Can I just say that the fact that this doesn't seem at all influenced by any Sonic.EXE content like vs. Sonic.EXE or Xenophanes or even the original My5tCrimson fangame or anything of that sort is absolutely commendable? As someone who's gone out of their way to read through every line of text from the original creepypasta and document every last thing to its most accurate possible detail, I can very, VERY clearly tell how much you've carefully read through the original story for the assets and lyrics in this video. This feels like an actual fan song based on the original Sonic.EXE creepypasta and nothing more, as if it was made before anything except the pasta back in 2011. You've got all the references down, from the musical similarity of Hill Act 1 (the one influential exception) at the beginning to the use of EXE's original phrases and the original zone names to the background assets of Green Hill Zone, Scrap Brain Zone/Stardust Speedway bad future, and during the chorus actually original assets based on ... instead of reusing Marble Zone's background assets- the brick walls turning from purple to red with the checker tiled floor below, the fact that you used a laugh SIMILAR to the Kefka Laugh instead of the actual clip, since the original outright stated it was not the same sound but rather something that just sounded similar... So, SO much care was put into this song and its visuals, I have NEVER seen something respect the original story to this degree and for that I absolutely commend your work- this is absolutely fantastic.
What's even more impressive is that he stayed very true to the og material while still throwing in references to other content here and there. There's a reference to Majin Sonic and I'm pretty sure another towards Needlem0use. The lyrics are brilliant.
Thank you so much! On the livestream where I wrote the song with chat, we combed through the original creepypasta several times for all the best inspiration. And yes, I recorded both kefka laughs myself. The first was a single laugh being played through an SNES sound chip emulator to try and really match the original. The one just before the last chorus is actually just me with no processing, I kind of just figured out how to do the laugh 😅
@@longestsoloever The first being bitcrushed and the second being normal quality is actually ANOTHER similarity with the original considering it's stated that at the end, the laugh sounds as if it's coming from directly behind Tom-- not part of the game- so even if you didn't mean it, once again, another clever reference to the original!! You have no idea how many times I've replayed this song honestly, it's the best EXE song I've ever heard just because of how faithful it is. Once again, outstanding job.
Actually, I love the way this song kinda goes over the whole story. Starting at Hill, with Tails as the first victim who's an actual friend of Sonic. Starting by acting as Sonic, he messes with Tails. All of the lyrics sound like it's EXE directly talking to Tails. In the 2nd verse, it mentions counteracting against him, fighting back, yet being too slow, and EXE being just out of reach because he keeps disappearing, until he lastly appears behind him and goes in for the kill, this fits the description of Knuckles' part of the story. The third part is either him to talking to all his victims, or Robotnik (Maybe the viewer?) Then the ending can probably be considered as EXE taking over in general, possibly even to the viewer. I love how the lyrics are set up to match with the story, and it is so smart. Whether they were on purpose, or not, amazing job on this dude!

I can’t tell which “Do you want to play with me?” Part is better. The original, taken out of the live streams, sound much less fragmented and sane, while also being much easier to hear and having a taste of slight classical parts is VERY good. But in the official song version, it’s much more fitting to the songs genre and inspiration, and it sounds AMAZING! I keep relistening to them both but I just can’t decide which is the better one! Amazing work on this song, either way. I definitely didn’t expect the song to hit this hard mentally, especially to people like me who’ve been interested with the original creepypasta since it came out. The song strays from the FNF content, which I’m sure everybody is liking, and it seems more related to the actually creepypasta than the game adaptations or video adaptations. Wonderful work, LSE!
this, although when it was released i preferred some of the original live stream parts were better, but after listening to it for a few times i'm unsure which one i prefer although i think i like the full song more now. i personally love the buildup to the guitar at the beginning, sends a chill down my spine lol.

