For anyone wanting to buy this headunit, let me give you some feedback from my recent experience: 1- If your car is a Limited version with stock head w/navigation: these versions come with a stock amplifier that uses a different system than the other...let's say...more basic models. So, these Limited version need a different interface kit. Where to get it? I don't know. The technician that helped me install mine had it and charged me for it, of course he wasn't going to reveal where he got it from. With this new harness everything worked perfectly fine. 2- Pros: no issues connecting to Wifi (my phone's hotspot), no issues with bluetooth either /OEM back up camera working / Steering wheel controls working. / Waze works perfectly good / RUclips runs smoothly but for some reason when you start it or search for a video it first give you like the "reload" icon so you gotta keep pressing reload first / Netflix runs pretty smooth. / Spotify: pro & con, pro is that it works, con is that it is a little slow but I think this is a problem of the app itself working on android tablets because I have a Samsung tablet where spotify works also slow. 3- Cons: the position angle makes it get a lot of reflection from the sky specially on very bright days, if the days is not too bright no problem, at night no problem at all of course / The sound is not as good as the stock radio and the equalizer has waayyy too many different adjustments, I feel like I only need one for each bass, mid & treble. This one has 32 adjustments / It also has the option to turn off/on "loudness". I turned this on to have a better sound but the con here is that sometimes it reboots itself to "off" so I've encountered myself having to turn it back on several times / The unit doesn't start immediately every time, sometimes you get the sound (radio) immediately as soon as you start the ignition but some other times it's like it's rebooting and takes a little longer to start so you will see first the brand logo then the android logo until it finally starts / There is no way to leave the stock mic working, it only works with its own mic that you can see on the upper left corner, therefore, your calls quality might not be as good as with the stock mic plus I'm pretty sure there is a little lag in the sound during calls because I've noticed people doesn't reply immediately after I said something / Last, for the backup camera this unit works with RCA cable and so the image quality is not as good as it used to be with the stock unit. The image is not as bright, clear and crispy as before. That's just part of what I have experienced so far. I feel like I would have just made a video instead but I hope this helps you. Perhaps I can do a video to show the interface that was installed in my car and really show all different functions of this unit.

@@ozzylake2976I ended up not getting this unit and instead bought a Sony from Crutchfield. Mine auto loads CarPlay!
How do you change/remove the KIA thing from popping up?
Do you know how to get rid of the do not watch video while driving message on RUclips? I put it in park and handbrake but it still says it
bought a 4gb version for my 2011 runs way smoother
Wondering where you got the harness that you used!!! Does not look like the one that came with the kit on amazon following the link. Is it the same pin setup as say Joying, or idoing?
it came with it in the box
@@JohnNguyenVincent Now that's a nice kit!
Bought it about 2 months ago.
Touch screen stopped working about 2 weeks ago.
Does this come with car apple car play? It looks awesome would buy it does
Does anyone know if the steering wheel buttons still work?
yes, they do. There is a 'learn' feature.
My 2011 Hyundai Elantra has Bluetooth and it’s not the limited one
Why can't you simply connect it to android auto/ apple?
I’m having trouble I set everything up lines up prefect everything works it’s just the theirs no sound is their someone wrong with it or something I’m doing help please
Nice buddy I'm stoked to see some new android HU videos actually!!!
tacoma!?
I have a 2014 elantra with backup camera. Does this head unit plugnplay to still operate the camera? Also..does the unit have navigation built in? If it does...im assuming it uses your phones data to operate?
Hello, there is support for reverse camera. I haven't done it on this car but countless other ones
@@JohnNguyenVincent ok..so based on your experience..the oem camera thats currently plugged into my oem head unit will just plugnplay with the oem connections and operate the backuo camera as an oem unit? Or are there extra connections/splices that need to be made?
Jim i have a android radio similar to this and I had to buy a canbus harness for my factory camera to work
im gonna go out on a limb and say you broke the plastic around the clock because it was so easy to take apart and failed to mention it is challenging... on the side pieces you are right they pull straight back but " it is easy" is an exaggeration because they are tight as hell.... you should pin my comment or edit the video because your average person will break stuff... obviously
I have the 2013 limited edition. Any tips so I don't break the trim.? Oh an mine has Bluetooth 😂
So I installed it but I don’t have any power going to it. It came on but now it’s just off
Hi John, where can i buy this from? Just got a 2013 HE. Want this in my car the first thing!
5:37 what did I hear you say 😂
You know what i mean by it lol.
Did the steering wheel controls still work on this?
I have the same question
I have the same model and the original radio don’t have Bluetooth, so there are not any steering wheel controls.
Yes, the steering wheel controls work. Needs configuration first.
@@marvelr6926 what does "need configuration first" mean actually? im getting the unit today and going to install tonight
@@kevincabrera1893 in order for the steering wheel controls to work is not only plug and play. There is a system configuration option that makes it automatically but to be honest I don’t know the process, the technician that installed mine did it and it was super quick and configured automatically several settings. I haven’t found a single video where they show how to do that, he even used a PIN number when he entered those system settings. But there is another option where you can configure the SWC manually. You will find the option in the settings, I believe it comes as “SW learning”, in your steeling wheel you press and hold the desired button and on the screen you click on the action you want that button to perform.
Will the steering wheel volume controls still work?
NO
Yes it will.
@@lemondubs how?
I was wondering the same thing
Mine 2012 Limited has Bluetooth, it is kind of your fault if you cheeped out on original HU and now buying replacement with huge ? if it will work at all
You fancy huh
I am just wondering about actually installing a laptop stand in my car i haven't seen too many for the
hyundai Elantra And i don't need it to be for the online care just some day to show me What adjustments to make if it's not for the Elantra.
Is there a similar thing like this but apple carplay? I only seem to find android.
question?? how did u get the usb to work? i mean the factory usb port below the ac control panel next to the aux input. I insert my usb stick and the radio does not see it at all.
Did you fix?
Will be even better if it has a backup camera
This fits the 2015 Elantra as well? if so ,any differences?
I’m pretty sure it does but 2014’s elantras have a slight interior upgrade with the ac vents being between the radio instead of the bottom. Suggest looking at the product description to see if it will fit for 2014 - 2016.
So I just installed this unit and now I can't get any sound? Any suggestions?
Does your car have a factory amp? If so you need to give tap the "remote amp" to the factory remote amp wire. I had that issue with a few oem units that use factory amps
@@JohnNguyenVincent no, no factory amp. Spoke with customer service and they said it only works on 2011 and 2012 models but fits in others. I noticed you didn't have to remove the clock and in my 2013 the clock is attached to the factory unit
Hi! I have a 2012 Limited version with OEM radio screen and I’m trying to install this android unit but can’t get any sound at all. Were you able to find a solution??
@@marvelr6926 nope that was my same issue! I ended up sending it back in. That's weird that you are having that issue cause they said its for a 2012
@@wigschevy4208 So I asked an expert technician and he explained that these radios don't come plug and play for Limited versions. For my car I had to buy a different interface than the one included with this headunit. The guy happened to have the interface I needed so I paid him for it and installation. It is now working perfectly fine even my OEM backup camera
Ok why does limited Hyundai ELANTRA have no sound
Have everything plugged in and I can’t get any radio stations. I switched it over to USA in the radio settings but still nothing. Anyone else have this problem?
