- Hi there!
So after a few weeks of ups and downs I have completed the rebuild of my vintage E32 BMW's tired M30 engine. It's finally installed and I am sharing it's first start up.
The original 395k block is available for sale, the cylinders need a minor clean up and should be good for another life..
Thanks for watching and be safe out there!
The bmw M30 is one of the best engines ever!
Great!!! M30b35 are so good :)
Hi, 635CSi owner here, thanks for your M30 videos, I've enjoyed them!
I'm also in the process of engine rebuild, I have a question regarding rod bolts. Do you need to replace them when doing rod bearings replacement, or will new rod nuts replacement suffice? Thanks a lot.
Hello,
Just saw this I imagine I am too late. I reused the rods the way they were (only cleaned them in a vibratory tumbler with walnut shells) and replaced the bearings.
Strange noise
Hey Carl, got a 95 F 250 with a 351w EFI 70000mi. I am loosing coolant and the radiator cap has brown sludge on it. I'm thinking it is a head gasket, cracked head, cracked block, radiator leaking transmission fluid into engine. There is no contamination in the oil or transmission. I am considering doing an engine rebuild and deleting the smog stuff, Wyoming has no state inspections. Your Bronco has the same engine and would like to pick your brain on making a good 351w EFI that is NOT nessaraliy a hot rod but good daily driver with more power for a truck. A video on your 351w and what you did would be awesome! Prey you and your family are happy and healthy. Laramiejim
Got this baby in a e30 shes missin, I should consider a rebuild
Don’t say you didn’t film the assembly process.
I only have footage of the cam replacement. Sadly I don't seem to get enough interest anymore to spend the time to film and edit a process as long as it took to assemble the engine lower end. I based this on my last two videos on this project.
Sorry to disappoint.. Thanks for the watch and the comment.

Thanks for your attention, I feel that you are giving up. Don’t. Your content is so educational and good job always pays off no matter how much time it takes. Keep up with the good job and never give in
@@Broncocarl92 I understand where you are coming from. The E32 platform (and the M30 motor when it isn't installed in an E30) aren't particularly popular. There is a subset of BMW enthusiasts who enjoy your content, however small we are! Thanks for the video.
No air flow meter on your installation?
Yes don't give up. We all love your videos. Thank you for being here.
Sounds pretty good for an old German car 😉
Thanks
My friend it's the old German cars that sound good
its a live
Please, I want a old engine to buy. How do I get in contact with you
Hello,
Just saw this now. All that is left from the rebuild is the bare cylinder block, worn pistons and worn camshaft. You have interest in these parts?
Great job as usual Carl! Enjoyed the rebuild series!
Thanks Rick.. no footage of the lower end, not enough viewers anymore :(.
@@Broncocarl92 That is a shame Carl. Your videos are some of the best learning tools I've seen. Take care!