This song perfectly encapsulates what Sonic.EXE is: A cold-blooded, egotistical killer playing god, yet ironically confined to his own virtual prison, but able to briefly leave through his gateway, the disk. One that only wants to play in the most twisted ways possible, and views us as playthings.
Correction, He isn't confined to a virtual prison. He's a blob of dark matter that created it's own universe within hours, The videogame disk is simply something he created to be some sort of gateway to it so he can drag you into his own world. He can very much teleport to you and take you there himself, But that isn't quite as fun

The like, plucky piano in the intro is so anxiety inducing 👁👄👁 then it turns into a crunchy rock song that reminds me of modern sonic game music and it bumps. i see the 1:21 part of the song as the first "game" you play with him where it becomes very clear that it isnt sonic and somethings wrong, overall a very good song, tops even the mandela catalogue video for me
DUDE, YOU KILLED THIS! Even after the sneak peak this completely blew my expectations out of the water. Love the vocal effects you used in the beginning, gave me heavy TLT vibes. And that beat switch up at 3:15 legit gave me goosebumps lol. Definitely without a doubt one of, if not the best song you've put out yet!
This right here shows that the community can make the original thing much more terrifying and fun Sonic.EXE was meant to be scary, but it was during the time when we were all just children, but as time went on, we grew stale of the whole .EXE concept to the point where Sonic.EXE was nothing more than just a simple joke. But after the original creator got called out for being a creepy person, there was a charity event being held and LuigiKid (god bless this man) and a few others saved the EXE community and revived it. Some EXEs are even trying to recreate the original storyline except make it better. For example; Lord X is basically Sonic.EXE but WAY more creepier and scary and Needlemouse is taking the original story but twisting it to make its own original story. Tom and Kyle are still present but what’s different about Needlemouse is that instead of this being created simply from dark matter, it’s simply Sonic being possessed by a woman known as Sarah, who we later know, has *correlations* between Tom and Kyle (Kyle being the son of Sarah’s ex-girlfriend and Tom being the son of Sarah’s best friend, Luther). This community has come a long ways aside from the bad things.
Literally a masterpiece, I probably have listened to this song 15 times and it never gets old. Not to mention the references to the OG Sonic.exe game as well as the "The torture is fun and *the fun will be endless"* quote which refers to Majin Sonic's appearance in Sonic CD with the quote (in Japanese) "The fun is infinite with Sega Enterprises" which proves my point at 2:56 when you can see Majin's face

