Brighton was a favourite Victorian getaway from London but now it has a Green Party MP and is the UK's San Francisco for both it's arts, bohemian & gay friendly scene.
The guys in Big Push were thrilled when they hit one MILLION viewers with this video. Imagine their surprise when they realize that it's now two BRAZILIAN people that have watched it!
I really love what you and Black Pegasus are doing with introducing new people to Ren's music! I would love to se Andrew and Stephanie back to react to more Ren! Stephanie would absolutely love Humble!!!
That girl is a friend of the band. The girl she is with is even in a couple of their official videos, like "Sweet Little Lady". You can also see them, and more of their group, in a couple other busking performances dancing.
Absolutely love these Ren reactions with your invited guests, listening to their perspective of Ren's musical versatility and creativeness always puts a smile on my face. Love & respect from London ❤
I love watching your reaction videos, especially when you bring guests on. Please bring Stephanie and Andrew back! Thanks again, looking forward to your next video releases! 😊
Totally agree with your comments about Ren finding his own style in the Trick the Fox days. And agree that he would not have developed into the artist we know and love today, if he had had success at that early time. Ironically, his illness, and his independence from the record industry, have given him the strength, substance, and maturity to slay us with every track. And in those years of illness and isolation he was able to hone his craft to genius levels - something which he may not have had the freedom to do if success had come too early.
Sux that it had to come from a lot of pain and suffering that he has had to endure both physically and mentally tho and he may never get back to full health ,it's heart breaking to me 😢
After this song they do a 'Warpigs' mashup by Black Sabbeth which great and worth a reaction if you have not already done it............Then they finnish with 'Paint it Black' by the Rolling Stones also worth reacting to and listen right until the end Goran says they better scarper before the police comes ....lol....If you have allready reacted to them great......Cheers for reaction.
Ren actually does an encore while the band packs up, I wanna say it was another mashup that included Dominoes, but I'm not 100%, I only watched it once in a sea of other performances.
Introduce them to the Big Push performance from the song “ Bongo Bong “. I think they will enjoy it. Ren and the Big Push are fantastic. They are great musicians. Thank you for the great reaction.
Oh! I Love this reaction by Stephanie and Andrew! It's so refreshing to see their enthusiasm for the wonders of Ren and The Big Push. Great job, Melvin!! 💜
I’ve watched this enough times to assume this was all preplanned. If you watch the second time Ren goes in to the I shot the sheriff section Romain turned and got in place with his solo and Goran checked to make sure Romaine was there. Then on the ‘take it down’ part, Romain got into position and positioned his legs in such a way so he would be able to bend down. The camera knew to deliberately be ready to film Romain in blur for that one lyric section. I think the transitions between these songs had to have been preplanned. There was no doubt some busking they did that had some ‘winging it’ thrown in for good measure. I remember seeing on one where Ren was communicating with the others about a small change. They practiced and clearly had it down. But they also were skilled enough to always find their way to step in seamlessly. I love how on Bongo Bong Goran is drinking some wine (?) still when Ren and Goran had already began. He very casually set his glass down and just jumped playing in without missing a beat.
They perform this a lot, though they experiment with different songs mixed in. Romain always has a solo at that part, usually it's a similar run, but he wings a lot of it too. All their performances are like that, practiced, but experimental. Changing song mixes, voice, tempo, even genres, I've heard this as full on Rock. Watch the drummer at the very beginning of this video, before he starts drumming, you can see the surprise and look of approval at where Ren is going. It's not rehearsed, just familiar.
@@twistedpixel756 Thanks. I enjoy learning extra bits like you provided. I would have loved to have seen them perform live. Clearly I have a love more videos to watch. I’m guessing the Brighton Beach Busking site is probably where I need to turn to now.
Another great session with the noobs Melvin.. Cool to see Steph's heart flutter a bit when those reggae tones erupted. Of course come back guys. Picture the scene Melvin. One off venue Maybe the Royal Albert Hall in England where Adele had such a personal performance. A gig to beat all gigs. Ren and the whole Reni verse converge for a special one off. Invitations to the biggest fans and reactors only. Forget Kardashians breaking the internet that would bury it lol
I'm a 70+ year old lover of all genres of music, and I put this performance up there with two of my other absolute favorite live performances, those being Santana Soul Sacrifice at Woodstock, and Dire Straits Alchemy Live performance of Sultans of Swing. So happy to see real music is still alive and well in this world of complete and total turmoil thanks to people like Ren (and f>ck the Grammys for not recognizing his genius!!) Mozart...and the Marleys would be proud!!
We're used to busking all over the UK, but I believe Brighton has quite a big busking community. I'm new here (in this Ren rabbit hole a few months now and loving it and him) - loved this reaction.... Another excuse to watch Ren and Co again of course - what's not to love! So, don't know if you've done it yet... but Freckled Angels was written for his mate Joe who died by suicide back in 2010... He's performing this live a few months after his death. And there is Ren... Anyway, I'll be back to work through the Reniverse Playlist for sure...
Brilliant! If you are looking for reggae influenced talent I think you might like Jinjer(band) Tatiana Shmayluk (singer) judgement and punishment one take vocal ❤ Love you Melvin
The girl who's walking back and forth was in a Brighton Beach Busking video, talking to one of the band members (forgot whom) between songs. They seemed to know her. I had the impression she was a girlfriend.
Her friend in the orange is in their video Sweet Little Lady, as well as being in that beach video, another girl, and guy from SLL is also in that beach video hanging out with those two. If we're talking about the same performance, upside down house, girl in grey brought her dancing shoes for the latter half of the performance? I think the title was something like [Travel log] Busking in Brighton Beach with The Big Push. Melvin, if you haven't reacted to "It's Alright" yet, you should do so before watching that video, for fidelity's sake. That song is pretty awesome too, but the performance is a vibe in and of itself, so def check that one out, even if you dont film it.
You should try Ren and Sam Improvising Around Stevie Wonder, it's live in the streets and they go back and forth on the Superstition instrumental, I'm pretty sure they were winging it just freestyling whatever tracks they thought would fit.
There is another video, The Big Push I Shot The Sheriff (Bob Marley) Live in Brighton 2021. It's the same busking session but shot from a different view. Too bad there's a lot of background noise and it's a but shaky but interesting to see more of the public and the ambiance.
Please do a reaction to "Crutch". It was done during the height of Ren's illness and with zero budget and is hauntingly beautiful. It's something completely different, but trust me, it will blow your mind!

