    So stoked to see you with the Hasselblad. Definitely one of the most underrated creators on this platform and surprised that you aren’t 1M+. Keep up the great content!

    Even though I have some basic filters, I haven’t made a habit of using them. But seeing some of the results you’re getting, and knowing how Hasselblad likes to render those colors, it’s making me reconsider. Especially just throwing on a CPL for nature stuff. Nice video!

    These filters are incredibly high quality. Matte box quality for smaller cameras and much cheaper

    Title: Putting filters on Hasselblad X2D

  • @davidmurray5926
    @davidmurray5926 Месяц назад

    So, is this video sponsored by Lexar, Pexar or maybe even Nisi or Hasselblad 🙄

    • @benjhaisch
      @benjhaisch  Месяц назад

      I get it, sort of part of the joys of needing to put thing together in the backend and waiting for approval on things. Originally was going to just make a video simply taking photos in the mountains, but weather obviously derailed that a bit. The ad read needed to be posted before 11/10 but didn’t get approved until 11/7 so this is the video it made it on to. Generally if obviously like to separate things out more, but it happened to work out this way. I have a future project with Hasselblad, but I was genuinely really excited to take half a day and get some time with it, so I thought it’d be a good opportunity for a video as the Hasselblad and Leica videos are often the first ones I personally click on. Hope that helps make some sense of it.

      @@TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel the key is if youtube photographers are still using them in 6-9-12months time? When I was researching the X1Dii, I found most had stopped using it and moved back to their original system.

      @@jkspepper05 At least Benj still uses his Hasselblad pretty often. I'm also curious how many photographers will still do that in the future and how many Earth Explorer editions will eventually show up on the used market. :D

    • @benjhaisch
      @benjhaisch  Месяц назад +1

      @TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel yeah, I can’t speak for obviously for others, but I use my 907X all of the time and it’s why I reached out to Hasselblad to ask if I could borrow an X2D to compare them. I get a ton of questions about the two and thought I’d have a pretty different perspective from most having used both.

    1. I wish Hasselblad had lower f stop lenses to get the true medium format look. 2. I hope the X3D has at least prior gen sony/canon autofocus equivalent for better use with wedding and studio photography with motion.

    • @benjhaisch
      @benjhaisch  Месяц назад

      I’ve definitely pitched some fast primes with no autofocus but still a leaf shutter as artistic lenses.

    • @jdpst20
      @jdpst20 Месяц назад

      2.5 and 2.8 and even the 1.9 is still fast as can be. Idk how much faster you really want? These lenses yield amazing results. Shoot portraits with the 135 f2.8 and it looks pretty similar to a 6x7 or 6x6 image out of fill.
      Love the magnet filter idea just not being able to put the lens cap back on. I have some ND filters for video that are larger than the lens cap but for a walk about camera I prefer to be able to toss on the cap.

    • @benjhaisch

    • @ajakwerth
      @ajakwerth Месяц назад

      I dont know who would want faster than 2.5 on this sensor. the lenses yield AMAZING results with a very distinctive look. way different than the fuji offerings (which is why I sold my Fuji and bought the x2d with the 55 and 38)