Listening to this song a lot kinda resulted in a little story sprouting up in my mind. Our story would focus on a young man who’s been a fan of the Sonic series since his youth. Let’s call him...Danny. The scenario is mostly the same, Danny gets a copy of an old Sonic game sent to him by a friend, with a warning to destroy the game, not to play. Of course, he can’t help but get curious, and boots up the game despite the warning. Yet, this is where it changes from the original story. Instead of just playing the game and experiencing them from an outside view, Danny hears a deep voice in his headphones, asking if he wants to play, telling him to close his eyes and go to sleep...and, wether intentionally or otherwise, our protagonist closes his eyes, as the voice says to “keep things interesting” for them...and wakes up _in_ Green Hill. *”Hide and Seek”* Tails is there, too, and says that they need to run. Both Danny and Tails start running, as they hear a voice mocking their efforts, the same deep voice that trapped Danny here, which even mentions him being a lot of fun *“just like his friend”.* The scene transitions to the burning Angel Island, and Danny and Tails hear loud, sinister laughter coming from behind them. Then, in a flash, _something_ grabs Tails, and brutally murders the poor fox in front of our hero...something that...vaguely resembles Sonic, but with eyes full of evil intent, the crimson orbs staring into the man’s soul. It speaks to Danny. *”Would you like to try again?”* Then...it’s gone. Fearing for his life, the young man keeps running, even when it seems like he’s safe...until he hears that _thing_ whisper *“behind you”* and kicks into a full sprint. He keeps on running for his life, even as the voice calls out from somewhere around him. *”You Can’t Run.”* Soon, Danny finds himself in Scrap Brain Zone, with Knuckles. Knuckles is strong, so he should be able to beat this imposter, right? Wrong. When it appears, Knuckles, and Danny, both repeatedly fail to hit this “Sonic”, as it keeps dashing just out of their reach. Finally, Knuckles hits his limit, panting heavily as sweat forms on his brow...and this unholy creature takes that chance to kill the echidna then and there. It looks to Danny again, who runs just as he hears it’s mocking message. *”You’re too slow.”* He keeps running, and running, even as the being declares it’s in his mind, the voice disembodied once again. The words *”behind you”* are now yelled, sending chills down his spine. It says something about *”so many souls to play with”* and how it has *”so little time”* and the silence after is deafening. *”...”* Soon, Danny finds himself in what seems to be the caverns below Marble Zone...and who else is waiting there, other than Doctor Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik. Normally, Danny wouldn’t trust the mad scientist, but right now, it was probably better that he did. Robotnik told Danny he was planning to hide until this creature in the form of his rival went away, or died...or something. It was better than letting it catch either of them. Slowly, they began descending a long flight of stairs, even as the area around them got darker. Then, from behind Robotnik came a sinister set of words. *”Found you.”* It happened in a flash. Now the once great scientist lay dead at Danny’s feet, this imposter of Sonic staring at him, with those blood red eyes. It spoke again. *“You’ve been quite fun, Danny. Perhaps more fun than Ryan. Yet, this game is at its end. You know why you can’t escape. You know the truth...”* Danny began to back up, fear on his face, and screamed in terror as four words were yelled at him, causing him to run yet again, further into the dark. *”I AM YOUR GOD!”* The environs kept twisting and changing around Danny as he ran, to areas he’d been through, and special stages, the imagery warped and demonic. Finally, he came to a dead end...with multiple corpses. There were Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik...along with Sonic himself...and Ryan, the friend that sent Danny the game, his body hung by a noose. Shortly after, Danny felt a sharp pain, and then- *GAME OVER.*

Sonic.EXE was actually the first Creepypasta I ever read, and it still has a special place in my heart (and nightmares lol). That being said, this song is honestly even more enjoyable than the story itself. I love it!

This reminds me of the dream where i was hunted by Sonic .EXE, honestly was a pretty cool dream despite all the blood. Especially ended with a boss fight with him in my grandmother's backyard.

1:54 i just realised this part is themed about Knuckles, silence in the air, the level is all quiet until a certain point where you find EXE, "just out of reach" you cant hit EXE in the Knuckles section and "counteract but you're too slow" you cant really counteract when he jumps at you. also in the "code red" song he says "counteract but you're too slow" too

Can I just say that the fact that this doesn't seem at all influenced by any Sonic.EXE content like vs. Sonic.EXE or Xenophanes or even the original My5tCrimson fangame or anything of that sort is absolutely commendable? As someone who's gone out of their way to read through every line of text from the original creepypasta and document every last thing to its most accurate possible detail, I can very, VERY clearly tell how much you've carefully read through the original story for the assets and lyrics in this video. This feels like an actual fan song based on the original Sonic.EXE creepypasta and nothing more, as if it was made before anything except the pasta back in 2011. You've got all the references down, from the musical similarity of Hill Act 1 (the one influential exception) at the beginning to the use of EXE's original phrases and the original zone names to the background assets of Green Hill Zone, Scrap Brain Zone/Stardust Speedway bad future, and during the chorus actually original assets based on ... instead of reusing Marble Zone's background assets- the brick walls turning from purple to red with the checker tiled floor below, the fact that you used a laugh SIMILAR to the Kefka Laugh instead of the actual clip, since the original outright stated it was not the same sound but rather something that just sounded similar... So, SO much care was put into this song and its visuals, I have NEVER seen something respect the original story to this degree and for that I absolutely commend your work- this is absolutely fantastic.
What's even more impressive is that he stayed very true to the og material while still throwing in references to other content here and there. There's a reference to Majin Sonic and I'm pretty sure another towards Needlem0use. The lyrics are brilliant.

