Jan Misali erotic schoolboy fanfic when
@@AkashWShah he is asexual so sadly never
@@echo5156 Never underestimate fanfic writers.

I couldn't help myself, and pulled Jan into the locker. His body collapsed on top of mine, like a Jenga tower with one too many bricks removed. I stared longingly into his eyes.
"Gasp!" I gasped, not expecting him to return my gaze. There was a hunger in his eyes that I couldn't dare turn away from.
"But Jan!" I cried confusedly, "your asexual!"
But Jan just shook his head and laughed, and I could feel the vibrations in his chest as our bodies pressed closer together.
"This is a erotic High School AU fanfic," he explained airily, "do you really think the author would care if they even knew that in the first place?"
"Well," I mused, bitting my lip, "I do think you're first name is 'Jan', so maybe your onto something."
And then we had sex.

it's gonna be an interesting picture for unpa
How would you illustrate abstract concepts? Also, most toki pona words have multiple meanings
I was thinking the same thing. Like it would be really hard considering the abstractions, but even a really unprofessional looking collage of images would be a significant help for more visual learners

I literally just started learning Toki Pona like, a week or so ago after seeing your videos about it, I didn't know it was almost its anniversary! I'll report back about the educational value of the tokirap; if it gets stuck in my head and helps me remember vocab. I've never learned a conlang before, so it's been having some trouble sticking.
I have never seen your channel, nor ever heard of toki pona, yet now I am interested in both. Plus I have the strange urge to push you into a locker.

I don’t know what I’m feeling now
While you were talking about different ways to approach a project like this, another approach occurred to me: something more similar to pangrams like "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" or "sphinx of black quartz judge my vow". Verses made of real Toki Pona sentences, such that each one describes a situation you could imagine in your head (even if it's a silly one), and together they happen to cover the whole vocabulary.
I think I'll keep that in mind as a fun project idea for another day :)

you can sort toki pona words by ethymology-nation, which gets you roughly 12*11 almost equal sized groups, where 2 are shared/misc, as you may group 2 smaller nations together.

I love this joke so much. i realized that same connection myself like a year ago, but you nailed it.

I just realized that your first name isn't actually "jan" 🤦
This is gonna be wild and I love it already.
The Sims have been real quiet since this dropped
The voiced stops would be very proud!
All pokemon names are onomatopoeia. they are named after their sound, and they do not speak their name, because they do not speak. this is kinda why the pokerap works.
Toki pona is 10% onomatopoeia, etymologically.
nothing rhymes with kepeken.
I often think about making a conlang that is 100% onomatopoeya. there are enough common onoms andmany of them work like a fable-adverb, BUT they vary a lot between languages for the same sound, and they are not just vowel shifts or repetition-variations of each other.
Memorize ‘em all!
it is,,, so easy to forget that this is also a music channel
it's a "whatever mitch likes" channel, and i am all for it
this channel has me so interested in conlanging. i want to learn toki pona so i can make vocaloid covers using it
"why is that why you want to learn the conlang" hyperfixation

so... i think im gonna learn toki pona by graphing the vocab onto pokemon, because i know nearly all ~900 pokemon by name, i can learn this tiny vocab, expecially if i just.. graph meaning onto something i already know (and is visual)
Oh shit, toki pona was published online the day before I was born, that’s neat
Now I wonder what it'd be like if someone tried translating every Pokemon's name into toki pona?
That would be amazing!
I'm actually working on translating Pokémon names into my conlang.
I’ve only known the basics of toki pona for about twenty minute and i was able to figure out how to describe a specific thing on my desk. But I’ve been trying to learn Japanese (admittedly, without legit lessons or resources) for ten years and I still can’t construct sentences.
I’m not complaining, but I just think it’s and interesting though.
I've never heard of this language. The fact that it's so few words means it should simultaneously be very easy to learn and a challenge to translate, which I love. I've been struggling to push myself to learn another language for a while, and I love the idea of learning something so useless.
Also I want to make a program to automatically translate between English and toki pona. Obviously it would be extremely limited, but it sounds like a fun challenge to try.
oh boy
Holy cow, Toki Pona is older than I am (only by 9 days, but still)
It took me a second to realize that he was referring to brian when he said 'buh duh guh'
I didn't register that the picture you put over his face in the thumbnail was your icon, and thought you were just Censoring BDG.
Truly amazing video, but my one probleem with it is that it's not a Gesamtkunstwerk...
Lil Misali gonna spit some bars 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I thought this was going to be a Song involving every single Toki Pona word exactly once
