3 of my 4 BMWs have had engine failures. 2 from coolant leaks. 4th one I finally learned, do the cooling system maintenance before the car over heats, no issues with that one.

It's why old BMW can be cheap. Paid $2,000 for each of my old Bimmers with around 130k miles.

How much would that cost if you did it all in one go? On a 330i for example, $4-5k at a dealer?

I use BAR's leaks original on my E34, M50B25 and om E36 M43B16. Coolingwaterleak is better.

    My M50B25 E34 525i 1991 use ca 0,8 - 1,0 liter motoroil on 1000 km. Have been running ca 470 000 km. Can the rubber-sealings on the valves/valvesteerings be the problem. ? 🇳🇴Norway.

I’ve had two n52s only ever had to change coils and sparkplugs change oil every 3500 miles never had any problems as long as you keep up on them they will outlast the car itself. Both engines had over 190k on them.

M30 is like made from a block of granite.
It helps that the amount of plastics and electronics on these is practically zero.
Plastics and electronics mess up modern engines.
I have the utmost trust in my M30B25, ( yes, the baby version..😂)

M10. 1500 hp Formula 1 configuration is not something every engine can claim. Although I guess that engine was also called the "5 minute engine", but oh well :D
