Under Cover Guitar thanks man. Love your channel your covers are really well done. You might want to consider doing some king gizzard as I get so many requests for guitar covers but I want to stick to bass.
Octoe3 have you ever tried using a metronome? It's extremely helpful when it comes to build up speed and dexterity with the pick. Try and set it at a slow tempo and playing two notes (up and down) with the pick and slowly speeding up as you get more comfortable. It's going to help.
That's good man but using a pick is essential sometimes. You won't be able to fully recreate a similar sound to any parquet courts song without it! Best thing to do is being able to play with both fingers and pick.
Amedeo S True I suppose the goal is to be well rounded, I’ll keep practicing either way. At this stage I’m kind of wary of forming bad habits like I did years ago with guitar, so typically I’ll only use a pick if I know the bassist used one on the recording, so whenever I’m learning a Yes song I’ll use a pick like Chris Squire did.
Bass on this whole album is jaw-dropping. Awesome job!
Bowlbo totally agree with you, firebird II is my favorite to play

Yes! All the covers on my channel are in standard tuning
Do you use a pick? I'm just having trouble keeping up the speed of the main riff just plucking so any tips would be appreciated