One of the best live performances I have seen by any band - period. And to think this was on a street corner, and for free - crazy !

My home city of Brighton. And I'm in crowd somewhere 😊
You MUST see Bongo Bong...with Romain rapping in French too. Smooth 👍

Wonderful reactions to Ren. A really good song from the Big Push with Ren is Englishman in New York.

I love how you show your friends our favourite artist thank you ❤❤❤
I think Stephanie will like Ren's rap because I'm not a fan of rap but love Ren's rapping definitely bring them back
Totally agree, I don't like rap but when does it I love it!

Warpigs black sabbath cover was done straight after this track ,which was as good as the i shot the sheriff geez
Was Watch Out (live busking) that same day?
My favorite Big Push busking video. Thanks for reacting to it.
He plays in the key of Ren 😍
Angleseas' Brightest Makes Brighton Brighter and our World Better #LoveREN
This is a Mount Rushmore performance by Ren & big push. That’s saying something because he has so many.
I'm a 70+ year old lover of all genres of music, and I put this performance up there with two of my other absolute favorite live performances, those being Santana Soul Sacrifice at Woodstock, and Dire Straits Alchemy Live performance of Sultans of Swing. Melvin, I hope you have them on again!
One of my favourite ones... Thanks again! 😄😁😊
My favorite Ren and The Big Push song!

Thanks! I've just added them to my list and I'll try to check some of them out soon!
I love your support for Ren.
Great reaction by them both and I love this version so much!
Sorry, missed the ty to Hi Ren, great reactions. 🙏👍🐊❤️🦉

Another day Another awesome reaction thankyou from 🇬🇧
You gotta show them Humble ft Eden Nash
I think Molly McKinna is the name you were thinking of. Track is Penitence
I don't know about a 5th song, but the 4th one is "With A Little Bit Of Luck" by DJ Luck and MC Neat.
i think they even borrowed it from someone else.
Dead Prez - Bigger than hip hop
You should try Ren and Sam Improvising Around Stevie Wonder, it's live in the streets and they go back and forth on the Superstition instrumental, I'm pretty sure they were winging it just freestyling whatever tracks they thought would fit.
❤
Briton does have an area that encourages busking
There is another video, The Big Push I Shot The Sheriff (Bob Marley) Live in Brighton 2021. It's the same busking session but shot from a different view. Too bad there's a lot of background noise and it's a but shaky but interesting to see more of the public and the ambiance.

is the film your thinking about "the hidden" (1987) ?
👏👏👏👏
Shes doing photos and collecting and sales and making sire no one walks or the cords etc ....
Ever looked at the crowd behind Ren? About 90% women. 🙃
🏴🇳🇿🍻😎🤙👌😊
👋👋👋👋
And i dont know the set up they have but must be some reason why she had to walk in front in stead of the back of the cam
Red dress girl annoys the crap out of me, and she shows no respect and she doesn't need to go through the middle of the band.
Girl in red dress regardless of job should learn to walk round
