LOVED this format. Was goanna say I wanted more time with the photos without the data then BAM, there it was at the end. Anyway, really enjoyed the feeling of tagging along for the wander. Thank you
Dude, this was so enjoyable to watch. Really cool to get to see you explore freely and meet people. This makes me want to plan a photo trip to a nearby city in Arkansas. Also, great music choice!
I enjoyed your video tour of Cincinnati! I live in the area and have frequently been to many of the places you photographed - it was interesting to see your take on those locations. When a person has been in a place for a long time, it is easy for potential images to slip by, because they are part of their everyday world - there ceases to be anything "special" about them. Seeing a place through "fresh eyes" is a good reminder that there can be special images in the sights that appear routine. It does require we look harder and with an open-minded intention at the world around us when we are shooting.
Nice episode Matt. 😊 (loved the portraits of your buddies - and that you love making images.) My brother and I had a photographer buddy visit today and we all went to a nearby underpass - which is all painted with weird angel artwork. We took a speedlite in a 26" Rapidbox and mixed flash and ambient light down there. We all watched your video together this evening after our meal.
The Peebles/Serpent Mound/all of the mountainous SE part of the state is really cool for photos. For an actual city, Dayton is a must visit. The river, the UD campus, Oregon District, and some of the suburbs like yellow springs could all be great areas
Another fun bit of wandering around. I've been "through" Cincinnati countless times, but the only times I've stopped are for Reds games at the old Riverfront Stadium (including Pete Rose's 3000th hit), and Crosley Field before that. If you come to Cleveland, it would be cool to meet up, but I hate cities, so I almost never go into town. I'm just a small-town boy, living' in a ... Oh, wait, wrong song. ;) Thanks for taking's along!
I was probably one of the few that suggested using the screen to move your focus point. I hope it helped. The X1D II also had it, but it was not as good. In the X2D, it's much smoother, the focus point just glides in to place.
oh I would love to have this kit one day. for real. is the only digital setup I see myself using. I wish I could buy it from you. btw, love this video setup on the 'wild'
I'd love to walk you about Fair Portsmouth, just down the road! All the railroad stuff, abandoned factories, the river, Shawnee Forest, the Lake, the murals. I'm a hobbyist photographer, but we have a dude who has been a real historian of the town with his work, and he's friends with my wife. We could maybe get him to show us the best spots.
Great video and as someone who does not live in the US it is great to see new places. Love your idea of going out to shoot towns and cities in Ohio and look forward to seeing some new places and your great images.Quick question have you lost your love for Leica camera’s and specially your Leica film camera?
Let us know if you come to Cbus, I'd like to join. I'm shooting more 35mm film and would love to learn from the master! I don't know if you're into nature photography but, Wayne's national forrest might be a cool place to shoot.
nice to see Cincinnati . What lens did you use? oh. I see the XCD55V in your hand at 2:13 great walk-about. edit update: If I'd posted after watching the entire video, you do say what the lens was! my bad LOL
The Hassy is so cool as a do it all camera, but is a little on the big side for EDC camera. I have child and so as you know not much time to shoot. I prefer a tiny Leica or Fuji to have with me. Easy to carry and good image quality. The Hassy I a little on the big side (body and lenses)
I’m a film photographer from central Ohio. I’d say Lancaster could be a good one. Maybe even Newark or Athens. I’m planning on taking a day trip to Newark as I’ve never shot there and am curious what they’ve got 🙌🤣
Lovely video thanks. What an amazing camera wow. I'd be so scared just carrying it. It's probably worth about 3x as much as my car with just one lens on it. The price seems more justified than a Leica M11 somehow. Maybe it's because the alternatives can produce near Leica quality, but you pay for the Leica experience. With this one, you simply pay for the ability to take images that are not entirely reproduceable in a much more affordable system otherwise.
I live in Dayton and grew up in Cincy. Street photography is an… interesting challenge here in Ohio 😂 I also hate the amount of cars here, they ruin shots all the time. Seems like you enjoyed yourself, though!
Thoughts from an Appalachian: Y'all should visit Zanesville, Ohio where my dad lives on 7th street. Go talk to the Zanesville Artist Colony peoples they'll show you around.
I want one but I don’t need one. I own a Z8 and can adapt all my beautiful F lenses and Sigma Art lenses on it. The Viltrox 75mm 1.2 and even the Nikon 24mm 1.7 are super lenses. The heck, even a Leica 42.5 1.2 and Olympus 25mm 1.2 can shoot similar pictures… But DAMN ! I want this Hassleblad 😂
Strange that you identify all pertinent technical data except the focal length of the lens being used. That's an important piece of information for many viewers.
@@goldenstasgs Hey Stanislav Dudnik I’ve seen your photos and videos. I honestly believe you should take your own advice and apply it. Taking photos of a mountains and seagulls ain’t it. Also horrible hand posture on the piano

Love the love for the home state! Would love to see you here in Dayton.
Thanks for coming down to Cincinnati and chopping it up with me. I had a blast hanging with you and your friends. 🫶🏾
Bring back casual RUclips. No need (not always) for a story or point or review. Just nice to vicariously “hang”.

As a guy that shoot in Cincy, above ground power lines are the bane of my existence in OTR
Haha, I can imagine.

Clever video title. As always, amazing photos!
That's all Tyler's idea!

Cincinnati is a VIBE! Great work, bud!

There is Canton Akron area but might be tough to make a day of it.
Keep on cruisin’ down to Lexington, man!
I need to do that!

Welcome to the Queen City. Oh look, the sun came out for you. That's really rare around here in the winter 😉

We got real lucky! The days leading up to this day and the days that followed were all rough.

Free camera and lens!!!! Really unbiased review.
Make a river city tour. Hit Portsmouth, Ironton, Gallipollis etc and follow the Ohio until you get to the OH/WV/PA border.
You have to study composition in photo.
