You need to dispute the charges of what you already paid the property management company. Provide the photos and a sign affidavit/ move in checklist from the tents. The lies they told you to get you to pay is grounds for a charge back. Don’t let them slide on nothing. I’m so tired of people taking advantage of other people to get ahead or make a buck. It’s disgusting.
Also, file a complaint with the state real estate agency. With the proof, you may make sure they don't do this to anyone else again. We did this when our property manager failed to uphold the terms of our contract. He had to repay us what we paid him and he got a mark on his record. He cannot have anymore complaints or he loses his license in the state where the property was. We did not sue because to file would have been almost the amount of the settlement.
I would report the property management company to the Better Business Bureau as well as dispute all the charges you gave them since they violated the contract yall signed! Also get legal advice from a lawyer
After building a rental property portfolio, I became exhausted with real estate market challenges and decided to sell. Now, with about $5 million, I'm contemplating investing in the stock market with solid positions. What are your thoughts?
With $5 million, one wrong move can have significant consequences. It's crucial to invest cautiously and diversify, with 40-50% in safe investments. Given your budget, I recommend considering financial advisory services.
Absolutely! Most undervalue advisors, but their expertise and risk mitigation strategies are invaluable for savvy investors. For those with busy schedules, monitoring the market is challenging, so we delegate to experts. I'm currently working with one, and my portfolio has grown to $1.3M, a 25% increase from last year, with robust diversification and inflation hedging
This is mind blowing! As a young adult inheriting about $500k and new to stock investing, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could direct me to your advisor. I can't afford to make costly mistakes.
She goes by "Melissa Elise Robinson" I suggest you look her up. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.
Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for her full name and her website popped up immediately. I looked through her credentials and did my due diligence before contacting her.
@BobbieBeaut that is shameful and should never be the case! I’m a property manager for a few small business owners in New Hope, Crystal, and North Minneapolis, MN. If you need assistance with this property, I would love to assist or provide any resources to you.
😂😂😂😂😂 I’m glad you’re not going to get rid of the property!!!! Please 🙏 research 1031 exchange, in the future consider upgrading to a property with six or more units
When I became a landlord, I hired a property managerment😢.They was terrible and lied to the tenents. I fired them and did everthing myself. I'm happy u fired them
Well, I'll tell you. Property managers are just as hard to find. As a good hairdresser, a good mechanic, a good any professional? So don't give up on the property managers. The best way to find a good property manager is go look at their rentals around town. Some of them are on a schedule. Then they visit the property every few months and do like a walk through. When I did property management, we would do that for the first year. And then if everything was good, we wouldn't do the inspections and honesthey. You should be getting pictures with your invoices. For any deduction from the rent, you should have receipts and pictures of the foreign actor in this day and age, you should be getting videos.
Do they pay a monthly pet fee? The previous tenants should be held accountable for their undisclosed pet chewing up the walls. The current tenants should be held responsible for their cats scratching the walls. They can let them tear up your furniture, but shouldn't let them tear up the actual house. You could also be one of the landlords that makes your tenants bring appliances. I know here in Louisiana they've started to do that. They charge more for someone to use their appliances too.
Absolute right choice. You got this. Nobody like a management company takes care of your home like you would. Keep that communication open with your tenants and encourage constant photos. Good job and good luck young Boss lady ❤
Hey girl sending you love and support now that your own property manager it's going to be ups and downs but it's going to be way better than people stealing your money
VERY GOOD!!! DO YOUR OWN WORK ON YOUR RENTAL PROPERTY!!! TRUST ME, I KNOW!!!! DEAL DIRECTLY WITH YOUR TENANTS!!! GET ANOTHER PHONE, AND GIVE THAT NUMBER TO THEM, SO YOU ARE AWARE OF EVERYTHING, AND CAN TAKE CARE OF ALL ISSUES!!!!
You as the owner should be actively involved in the process of renting, especially what is advertised about your property to prospective tenants. It’s that lax mentality of”I pay someone to do that”, which causes the greatest issues because then you feel you don’t have to make sure it’s being done right. Having rental property as an investment can be great when managed properly, but will be a financial black hole when it’s not. And this is usually a bigger issue when trying to manage properties in other cities, states or counties, best to be as hands on as possible.
Next time take a picture of the house before the tenants move in to show them it was clean when they moved in. Take them to small claims court for the damages to the property without your approval. That's crazy! I'm trying to get tenants in my property. It's been a process.
Wait some of the property management company don’t want to go manage their property because it’s on the “black side“ side of town, but you have a white couple living in there. If they’re willing to come and live in there so much to be willing to manage your property, but, get you some home warranties to help deal with some of the repair expensive anything breaks while they’re living there. Actually they probably should get the home warranty name but either way just deal with it. That way from most items that would need to be repaired. I did this while home because I didn’t want to deal with a property management company and I made a deal with the owner that anything that was under $200 repair I would cover. And well basically I’ve only had to bother him about replacing the washing machine, everything else for all the years I live there I took care of the home warranty so therefore he had repairs done technicians and I didn’t have to bother him nor have to deal with the substandard management company replacing items with substandard work and supplies and finishes. They were trying to make his beautiful home look like a home in the projects.
Good for you but make sure you keep all your records especially the lies that your property manager told your tenants I guess I tried taking you to court
The real tragedy is owning a single family home only to rent it out while the US is literally doing nothing about the lack of affordable starter homes for families.
Yes, but also no? If the loans aren't being given out it's better for an individual to rent it out at a price a family can afford, rather than a corporation snatching it up and letting it sit empty. Even better if the individual owner sets up rent-to-own so that the rent goes towards a down-payment.
I’m so glad you checked on your property and fired the property management company.
If you have time, please file a complaint against the company.

