    Let me know what you think. Should we produce more of these behind-the-scenes style videos?

      yes, a great video, and work perspective, but some feedback, the lens is X mount, but the 907x is the Only body, other than the X1D/X1Dii / X2D that can fit this lens, the BACK is compatible with the V system bodies, which are v mounts, the 907x is a thin part in front of the back, and to us "aficionado's" of this system we call it by its separate parts, as it is a X and V hybrid system, the back, although it shares the v-system film magasine mount, isn't technically a v-system camera, it is a sensor back, which is compatible, and TOGETHER is called a 907x the 'X' being the system designation here, in this configuration its MORE an X camera, than a v, as it takes XcD lenses.

    Some outstanding photos. You are right, you need to test and practice new things, techniques and lighting. You had an amazing model that really brings out the color science in the Hasselblad. My 75P arrives tomorrow. I looked high and low for mine and finally found an online retailer who had one in stock, or so it said. I called and the helpful clerk went into the back room to put his hands on its for me and he found it. I bought it immediately and when I visited the website later, they were sold out. Santa has come early for me this year. Love what this P lens image quality and optics. I am not giving up anything in that area. Performance without the bells and whistles. Thanks for the insight in your shooting - something learned each and every time.

    Thanks for sharing the world you and your team work and create in. Yes pls to more of these videos, more on the creativity and process (and those stunning results), and less gear review. I noticed towards the end you physically direct the model, hands on. Some photographers consider this a no no. I wonder how you feel about physical vs verbal direction, and what tips you might share for directing and working with a model?

    • @GajanBalan
      @GajanBalan  2 месяца назад +2

      It depends on each person, but my direction is usually prompts in a broad way, and directing tiny details as needed.
      So in this instance, I told my friend to imagine a string between a point on the ceiling and his chest, imagine that string tugging you and pose around that. With that prompt, I let him play. As I shoot, I may ask them to slow down or speed up, or hold the pose and just adjust the hand slightly. It all depends.

    Great video, like seeing all the work that goes into the studio sessions. What are your thoughts on the 907x and 100c? Could you see yourself owning that camera?

    • @GajanBalan
      @GajanBalan  2 месяца назад +3

      Thanks. I gotta spend more time with it. First instinct, I personally prefer the X2D over this as a tool. But the 907x has this charm to it that makes you shoot a little different. Might do a review in the future and explore this further.

    I really enjoyed your perspective on the 90V and how beautifully it captured images in India. In your opinion, does the Hasselblad 75P perform at the same level as the 90V? From my experience, I feel the difference in image quality between the 80mm f/1.9 and the 90V is relatively minor. However, I’ve noticed a more significant difference in image quality when comparing the 75P to the 90V. What are your thoughts on this?

    • @GajanBalan
      @GajanBalan  Месяц назад +1

      I feel that the 90V is just a touch better. I haven’t spent enough time to dive into a deep comparison, but so far it’s just been the better lens. At least in my experience.

    SAY MY NAME!!!!! ;) I think you may be one of the few people shooting fashion and portraits with the x2d/907 and as I wrestle with that or just going to Phase One with the larger sensors really fit our flow.

    • @gentleman0678
      @gentleman0678 2 месяца назад +2

      Hopefully this is helpful. I have both the x2d and the iq3 100mp I thought one would be a clear winner but they are both great. If I had to pick one right now as the only system to keep I would keep the phaseone. I love hasselblads color, but not being able to use capture one natively is a bummer because I love capture one! Plus Iove the phase one lenses! If you're in the US reach out to capture integration in Atlanta. Dave who is the owner has been great to work with and he’s a photographer as well. They sell both systems and more. I purchased both my cameras and broncolor lights from them. You can rent them and decide.

      @@gentleman0678 Thanks so much! I am based in LA, I'll be renting both to shoot some cast photos of a TV show and as huge as the P1 is, I don't think it'll bother me since I used to handhold the RZ67. The prices are dropping rapidly and those trimmable blue ring lenses (chef's kiss). I'll see if the Hassy can impress me but for body and lenses, the P1 is making a better case even with people dropping them
