I would probably expect more features and less software issues, (especially ones as major as not being able to update your watch or difficulty pairing it to certain Android phones) and that there are much better value options at this price point or lower, or if money is less of a consideration for someone, just much better options overall out there.
Also, the benefit that something like the Galaxy Watch or any other device running WearOS has is that having access to such a huge app store makes it pretty likely that you'd be able to download something that offers most or all of the training metrics the Huawei Watch 3 has

Anyone here that's had the Gt2 pro and moved onto the GT3 pro notice a difference in readings on blood O2 levels. Had the Gt2 pro for 2 years and through the night etc it has always showed around 98 to 100 percent, sometimes a dip here and there, I've had the GT3 pro for 2 days and it's showing drops to 91, making me want to put the 2 back on lol.

Hold on about the features: a scientific analysis was done on the accuracy of the features and the GT3 has superior accuracy of Heart Rate monitoring to the Galaxy Watch 4.
I had an early model, maybe a few firmware updates later, they managed to improve things.

For christmas my mom wanted to buy me a huawei watch gt 3 pro and when we were about to get it we realized that the employees hadnt even done anything to get the watch, for context here are the dates the watch was supposed to be delivered in.
Ordered december 22nd expected december 25th
Delayed from december 25th to january 13th
And the same day she asked me if I wanted to get another one, she said maybe the gt 2 but tbh I dont even know what are the specs and thing it has, for example if it has specific sports, some sensors so I said maybe a band and she told me that I had to get something that wasnt cheap cuz my dad could get mad so we ended up getting the gt 3 and now Im thinking of buying either the huawei watch 3, 3 pro or the gt 3 pro.
How do you get longer battery life with the Samsung? Samsung only claim up to 40hrs vs the 2 weeks with the Huawei Watches.

No difference in sports tracking than the GT2. Inaccurate SP02 and other issues should have been enough.

I have actually not had this watch face problem on my iPhone. But I steel feel that this watch is for sure not working perfectly with iOS. I just tried HW3pro and it can’t show temperature on face.
Do not buy the GT3 42mm version. It is not made for sports.
I noticed that the watch using GPS in running, bike or walk uses an average of aproxametly 17 to 20% of the battery. And this is with all extra things off.
So since I was not able to do any activity over 5h to 6h, I decided to send it to warranty.
The report said an anomaly was detected, and they replaced the board. When I got it back I went on 59 minute walk, the baterry went from 82 to 65%!!
It has been sent a total of 3, and their final reply is that it is the normal consumption for the watch and I quote "This topic has been escalated to Huawei's R&D (Research and Development) department for a more detailed check, which may improve the equipment's performance in similar situations."
That is not at all normal. If they have the option of hiking, trail that are activities that go way on more than 5 or 6h. What happens? Easy you run out of baterry before your exercise is done.
In no manner can this even be considered a sportswatch nevermind for hiking, trail or biking or any type of extreme activity. And the brand will not assume that is has made a watch incapable of long hours with GPS and barometer on.
I have been totally ripped off buy the brand! And the brand says it's a nromal value fo consumption. If it is normal at least put in in the specifications "not adequate for any type of training over 6 hours with GPS usage"
Have to go back to my cheap but durable battery on my amazfit.

Still no integration with music streaming services is a big turn off for me. I have the gt2 and it is by far the biggest downside. People don’t really download music anymore

For some reason I can't set Celia in my watch
samsung doesnt have what the huawei has to offer. Most important thing is the battery life. I found samsung quite a gimmicky watch. I thought the huawei was a better quality watch (gt2 pro) than the samsung4 classic. I have no want or need to use wattsapp on my watch. I prefer a watch that works efficiently where I can charge a days worth of battery in 5 mins with fast charger. Where a full charge can last for weeks. I own both samsung 4 classic and huawei gt2 pro I prefer the huawei. samsung feels cheap and gimmicky and doesnt offer me anything that i dont already have on my phone. I also prefer huawei app, sleep for example is very accurate in data and useful in the information that it gives me. If i had to lose one watch it would be the samsung samsung is also very creepy about how much information it takes from you, its up for sale. its less comfortable to wear too. my huawei is made from titanium/ceramic meaning i can wear it every day, and wear it at night as sleep data is important. with samsung it has to be off my wrist regularly to charge, and charge again, thats a basic i want. that samsung is light years behind with.

Hamony OS v2.1.0 must be the issue then as i have the GT2 pro which works instantly. i dont use watch to send messages or listen to music. yes it is limited with apps etc, although i dont use many apps on my galaxy watch 4classic (which has rubbish battery now along with apple) all functions work as much as is needed as they are not medical grade. got to remember samsung. apple etc are £50 plus more. i get 7to10 days battery from my GT2 (this one maybe different, but does advertise the same) and my GT2 connects to my android device. took some fiddling to get the full experience, but is all there now, watch faces either paid for or free, plus other options available-not tried music.
I'd go with huawei because samsungs BPM & ECG isn't available in all countries.
Now possible to answer messages with quick replies or emoji.

@@nicoa2467 it's already works however after 3 weeks with that watch I am not very satisfied... cons which I noticed:
- when it is not connected with phone via bluetooth it will not save the heartbeat information from that time. You will have an empty space in application after reconnection.
- waking up a watch... it's really so not intelligent. It works only when you are doing full move like from the hips level to the chest, when your arm is in another position, simple twisting a wrist will not wake up a watch what is terrible in my opinion
