Silay City, also known as the "Paris of Negros", has a rich history and cultural heritage. It is also home to around 31 ancestral houses, some of which are already lifestyle museums but many are still being occupied as family homes. Hope you can come back and walk from Balay Negrense up to the Cinco de Noviembre marker (canyon) then turn left to walk up to 1925 cafè. You will find ancestral houses on both sides of the road including that of National Artist Leandro Locsin. Walking down that street feels like walking back in time. 😍❤️

Hello , im watching “ oldest house in Pagsanjan”. To clarify Banyo is shower room & kasilyas is toilet room. Noon pong panahon hiwalay ang toilet sa shower room which i find it more convenient , pwde magamit yung banyo habang may gumagamit ng kasilyas

Maraming tinda daw yan, para siyang SM, may glassware, damit mga accessories, hindi ko lang sure kung may grocery yan nong panahon ng nanay ko kasi sabi niya department store daw yan. Tapos yong El Ideal na convert na yan sa restaurant, dindayo diyan yong molo soup nila don sila kilala, tsaka fresh lumpia, may mga tinda din silang mga delicacies ng Silay. Yong Baldevia alam ko Pension house yan, diyan kami tumira nong umuwi kami before pandemic. Yong San Deigo church diyan ako na binyagan He He He.. kuwento niya dati daw pag yong mass ng 11:00 am yon daw ang pag simba ng mga mayayaman don daw yan mga naka upo sa harap, tawag nila don high mass. One thing I observe with Silaynons, they don't only know how to preserve their heritage but also they pay their respects by not vandalizing them, unlike the Bacolodnons who cared less by painting grafittis every chance they get on buildings even on newly painted structures.