And yes, I recorded both kefka laughs myself. The first was a single laugh being played through an SNES sound chip emulator to try and really match the original. The one just before the last chorus is actually just me with no processing, I kind of just figured out how to do the laugh 😅

You have no idea how many times I've replayed this song honestly, it's the best EXE song I've ever heard just because of how faithful it is. Once again, outstanding job.

Actually, I love the way this song kinda goes over the whole story.
Starting at Hill, with Tails as the first victim who's an actual friend of Sonic.
Starting by acting as Sonic, he messes with Tails. All of the lyrics sound like it's EXE directly talking to Tails.
In the 2nd verse, it mentions counteracting against him, fighting back, yet being too slow, and EXE being just out of reach because he keeps disappearing, until he lastly appears behind him and goes in for the kill, this fits the description of Knuckles' part of the story.
The third part is either him to talking to all his victims, or Robotnik (Maybe the viewer?)
Then the ending can probably be considered as EXE taking over in general, possibly even to the viewer.
I love how the lyrics are set up to match with the story, and it is so smart. Whether they were on purpose, or not, amazing job on this dude!

I can’t tell which “Do you want to play with me?” Part is better. The original, taken out of the live streams, sound much less fragmented and sane, while also being much easier to hear and having a taste of slight classical parts is VERY good. But in the official song version, it’s much more fitting to the songs genre and inspiration, and it sounds AMAZING! I keep relistening to them both but I just can’t decide which is the better one! Amazing work on this song, either way. I definitely didn’t expect the song to hit this hard mentally, especially to people like me who’ve been interested with the original creepypasta since it came out. The song strays from the FNF content, which I’m sure everybody is liking, and it seems more related to the actually creepypasta than the game adaptations or video adaptations. Wonderful work, LSE!

This song perfectly encapsulates what Sonic.EXE is: A cold-blooded, egotistical killer playing god, yet ironically confined to his own virtual prison, but able to briefly leave through his gateway, the disk. One that only wants to play in the most twisted ways possible, and views us as playthings.
Correction, He isn't confined to a virtual prison. He's a blob of dark matter that created it's own universe within hours, The videogame disk is simply something he created to be some sort of gateway to it so he can drag you into his own world. He can very much teleport to you and take you there himself, But that isn't quite as fun

DUDE, YOU KILLED THIS! Even after the sneak peak this completely blew my expectations out of the water. Love the vocal effects you used in the beginning, gave me heavy TLT vibes. And that beat switch up at 3:15 legit gave me goosebumps lol. Definitely without a doubt one of, if not the best song you've put out yet!

Sonic.EXE was meant to be scary, but it was during the time when we were all just children, but as time went on, we grew stale of the whole .EXE concept to the point where Sonic.EXE was nothing more than just a simple joke. But after the original creator got called out for being a creepy person, there was a charity event being held and LuigiKid (god bless this man) and a few others saved the EXE community and revived it.
Some EXEs are even trying to recreate the original storyline except make it better. For example; Lord X is basically Sonic.EXE but WAY more creepier and scary and Needlemouse is taking the original story but twisting it to make its own original story. Tom and Kyle are still present but what’s different about Needlemouse is that instead of this being created simply from dark matter, it’s simply Sonic being possessed by a woman known as Sarah, who we later know, has *correlations* between Tom and Kyle (Kyle being the son of Sarah’s ex-girlfriend and Tom being the son of Sarah’s best friend, Luther).
This community has come a long ways aside from the bad things.

