Power and energy. It’s Agent Steel. Best speed metal band for all times and of the world

There is no unequivocal opinion about the first music album in the speed metal genre. It is believed that this was Metallica's debut album Kill 'em All in 1983, but in fact the genre was finally formed on the first album of the Canadian band Exciter Heavy Metal Maniac, which was released in the same 1983, but a little earlier than Metallica's debut album. Also Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good! and Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying? by Megadeth. Speed metal also includes the album Metal on Metal (1982) by the Canadian band Anvil.
Speed metal traditionally includes the band Motörhead, the early albums Blind Guardian (Battles of Fear, Follow the Blind), Helloween (Walls of Jericho), Running Wild period Under Jolly Roger - Masquerade, the first album Metallica Kill 'em All, the first album Anthrax Fistful of Metal, early works Iced Earth, Rage, music by Judas Priest from the Painkiller album period, as well as the bands Living Death, Scanner, Agent Steel, Grave Digger, Sacred Steel, Angel Dust, Chroming Rose, Annihilator, works by Riot (Thundersteel album)

@@F.I.O. yes but don't make a confusion between speed metal and thrash metal..the albums you cite about kill em all , killing is my business and fistful of metal are definitely in the thrash category which is for sure an evolution of speed metal.

I was there, I was 16 years old. Atomkraft, Onslaught, Nuclear Assault and Agent Steele. I specifically went to see Nuclear Assault, their first time in the UK. The gig was called The Longest Day as it was on 21st June , the longest day of the year.

I never knew until recently that James Murphy was the touring guitarist here. I heard an interview of his where he said that he was playing this tour. It was Before he joined Death. His hair looks different here. Either he dyed his hair black, or he is wearing a wig. He normally had lighter hair and it was more curly. I can still tell it's him, it's definitely his face. lol

Is James Murphy the one in the left (audience point of you)? Cause I don’t think it’s the guy in the right but who knows. I just found out myself about his association with Agent Steel. You learn something new everyday. Still one of my favorite guitarists next to Greg Howe. Been a fan since 1990 with Death’s- Spiritual Healing.

The guitarists get going, then the singer comes in totally out of sync/tune with the rest of the band, says a few words, screams, says a few words, screams, repeat, repeat, repeat and doesnt try to follow anyone's timing, even the drummer's. These guys may be skilled individually but their styles do not gel well together, they're all off on their own shredding banging and screaming, seemingly unconcerned with trying to develop something that works/blends with any of the other members - its just 4 guys slamming out a mess.
