Justin Fields had this same coaching staff without Waldron and less skill players but he never got the benefit of the doubt and he had a bad OLine as well where does the excuses stop
Julian, I just think that we in the general public are not being fair and consistent with these rookies. Like, why is Caleb Williams seeming to get significantly more excuses than a Bo Nix, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye ? Bo Nix feels like he gets made fun of for bad games. People don't seem to really care about Drake Maye lmao, and as for Jayden Daniels, there are some Caleb Williams supporters that always want to seem to poke holes in his game. I just want to know why this seems to be the case
She’ll be an average qb in a few years. The problem is not what they sold us and she will always be compared to what we could have got with that number one pick and how that could have changed the trajectory of the franchise
Zach Wilson was no different from Caleb Williams couple great to good throws bad coaching I will say Caleb has more skill players but Caleb and Zach Wilson are the same QBs
lol the same QB… Wilson was the #2 overall pick and was benched multiple times and hasn’t played since last year. Bo Nix beat him out as the starter. In 3 seasons he’s had 23 tds to 25 INTs with a 12-21 record. Williams has so much more upside it’s hilarious.
Ever think about reacting to/reviewing "The Facility"? Some of the best and worst takes. James Jones is the only who isnt completely ridiculous. Their recent videos were driving me crazy.
we were sold a bill of goods that this was an NFL ready, generational talent and best QB since Luck. CWshitter is none of that, and throwing shade for him and his pathetic play is also pathetic. Grow a pair and admit you were wrong and maybe people might respect you .
Iol… right cuz 10 NFL games is definitely a big enough sample size to determine a QBs potential lol. Here’s an idea.. quit listening to the media and the hype, let some time play out and see what happens.
This is exactly why I hate the Purdy hate.. Purdy didn't even get the benefit of practicing with the starters his rookie year and lit it up when he got in ... keep the same energy nick.. God helhas the worst arguments
You are 1000% on Nicks point that they were coaching him to be too cautious. That is far from the truth and yes you are right about expectations, which is what I had of him before the season began. because of those wild expectations some people are calling him a bust and like you said, they want 2 or 5 steps forward and to see these “wow plays” I am now a defender of Caleb from which I as different before the season. Hahaha people are wild.
Haha yeah, coaching him to be too cautious really made no sense. That's a convenient way to explain some of his stats. Isn't it crazy, preseason, you were like everyone needs to stop. He's not going to take over the league. And now that he's playing not as well, you're like everyone stop, he's not a bust. It's almost as if you're looking beyond the sensationalism, media, narratives, ,fandom, and are actually looking at the player and situation itself!
@ hahahahaha and to your latter point. I know right. What a wild concept to ACTUALLY study the game and player and take him for what he is and not drive into the media and fandom of it.
4:55 Really? I just dont get it. Everybody before the season recognized that the bears had an amazing situation for a rookie QB. Caleb Williams was the no doubt #1, best prospect since Andrew Luck. So, a great situation and the best prospect in a decade and we cant expect much? The dude struggles to throw an out route, it looks difficult for him. This guys ceiling isnt that high, far below what people thought in college. He WILL NOT play well against the vikings, although 125 yards and no turnovers is "playing well" to those who have now lowered the bar to a subterranean level for Caleb. Maybe with a historic defense and run game he can play a Russel Wilson role. I guess he can aspire to be the "best bears QB" and we can try to care about it. Who knows?
Or you could recognize that he’s played 10 NFL games, is a 22 year old rookie and you can’t determine a players career off that lol. Quit letting media hype dictate how you view players worth.
U also had a wild take I understand football enough to give him a chance but let’s everyone be real with their takes now he doesn’t look as good even at USC his last year they never won a big game and he had the crying shit man he’s just not good to me but again we shall see Baker turned his career around maybe Caleb will have to leave Chicago to prove people like me wrong
@@travisosheaCaleb last year at USC they came in the year with high expectations and they failed to win any big game his last year in college the highlight plays where there but no real wins he also had a moment he cried with his mom on the sidelines after losing I just thought was weak u get it now I never thought he was going to be good

Caleb will never be a star or superstar. He has 0 elite traits and is slower and less accurate than advertised. He also doesn't throw over the middle beyond even a few yards
I dunno man, he's made some elite type passes at times and he had 2 games where he came in clutch to win the games if it wasn't for mismanagement by the coaching staff. Saying he has 0 elite traits is just plain false.