THIS!! All of this!! You need every penny back. In addition, the fee for your flight.
Also, file a complaint with the state real estate agency. With the proof, you may make sure they don't do this to anyone else again.

Kuddos to you on becoming your own property manager!!! No one will care for your property better than you!!!
I tell my mother visit your property…it’s yours never let someone tell you how the house looks or what’s going on. All that travel is tax deductible.
Yessss! Get off your ass to see about your OWN property. Yearly inspections should be an requirement.
I would sue them for the things I paid for that they didn't fix, clean or replace.
GLORY HALLELUJAH AMEN ❤❤🎉MY GIRL ❤

Great job in being a hands-on landlord! 🎉

Hello fellow Marylander! Very happy to hear that you’re now taking over and got rid of that scam ass property management company.

Your PM company was ripping you off as many if them will.
You have to audit the property and the PM company.

A LOT of property management companies are horrible. smh

My mother 😊😊 always said, manage your own sht. People lie 🤥 all the time 🤣
Being your own property manager isn't going to save you from tenants who destroy your property. I learned that the hard way.
You're the boss now!
I absolutely love your video.
Real estate is an investment. Where we put extra cash flow from deals.
I would renovate the rental property. Furnish it and list it on Airbnb.

I'd send a letter to BBB

Homeownership doesn't suck. It's a blessing. But you have to be very active in the care of your investment.

Will you fix the things that are messed up in the house?
Now I understand why it's highly recommended not to live more than 1-3 hours from any of your properties.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yyyaaaaaayyyyy 🎉🎉🎉

Good for you but make sure you keep all your records especially the lies that your property manager told your tenants I guess I tried taking you to court
Would it be more profitable and less stressful overall to sell the property, take the profits to help pay down personal debt?
Girl I'm in St Paul. What you need help with?
You should tell us the company name. It's your experience & we don't want that same experience.
SELL THAT HOUSE SIS!!💯💯💯💯
A dependable husband never would've let any of this drama happen in the first place.
Wow. She could be gay for all you know. Not everyone needs a man to live
❤
Can AI create a "dependable husband" cause other than that how you create one of those...?
@@kelil1750 That part!

Cat is scratching stuff, though
Who reported that, the cat?
Renting out a home you cant afford and having someone else that can afford it pay the mortgage is explotation and it should be illegal
