This bike is a dream machine for someone like me BUT following the track record of Yamaha pricing their CBUs, i know this bike would be priced so ridiculously high that many other capable motorcycles (ones even above its segment) would seem much more VFM.

I love street triple but this might be the only bike that i might prefer over that one. What an amazing bike this one is definitely one of my dream bikes.
here in the US, we have been seeing these for the last 10 years this is in its 3rd generation. Although the engine has been awarded for being one of the best in the previous decade, It has some reliability issues. Also, these new transitions to DCT, AMT, and e-clutch make sense for an 800-pound motorcycle not sure how good it is on a smaller capacity, lighter bike. It is also slowly making people move away from gaining core skills of riding motorcycles like managing clutch, braking, etc.
What ure saying is right but in many countries people don't have most basic thing known as common sense, reading the environment while riding bike or driving car that's more dangerous part😂
You're not giving enough time to learning to ride that's why, I'm also a new motorcycle rider I've previously ridden scooters, I struggle with the clutch so much but I never give up and practice daily and I've definitely improved a lot.

Regarding the AMT version I agree that keeping it in manual mode makes the most sense to avoid unexpected gear changes. I have tried several Honda bikes with DCT and felt the same with those too. Does Yamaha's solution work smoothly when starting from stand still? And if one uses manual mode does it still shift down to avoid stalling the engine if you accidently leave it in a higher gear and slow down?
