No foot shift means your light coloured Summer boots won't get black smudges on top and when you drop the bike you won't damage a foot shift or clutch lever. I think this system is great regardless if you want auto, manual paddle or both.
The slew of auto transmissions are very clever, they are mostly aimed at new riders who see learning clutch control as an obstacle (this is why point n squirt scooters are popular). BMW system is the same. It's the future, best embrace it 😉
Hi there. I testrode exactly that bike a week ago before buying a Moto Guzzi Stelvio 🙂 It was a weired feeling after many many years of foot shifting. I was astonished how well it worked. Seemless and quite perfect. But on the other side I thought what will my left foot do now? How boring is this for him... I was irritated. If I had to choose I certainly would need a day or a weekend to test it out. But right now I would say I'd stay with a normal gearbox with a good quickshifter. Greetings Michael

Very good points indeed. Haven’t thought of those. Small things, but can all be added to the “pro” list !
Super Video as Usual.
Keep doing more such content ❤❤❤

Absolutely 💯
looks very attractive as a motorcycle commuter. even though shifting isn't hard at all, i can focus even more on traffic.
As a previous mt09 owner.
I would buy one.
What ever make riding better in my veiw.

Thanks for your comment Michael! It is indeed an odd feeling when your foot has nothing left to do, haha!
How do low speed maneuvers work? 5-10mph doesn’t seem possible without feathering the clutch.
It works surprisingly well, not super smooth, but well enough, you can simply play with throttle and rear brakes to do go slow
I bet the main reason that there’s no shift lever is that the buttons cost far less to manufacture
Hmmm, interesting viewpoint. It could be true
Perhaps with automatic shifting it's easier to meet Euro 5+ requirements
it would be perfect if the 'manual mode' had a pedal tu be used as quick shifter imo
Yeah I agree ☝🏻
Might as well have an automatic mod
can you wheelie it?
Yea, you can, power wheelies though, no clutch-ups, obviously
can u just talk and close up to the motocycle..why u are so far just to show the view.😅
Thanks for the feedback, I do agree with it, but couldn’t change much about it in edit
