Very enjoyable and informative, Kebu! Looking forward to more videos showcasing your collection! Thank you for producing these behind-the-scenes videos.
Hello Kebu, I enjoyed hearing the sound of your voice. It is the first time that I have heard you speak on a video. One of the best investments I ever made was in purchasing an external speaker system for my laptop. The sound I get from my Altec Lansing system is amazing! I consider you to be one of the best electronic music performers and composers ever! I have enjoyed your many performances and concerts, and wish you continued success with your music career! Your fan, Will Ortiz
Took me instantly to a hover over the frozen snowfield, icicles hanging like festoons from the trees, the pines, birches and all the trees bathed in glorious white snow and a lone bird which is flying through the snow to its unknown and forlorn destination.....Magic....

Get the Polivoks. Partially a Minimog Model D copy but more stable and with an awsome filter that no japanese synth has. Can recomend Aelita, Polivoks, Alisa 1377 and 1387 and Altair 231/ Estradin 230. No programs or MIDI but MIDI kits can be bought for installement. The drum machines are exeptional. Mostly analogue gear. The digital effects are weird and sound different from western gear.
7 thumbs down? Really? Kebu shares his studio and a demo and you give a thumbs down for that? Ungrateful wretches! Thanks Kebu for this outstanding video!!! Wonderful!!!
Maybe because the video feels more like a Roland Jupiter X and Xm promotion than a presentation of his collection and that if this is what it is then it should be presented as such. This said, Roland can hardly have better ambassador for it's vintage emulation synths. Side note: these two Korg MS 20 on top... they seem a bit out of place in the middle of this Roland gang.
Thanks for sharing .... Like your setup... I sold my juno 60 in the past and other stuff to get a Kurzweil K2000 ... (This was very popular in the 90') Would like having again a Juno. I'm surprised about the sound of the Jupiter X because it's not a really analog engine ...
Love you are playing two instruments I have, the Roland SH 2000 and Juno 6 🤗😺 I have also a Jupiter 50, can play a day on them. I'm going to buy the Jx boutique to complete
I'm still on the fence whether to buy a JPX. This has nudged me slightly closer to having one but I need to see if they are weighted keys and if the presets have classic instrument sounds like pianos and wind and brass or if its purely a "synth" synth... if you get my meaning. ie my jp8 is no good for a grand piano but for a rising whoosh.... get me?
The Jupiter-X does have pianos and all kinds of other instruments as well. It supports both sample-based and virtual analog synthesis, and you can layer up to four sounds.

Interesting to see. I wonder what you would consider "a lot of delay and reverb", if what you used in this video is "not much" :) Makes it sound nice, though, and I also do that to sweeten my otherwise very dry and cold DX7 (yes, I know, it's not a Roland ...). Incidentally, it also has a very good aftertouch, which I use a lot when playing solo lines. Saw you in concert in October last year in Hannover, hopefully it will be possible again next year. Stay healthy!
I was surprised as well. In my book, "lots of reverb and delay" means "cave sound" or "German Techno rave in an abandoned industrial hall / old concrete bunker".
I'm happy you like the JUNO-60 so much, I believe it's the warmest synth on the planet (tho I get pushback from other synth nerds, LOL). I get a lot of use of it (and my other favourite, my Korg Mono/Poly) on my livestream at twitch.tv/zapandersson :)
Hello from the USA, Sebastian! Looking forward to the video. I still own an alpha Juno-2 I got new in 1986. Cool to see you're using the alpha Junos. Cheers!
Fantastic set-up and wonderful playing. I noticed a JP8000 above the SH2000 but love the Juno 60. They are very similar to the Jupiters because in mythology Juno was the wife of Jupiter.
That’s awesome.....understatement “ as you can see I have quite a lot of synths” ha! ( maybe “metric sh**ton” doesn’t translate well) . I like the hardware sequencers I can see - plus I’m pleased to find someone who like me who isn’t interested in vocoders 😊Thanks Kebu for running through some of your synths🤩
We did speak about NAMM 2020, but their focus for NAMM was a bit different, so we didn't do it then. And right now we don't have any trade shows at all... :(
Great Video. I have the Juno 60 but I have noticed you are using some kind of digital delay. How are you programming sound to activate delay and some not?
It depends on the synth. I've noticed that many synths have a much higher noise level in the headphone jack. But I see no reason why you should use the headphone jack, since all synths have dedicated audio outputs.
Sending a trigger audio signal from anything in order to sync a Juno 6 (or 60) is a classic trick which is good to teach to the newcomers.