Listening to this song a lot kinda resulted in a little story sprouting up in my mind.
Our story would focus on a young man who’s been a fan of the Sonic series since his youth. Let’s call him...Danny. The scenario is mostly the same, Danny gets a copy of an old Sonic game sent to him by a friend, with a warning to destroy the game, not to play. Of course, he can’t help but get curious, and boots up the game despite the warning. Yet, this is where it changes from the original story. Instead of just playing the game and experiencing them from an outside view, Danny hears a deep voice in his headphones, asking if he wants to play, telling him to close his eyes and go to sleep...and, wether intentionally or otherwise, our protagonist closes his eyes, as the voice says to “keep things interesting” for them...and wakes up _in_ Green Hill.
*”Hide and Seek”*
Tails is there, too, and says that they need to run. Both Danny and Tails start running, as they hear a voice mocking their efforts, the same deep voice that trapped Danny here, which even mentions him being a lot of fun *“just like his friend”.* The scene transitions to the burning Angel Island, and Danny and Tails hear loud, sinister laughter coming from behind them. Then, in a flash, _something_ grabs Tails, and brutally murders the poor fox in front of our hero...something that...vaguely resembles Sonic, but with eyes full of evil intent, the crimson orbs staring into the man’s soul. It speaks to Danny.
*”Would you like to try again?”*
Then...it’s gone. Fearing for his life, the young man keeps running, even when it seems like he’s safe...until he hears that _thing_ whisper *“behind you”* and kicks into a full sprint. He keeps on running for his life, even as the voice calls out from somewhere around him.

Soon, Danny finds himself in Scrap Brain Zone, with Knuckles. Knuckles is strong, so he should be able to beat this imposter, right? Wrong. When it appears, Knuckles, and Danny, both repeatedly fail to hit this “Sonic”, as it keeps dashing just out of their reach. Finally, Knuckles hits his limit, panting heavily as sweat forms on his brow...and this unholy creature takes that chance to kill the echidna then and there. It looks to Danny again, who runs just as he hears it’s mocking message.
*”You’re too slow.”*
He keeps running, and running, even as the being declares it’s in his mind, the voice disembodied once again. The words *”behind you”* are now yelled, sending chills down his spine. It says something about *”so many souls to play with”* and how it has *”so little time”* and the silence after is deafening.
*”...”*
Soon, Danny finds himself in what seems to be the caverns below Marble Zone...and who else is waiting there, other than Doctor Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik. Normally, Danny wouldn’t trust the mad scientist, but right now, it was probably better that he did. Robotnik told Danny he was planning to hide until this creature in the form of his rival went away, or died...or something. It was better than letting it catch either of them. Slowly, they began descending a long flight of stairs, even as the area around them got darker. Then, from behind Robotnik came a sinister set of words. *”Found you.”* It happened in a flash. Now the once great scientist lay dead at Danny’s feet, this imposter of Sonic staring at him, with those blood red eyes. It spoke again.
*“You’ve been quite fun, Danny. Perhaps more fun than Ryan. Yet, this game is at its end. You know why you can’t escape. You know the truth...”*
Danny began to back up, fear on his face, and screamed in terror as four words were yelled at him, causing him to run yet again, further into the dark.
*”I AM YOUR GOD!”*
The environs kept twisting and changing around Danny as he ran, to areas he’d been through, and special stages, the imagery warped and demonic. Finally, he came to a dead end...with multiple corpses. There were Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik...along with Sonic himself...and Ryan, the friend that sent Danny the game, his body hung by a noose. Shortly after, Danny felt a sharp pain, and then-
*GAME OVER.*

This reminds me of the dream where i was hunted by Sonic .EXE, honestly was a pretty cool dream despite all the blood. Especially ended with a boss fight with him in my grandmother's backyard.
I was there for most of the first stream and part of the second, i loved it!
-although i do have to say that i preferred some of the parts more during the streams, but regardless of that its still a great song!-
I have listened to it again and there's only one part that i think could have been better now, i know i'll be addicted to this for quite a while lol!

1:54 i just realised this part is themed about Knuckles, silence in the air, the level is all quiet until a certain point where you find EXE, "just out of reach" you cant hit EXE in the Knuckles section and "counteract but you're too slow" you cant really counteract when he jumps at you. also in the "code red" song he says "counteract but you're too slow" too
