  • After commentating the MLF Heavy Hitters Tournament on Lake Toho in Florida there was one key that was totally different when it came to frog fishing that no one was talking about.

He also pulled the legs off his frogs and super glued jig rattles in where the legs would be. Extra sound helps get those fish to bite in the thicker grass. Smart!

Lake weohyopaka also called walk on water down in Polk county. 70% of the lake was hydrilla to the top. Even in 15-20 feet of water. One of the best lakes I ever fished. I got 2nd in a club tournament there when I was 15 yrs old. Haven't been there since like 1998. Probably all screwed up by now. But man what a lake

Michigan was loaded with the stuff and frogging is done before moving to flip the holes. Very effective method and we did this back in the 90’s. I have been living in Florida for over 20 years now.

I absolutely love the zoo pop. It walks incredibly well. Great video man.. I love when you talk about my favorite baits- let’s me know I’m a little step ahead of most… I’ve been crushing em in pads with these baits with a heavy worm jig to follow up ones that missed. Been wrecking 3-6pounders in upstate ny with them love your stuff JT your the man

We do this on the Cooper River here in SC. Outside the hydrilla at low tide and over the hydrilla on the higher tide.

I grew up fishing tournaments in Toho well the Central Florida the Hydrilla throughout the chain has literally taken over used to be some of the best bass fishing in the country now when they drain the lakes down almost impossible to fish

I bought two of those zoo dogs and was very disappointed. They take on water almost immediately and dont drain. Same as the new Bobby s perfect frogs. I had such high hopes.

I rather pay for a punching gear instead.

Just goes to show you that common knowledge is not always correct. There are always exceptions to everything. My question is how did Jordan Lee figure that out? What tipped him off?

Off subject. What are your thoughts on largemouth eating blue crabs in brackish water. I have been fishing a lot in brackish water and seeing a lot of baby blue crabs. Was thinking of throwing a gulp crab on power shot ?

They eat whatever's available. In the gulf coast marshes they'll eat crabs, shrimp, whatever fits in their mouth
