I really hope the parts description along with the vid has helped the viewers either install or see that an aftermarket head-unit in a first gen Veloster will work properly. A possible update vid showing the unit still in the car and working may come around!
I have a 2013 veloster and Im wanting to replace the radio myself, if I just wanted to just have the radio and Bluetooth functions would I still need the idatalink maestro? Or is that something I would need for the steering wheel controls to work? Thanks in advance!
U need the axxess wire interface and the SPDIF to be able to use an after market on our cars! The only thing on the parts list in the description of vid that you won’t need for install is the RR MAESTRO. That I have just as a for kicks to display sum obd2 on the stereo screen! 1:00
So I bought a pioneer radio, I went to best buy to install it, I got a problem when turning off my Veloster, the amplifiers, crossover stays on and you can hear a little noise coming from the speakers, it drained my battery, it only happen with the new radio, they put back the factory radio and everything shut down when turning off the car, they can't figure it out what's going on, any help?
Sorry for the late response haven’t been on here to check for comments. I did my own install and have not had an issue with the unit since I have had it car. You have to get everything except the maestro module. That is only to tap into OBD and display gauges.

Thank you for showing the proper way to pop the dash out instead of prying it
